Celestial_Bakura i like "when David heard" by eric whitacre. and is the Sleep previously mentioned in this thread by eric whitacre also? Ahhhh, When David Heard is amazing! I love Eric Whitacre songs. "With a Lily in Your Hand" and "Hope Faith Life Love" are both great too. I've sung both of them as a soprano 2.
I also like this one arrangement of Elijah Rock that we're singing...but I forget the arranger's name. Agh! But it's awesome.

My favorite mass work is Rene Clausen's "Memorial", or John Rutter's Requiem.
My favorite individual piece is "Shout Glory!" by Byron J. Smith.

My School Chorus is actually going to sing Sleep for the Spring. It's a very beautiful piece.
I also like "Voice Dance" and "O Sapo." Oh Sapo is just plan fun, we did it for all-county this year. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Tsunraye I was just wondering what everyone's favorite choral pieces are. Mine are Where the Earth meets the sky: The Pasture, and Sleep blaugh blaugh I LOVE The Pasture! I sang it in 2004 in the Alabama All-State SATB Middle School Choir. I would have to say that my favorite piece now would be the Lauridsen rendition of O Magnum Mysterium. As far as accompaniment for choral pieces goes, for I am also a pianist, The Awakening by Joseph Martin blows all other pieces out of the water in my opinion! 3nodding

Personally my favorites have almost always been latin. I do love Jubilate Deo and Nigra Sum, but I also love The Joy That Is Music(big booming type song that is amazing), Breath of Heaven(love it), and 'Til We Meet Again. Their all relatively difficultish. Depends on the choir I sang it in. All the ones from Treble are hard. The one from Mixed was difficult, but relatively easy for me.
