This is just a random topic, as I haven't actually had my test under the Akatsuki, but I felt I should put it out there: Is anyone else starting to get a bad vibe from the akatsuki initiation tests? The current ranking is two dead, and the one who did survive lost both of his arms in the process. >.>;; I realize they're supposed to be incredibly difficult and all, so as to make the whole Akatsuki thing more of a privilege, but I'm starting to wonder at my odds. sweatdrop

I'm just curious as to how other people feel about the akatsuki initiation, whether it be retroactively or otherwise. So post your thoughts and let me know what you think about the tests, whatever those thoughts may be.

What if everyone else fails though?

The longer I wait to take my test, the more excited I am becoming about it. I'm concerned about my odds, of course, as the previous two to take Kisame's test failed, however moreso I am finding myself curious as to how the whole thing is going to play out. My only real regret if I lose will be that I wasn't able to play out a character who I put a good amount of effort into and would've liked to have expanded upon more.

Though I do have to say.... I'm absolutely amazed that so many people have picked Kisame.

I'm also kinda sad that most of the applicants are from the Hidden Mist village, with the Takumi in a not-even-close second place. Takumi isn't really a problem because there's only been 3 applications which isn't a big percentage of their village


I should serious make a Guild-Wide arc where the MizuKage is like "WTF HAPPENED TO ALL MAH NINJA!?!?!" cause all the Jounin seem to be disappearing xp

...and oddly most of them go to Kisame, which if you think about it is weird. The guy LEFT the Mist then he turns around and all the Hidden Mist are standing behind with signs, "WE LUVS YOU KISAME".
He'd probally have a heart-attack then flip out and kill everyone with Samehada xp

Hey, I'm Hidden Rain!! xp But seriously, it's like my character's dream to become the great shark's, a.k.a. kisame's, apprentice and then to become the fiercest shark ninja of them all, hopefully surpassing the entire Kuzaka Clan in the process.

However, once again I have to mention my own frustration. I can't kill this thing (not my objective), I can't feed it (it spat the meat out of its mouth!! @.@), and I don't know what else to do. I used the Mizu Bunshins in an effort to gather information so I'd know how to beat it, but so far all they've done is confirm my own doom. The thing is unbeatable, unless there's a secret random method I don't know of to get it to eat. >.>;;; I'm hoping that isn't the case as that would just be cheap....

Well so far the current pass percentage is 20% or 1 out of 5, which isn't bad. But in all these tests I've defenately learned some lessons.

First and foremost: The Battle system needs to be used a bit more often methinks lol
Secondly: Kage Bushin is a very strange Technique in our combat system and atm is on the boarder between being absolutely useless and way too powerful.
Thirdly: People reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyREALLY like Kisame
Fourthly: Tossed Chum. Nuff said.
Lastly: I should probally take a Guild Pool to an "official" dice rolling system.

Some people use just One Offensive Dice, One Defensive Dice and One Critical Die. Which is fine

Others use as many dice is necissary for however many actions they use. Which is fine too. (This doesn't fall under people just rolling a huge handful of dice and picking and choosing which ones suit them though eek )

However when two people are battling using those two different methods it can give one side an edge, which is bad.

Looking at the other initiations, I can see right now that there's a way to pass each of them. In fact, I'm pretty sure I could pass Kisame's if I gave it a go. (Which I plan to, when he is available again.)
