The year is 1899 of the Era of the Awakening - 2 days until the
Laburnum City is gearing up for the preperation of the annual Festival of High Priestess Seyumi which marks the anniversary of the start of the Awakening. At dusk, the mages of the Light Temple will become the only illumination in the city and a large gathering in the city's square will start of the 3 days of festivities.
A shrine to all those who had died in the 3 Great Gaian Wars stands in the middle of the city and by tradition, the youngest members of each country's ruling family will walk inside and display their peace offerings on the shrine alter.
However, ties between the East and West have been strained as of late and rumors of the start of another war have been spreading throughout Laburnum... However, no one has anything to fear.
