So today I was at guitar lessons, and my teacher and I were going over basic chords (Because im the rhythm with solos in my band) and he asked me to do Back In Black off of a list of songs he had, and I have always had trouble playing the small lick in the beggining and he knew that, and today it seemed like my speed randomly got better out of nowhere... I can even play the opening of Sweet Child o' mine without messing up, which is a big deal because I suck at that song, has this ever happened to anyone else?

I don't think I have ever been possessed by the guitar gods as you have, but I will say that when I come back to something I had been working on, it just sounds and feels better. Of course, then there are also those times when you come back to something and forget it. That's different, however.

Yeah, I've had moments where I completely suck but kept practicing. After awhile, I just give up, and the next day, I somehow can magically play it perfectly. I think the reason is, in practicing it a lot, you actually nail it, but you're too frustrated at your suckage to realize it, so you keep the suckage going for that while. I dunno. Maybe. xp

I know that one time I recorded the lead to a song in one take, and I had no idea how the hell I managed it. It was the best lead I'd done for that song (worked on it for MONTHS) and all of the sudden, bam, out of a jam, it was the most flowing and most effective lead I had. I had to fix a few parts up, but that's a minor detail. (song's in my sig ninja )

Yeah it's happened to me before too. I was learning a really fast song that I couldn't play no matter how hard I tried, then one day I played it with almost no problems. I was ecstatic. ^^
