The small blue cub wandered through the Pridelands, his bright eyes searching every crevice and niche of the lands he now called home. He hadn't been in the world very long just yet, but he was starting to get the hang of things now. He still had speech problems, but he was a fast learner and started to take on the speech patterns of his parents.
With a rather ungraceful bound, he jumped over a rock and landed in a ditch on the other side with a thud. Groaning at his own stupidity, he lifted himself up and shook the dirt off his all blue coat.
Sitting down in the ditch, Kialio realized it was too high up for him to climb out himself. He made a look of concern before trying to jump up. His paw reached the edge of the hole, but it was too slick for him to grab a hold of and he fell back down. Oh no. He thought, knowing his parents would be looking for him soon. His siblings would make such fun of him for falling into a ditch! And not being able to get out? He'd never liver this down! He continued to try, hoping someone would come along to help him, someone other than a member of his family.

Weusinafsi was taking a stroll on the outskirts of the pridelands. Her slender green form moved swiftly along the trees and bush that littered the pridelands as she moved farther inland. Her long tail flicked with her every movement her pink eyes focusing on what was before her.
It was at that moment that she saw someone fall, or seemingly fall. Her curiousity struck the leopardess and her paws beat against the ground as she moved forward to investigate.
"My my, now what do we have here? Nafsi cooed out peering into the ditch and gazing at the trapped cub immured by the confines of the depth of the ditch itself.

Lio looked up at the leopardess above him, eyes wide with surprise. "Who're you?" He asked, his head tilting to the side. "Can you help me?" The little cub had never seen a leopard before, and her spots and form interested him greatly. He didn't realize he was staring at her with an expression of awe for a while, and when he did he lowered his head in embarassment and smiled sheepishly.

The leopardess smiled at the cub below her as he stared in awe. It was a natural reaction she knew, after all not many knew of the leopards, especially not young ones, and she was on of the best looking ones around.
"I could," She cooed out "but do you know the proper way to ask someone for help?"
Ah mind manipulation was one of the funnest things, but she wasn't going to help the blue lion cub unless he could prove to her that he had manners. Nafsi's pink eyes watch the cub with interest, so much she could do yet she wouldn't. She had heard tales of the large numbers of the lions in the pridelands and she knew that it would not be wise to take one, not this far in atleast, not yet, besides she couldn't be sure what to do with one yet. She had much plotting and planning to do.
Perhaps all the feline needed was to gain the others trust.

Lio looked up and nodded. "I know! Could you please help me, miss?" He said, beaming with pride at how he remembered his manners. "It's very nice to meet you! Lovely day, isn't it?" He said, smiling proudly once more after he spoke.
Little Lio wondered if this creature would help him, and he certainly hoped so. He was starting to get hungry and he wanted to go home. He also thought of his parents; were they worried about him? Were they looking for him? He didn't think so, since he hadn't been gone too long. He pushed the thoughts aside for the time being and smiled back up at the pretty lady.

Nafsi continued to smile. At least this one had manner, good ones. Very useful...very useful indeed. "I will help you, but after I help you out, I would like to talk to you for a little bit, that way if I come back to these lands I could easily find you." A slight pause for a breath before the leopard spoke once more. "I am glad to see that not all young ones have forgotten their manners."
She thought of her best option, since the ditch wasn't too deep she could probably leap in and out of it with ease, even with extra weight on her back. "Ah, where are my manners? My name is Weusinafsi and it is nice to meet you." Once again she spoke "I'm going to jump in and you will climb onto my back, make sure that you hold on tightly so that you do not fall when I jump out, alright?"

Lio nodded happily up at her. He was glad that he found someone so very nice, and willing to help! He felt rather foolish being stuck in the ditch, but he was not too proud to ask for help. He thought of his brothers, and wondered if they would have asked for help. He doubted it.
Waiting for the leopardess to jump down, he stood to the side to give her room. He waited with bright eyes and a smile, hoping he wouldn't fall off her back.

Leaping gracefully into the ditch she laid down waiting for him to climb onto her back. "Hold tightly but try not to break flesh with your claws, a bit of scratches are alright but I'd prefer to not get blood upon my fur." Her pink eyes stared directly into that of the others. "Understand?"
She was being as gentle as possible glad that this one showed manners and would most likely do whatever she said while they were in the ditch

Lio nodded in understanding and clambered onto the leopardess' back. He had never been so tall before! He smiled, wondering how long it would take him to grow taller and be big like his mom and dad.
"I'm ready!" He said, carefully holding on, making sure his little claws didn't dig into her.

When Nafsi felt the smally pricks of his small claws on her skin she rose to her full height on four paws. Then she crouched slightly before leaping into the air. Her powerfull haunches had pushed her high into the air before her forepaws smacked into the ground landing. It wasn't the most graceful but it got the job done and it hadn't done damage to her so she was content.
Settling down with her belly against the ground she allowed him room to climb down. "There you go."

Lio grinned and sqeuaked his pleasure as they flew through the air. He smiled brightly at her as he clambered off her back, looking down into the ditch; which was very high up to him, even though it was really just a few feet deep. "Wow! You're amazing!" He declared, looking up at her with yet another grin.
"I hope I can do that when I'm big!" He announced, nodding and smiling at her. "Oh, I hope I didn't hurt you! I got a little nervous and held on tighter." He said bashfully, looking at her back to make sure he hadn't hurt the nice stranger.

"Why thank you." Nafsi replied with a smile of her own. The leopardess straightened her body into a sitting postion was her pink eyes watched the cub. "I am sure that with time you will be able to do so, perhaps you will be able to jump higher than myself at one point."
A soft chuckle escaped her as she shook her head. "You didn't hurt me, I'm fine, I promise." Nafsi told him as she thought to herself
Such a sweet boy....
"Ah where are my manners, my name is Weusinafsi and it is a pleasure to meet you."

Lio smiled brightly up at her at the thought. "You really think so? I can't wait to be big!" He said, looking into the ditch with wide eyes. It wa shard to believe he'd ever be big enough to jump that high.
With a giggle he smiled up at her again. "It's very nice to meet you, too! I haven't met anyone outside my family 'till now. Do you have family?" He asked, his big eyes shining with interest.

Nafsi nodded at his enthusiasm. "I know so." The leopardess has seen many things in her life time, including many lions and there were times when they were just as big if not bigger than herself.
Then the question of having a family. "I suppose that I have a family somewhere, but have not seen any for some time." It had been atleast a year since she had seen her family, remembering that she was the second child of the litter.

Lio looked at her quizically. "You mean you don't know where they are? Aren't you lonely?" He asked, concern spread across his face. He was obviously a caring young cub, his big orange eyes filled with wonder. "Who do you sleep next to? And who plays with you? Or hunts with you?" He asked, the questions pouring out one after the other.
