frankly i find music annoying, unless playing a single player game. i cant imagine playing a multiplayer match with music
Me: "Hey man! See that guy on that ridge there? Take him out with your rifle!"
Him: *MUSIC BLASTING* "WHAT!? SORRY I CAN'T HEAR YOU MAN!"
Me: "I SAID! SHOOT TH-" *dies*

i hardly listen to music gaming. I will occasionally do it though.
it can be motivating and distacting

I don't normally play it while on live,sept in a 1-on-1 game with a friend.
But when playing SP i play music, like in GoW if im in a big fire fight, ill play some Nirvana to get me pumped.

Due to most people that i know who hate the music I like. When I play online or SP, I use the Dashboard/Xbox Live Guide panel for my music...Even then, I listen to Slipknot and Metallica, or Korn.

When I'm playing a game i just listen to Linkin Park, Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, Rammstein, or the music from the game's soundtrack
