but anyway, i was just wondering if anyone was going to otakon this weekend. in maryland. and if you are maybe we can meet up and talk. have a fun gay group bash or something. i dunno sweatdrop

I believe this is alright, it doesn't break any TOS, plus we're just expressing a common interest two gay people have XD
I would LOVE to go to any convention out of Canada, since they seem to have bigger stuff in US XD!! Sadly I can't go.. o.o! However being the avid anime fan I am, I request you to please tell me what you've encountered in the there ^_^! Like cosplays, any yaoi/yuri-ish happenings, etc. Any notable events and wonderful things!!

Only one I've been to is Anime Oasis...because it's about 10 minutes from my home. Small, but fun. I did some cosplay, but it was kind of half assed. At least I wasn't one of the guys in a bathrobe and homemade sandals made of cardboard and yarn...

There was an Otafest on the University of Calgary campus back in June, but this city isn't very big on events unless it's something like the Stampede. I couldn't go though, damn orientations. stare

I couldn't go though, damn orientations. stare Oh yeah I was there XD! Here's a pic of me.. in the whitemage cloak that belongs to my friend, but is still in my closet drawers for some lazy reason.. XD! And to my left is my bf. I didn't even know a pic was taken of me ;-;! I do my best not to have pics taken unless its a girl in a cosplay with a big smile that asks XD! Oh, the orientation was on campus, but I was busy learning the way of "success" as a university student. All I saw of it was one girl twice my size dressed as a schoolgirl.

otakon was -amazing-...seriously amazing.
you all should have come and let me glomp you. but, seeing as you didn't i can let you know that i had tons of people take pictures of me (i was dressed as black rose from .hack//) and that the rave was great and that there was more hot loving abound than i could really stand.
if you ever have the chance, come to otakon. i demand it heart
