Dark Tidings:

Dark Tidings, a new MMORPG out in open Beta, is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy game featuring some of the most revolutionary experiences available to technology today. New players start out as a Mecha pilot with one of three classes, each with their own special abilities. Make an account, choose a race and class and get started! Customize your mech, complete quests from the players and the NPCs, join a guild, travel the galaxy, and do much more!

((Alright, here's my setting I've been working on, on and off. I'll be putting stuff form a word document on my school computer, and I'll be adding commentary asking for help. Any ideas are, of course, welcome. Darl Tidings has strict RP enforcement and player-run governments.))

Races:

Human: Terrans are usually good pilots. They have average technology on their own, but their mecha builds are outstanding. They usually aren’t strong in the ether department.
Kyurgan: Using energy from crystals from their home planet, their technology resembles the Protoss from StarCraft. They appear similar to Lizardfolk. Naturally armored, they have more resistance to attacks. They don’t have much of a connection to the Ether stream.
Yythrrilm: A nezumi race with primitive technology. They have a high connection to the Ether stream, and much of their weaponry is enhanced by magic.
Zurian: An elven race. They have great levels of technology.
Orcs: Similar to humans in tech level, Weaker in the ether department. Their mecha aren’t that good, but their personnel weaponry is excellent.
Sithrugami: A high Ether undead-like race. They also use magic to create technology.
Ra’Zalga: A humanoid raven race. They use technology similar to the Kyurgan. They have small levels of connected in their ranks. They can fly, and hate water.
Vraekin: A race similar to humans. They worship demons, and have a large amount of Ether. Their technology is about the modern-day level.

((Alright, races. I'm having some trouble making them enitrely original, so any ideas would be great. Also, I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for Humans and Orcs specifiacally.))

Classes:

Technician: Technicians have a lot of skill repairing and upgrading Mecha. They also have good computer skills, and hack well.

Pilot: Pilots have great skill inside a cockpit and can manipulate others well. Their fast talking can smooth over many situations.

Connected: A connected has a strong connection to the Ether stream, thus the name. Their high intelligence and paranormal activity makes them formidable foes. They have less health than others, however.

Surgeon: Genetic Implants and the ability to heal others marks this class' Specialty. Their abilities depend on what they kill to level. They take genetic traits of the enemies they fight, and add certain components to themselves when the level up. A certain amount of Ether is required.

((I need ideas for classes. I know I want at least have 4, but I'd like 6. There are also sub-classes, which I have yet to come up with. I want a main combat class, but can't come up with a good idea for it, since the game is centered around mecha, and there's already the pilot.))

Worlds:

Terra: The human starting location and homeworld. The landscape is a lot like Corescant, with most of the planet being one big city. This is the main Empire city, where you can sign up for guilds, join NPC factions, access the main in-game and out-of- game boards, access the largest Empire market in the game, access the trade house, and lots more. There are little creatures to hunt here. Terra has one moon.

Yorii: Yorii is the Yythrrilm starting location, and one of their main colonies in this sector. The cities are mostly in the jungles and mountains, and little of the world is water. Yorii has no moons.

Imbross III: Imbross III is the Vraekin starting world. Most of the land is scarred plains, and many of the cities are underground. There are lots of creatures for hunting and fighting. Imbross III has one moon.

Dyev: Kyurgan starting location. There are many creatures that have experienced unnaturally large growth. All types of terrain exist on this world. There are a small amount of cities, and all in various locations. Dyev has three moons.

Ko: Ko is the Orc’s starting location. It appears much like current day earth for cities and terrain, but there is much more desert. Ko is an important Orc colony. There are many various creatures, many of them fantasy-like. This is the main Darkened Worlds world. world, and is much like Terra. Ko has four moons.

Zuria:Zuria is the Zurian starting world. There are many fantasy creatures. Most of the terrain is field and beach, but there are mountains and snow plains, too. Zuria has one moon.

Sabik: Ra’Zalga starting location. There is very little ground, and most of the planet is water, but there are lost of aerial cities. There are lots of fantasy creatures. Sabik has no moons.

Lambracht: Known as the ruined world, this world has many ancient cities, most of them destroyed. There are a few settlements. Most of the terrain is volcanic, and many creatures still exist all over the world. People are still looking for rumored thriving ancient cities.

Moore: A space-pirate controlled world. Well defended and very much like the Star Forge world in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Little is known about it, as the space pirates don’t let anyone on the world willingly.

((Each world is a server. Tjhere are multiple realms, each has its own set of servers for each of the planets. At least, that's how I imagined this possible. You can transfer characters between servers for free, but not between realms for free. I also need to come up with my own world names, as I used a Battletech 3050 star map for this one.))
