Title says it all. Particularly where do you go for your ultra rare stuff?
I typically use FYE, Amazon, and The End Records. For ultra rare stuff I'm typically ********.

The Resurrection Title says it all. Particularly where do you go for your ultra rare stuff?
I typically use FYE, Amazon, and The End Records. For ultra rare stuff I'm typically ******** class="clear"> I don't buy off of the internet.. mainly because of distance, getting an album that would be cheaper online ends up being more expensive because of the shipping payments. So I used to go to the Downtown Galleries in my city.. some obscure s**t there... I remember there was a CD store which sold exclusively Heavy & Power, maybe some Prog... then another one was well versed in rare Black/Pagan/Folk/Death stuff... I found a Cancer album there once, if you know the band, you know how rare is that now I haven't buy an album in a while, except for some The Who albums I bought in a regular store... but with the availability of MP3 and the unavailability of my wallet, I just kinda get things in the "other" way... and that's my fountain for rare stuff

I buy at Mix-ups. There's a Metal/Jazz/Blues store in the city, but it is usually more expensive than Mix-ups. And the stuff they have in both shops, is super popular, if I wanted, say Galneryus or Hibria(not even so underground to begin with), I'd be pretty much ******** up. crying

Because I've been to Monterrey.. and there you've got the Dark Vissions store which has a ******** of things Still, you are pretty lucky you've got Mix-Up there, that store is unveliebably (sp? >_>) good for when it comes to metal... it's because one of the CEO of Mix Up (not sure which) has a taste for those kind of bands, and, for a popular music store, it haves much more metal albums that i've ever seen in popular music stores in my country.

buy? buy? what is this "buy"?
just kidding.
i live in maine, and theres a pretty good store called bull moose up here - you can get a lot of different kinds of stuff there.
i also get some stuff online. but i dont really buy music anymore. y'know the tape trading scene from the 80s? its still alive up here. i get tapes and burned cds off of my friends, and when they want something i have, i return the favor. i think a good 7/8ths of my music is either burned or copied onto tape...

No, I'm from Monterrey, and do believe me when I say DV is pretty short on Metal, sure it's got lots of things, but most of these you could also pick from Mix-up or some other stores. There are a few rare bands whose names I had never heard, but most of them I have heard of... now I think about it, the stores are simply weird, because while they have some really dark and unknown bands, they also lack some of the big bands, like Cathedral, Angra or Accept. D: When I see shelves dedicated solely to the pioneering bands witht their entire catalogues, and then separate shelves for the dark, tr00, grim and frostb1t3n bands, I'm changing my view on them. ninja Also, the prices drive me crazy: Celtic Frost's Montheist is around 30 USD. crying

I know mostly they sell shirts, but I've seen some really weird recordings as well.... In my expeirence, DV is the biggest and fanciest Metal store I've ever been in. When I went there I was like "i want this, and this, and this, and this, and this too >_>" And yes, the prices are REALLY high for everything, tickets for shows and albums are WAY more expensive than in my country..... I went to see Anthrax in the Café Iguana and I believe I payed double for what I would've pay to see them here. Still, Monterrey is one of the most metal cities I've ever been in (lol at the fact that it is/was an industrial city >_>). And you've got the MMF, which is much more than whatever we can say we have here... except for the couple of Monsters of Rock Fests this country could afford in the nineties domokun Kudos for living in monterrey, I love the city xp

However I've not seen anyone sell T-Shirts, save selling cds. I've also wanted a lot of stuff I've seen in the shop, but then most of it I could simply listen to with my friends. I've yet to find a Viking, Folk or speed Metal record in them. >_> Prices are High, though we have some really awesome concerts, Obituary and Sadus are coming together in May. Monterrey is big metal-wise, however, it is widely dominated by popular music - 'Banda' and 'Norteña' if you know them - . MMF PWNS, the day before it, I took a pic with Udo which came out in shity quality... Monterrey pwns, but it'd pwn much more if Metal wasn't so expensive. xp

lol actually I meant Fundadores... not Fundidora, I get mistaken because of the name
In Fundidora they did sell shirts at the MMF, but crappy ones that is >_>
Fundadoras is the underground plaza in downtown, I guess you know it
I know Norteño and Banda music, lol it sucks xd
you know what I like about Fundidora..... Plaza Sesamo >_> lol
and I know of the amazingness of your gigs... when I was there I missed Amon Amarth and later in the month it was time for Arch Enemy and Kreator... none of those bands ever came to my country ;_; (even though I don't like Arch Enemy, lol).
A friend of my ex gf took a picture or two with UDO the day before MMF... maybe you are in it, lol
Still, it's not that expensive in Fundadores.. because it's underground and s**t, if you can, go with some friends because it's worthed to check it out (I'm sure you already know the place, though), they've got some awesome shirts there and some puestos have cds too.
The place isn't really friendly looking though xd
Still, from what I know of in Latin America, Mexico gets the most metal stuff and gigs. Either in Monterrey or in DF with the Circo Volador and stuff.
I miss the greasy, fat-filled tacos mañaneros <_<

And yes, Norteña and Banda do suck, but they're part of my countrie's folk music, so my loving for the Mexican Folklore makes me love it... emo Plaza Sesamo looks awesome, I'll go be silly there one day. I'll definitely check out Fundadores, if it sucks hard, I'm going to hire a guy to wear Llama outfit and bvttsekz you. <_<

Every CD I have bought was purchased at FYE, with the exception of Symphony X's first album, which I found at Borders. Now I am beginning to rely on the Internet for my Viking metal needs.
