~Scientific name~ Lemniscomys barbarus
The Zebra Mouse (also known as the African Striped Grass mouse) originally comes from North Africa. Which includes: Senegal, Tanzania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Sudan.
The colouration of the Zebra mouse is a lovely mix of earth tone browns interspersed amongst the black stripes that run from head to tail on its sides and back. Their tail is as long as the body (sometimes longer). Be careful though, their tail is very fragile.
A full-grown Zebra mouse is 3-4 inches long.
The Zebra Mouse is an entertaining pet to watch, but can be a problem to handle. Because of his or her quick speed and agile body, this rodent can easily escape someone trying to handle it. To effectively handle this creature, one should cup the mouse inside the hands. As a word of warning, picking up this mouse by its tail can be extremely harmful and painful as it may slide off. In this occurrence, the tail may never grow back. The Zebra Mouse makes a good pet for children because of their easy care and amusing antics. But this pet should be watched, not handled! This creature is active at different times throughout the day and night. They are extremely active and can often be found climbing over each other, hanging or diving from perches and climbing implements, or scurrying and playing amongst toys. If a Zebra Mouse becomes startled, they will usually spring about their cage. This creature is also known to be able to jump approximately two feet straight up into the air. This particular breed doesn't give off an offensive odor, as most rodents are known to do.
The Zebra Mouse originates in almost all areas of North Africa, with each region housing a different version of coloring for the breed. It has taken on many names throughout its life, such as the African Striped Grass Mouse, as well as distinct names in many other languages. The Zebra Mouse makes its home in semi-deserts and in brushwood and grass. In the wild, this creature is often a source of food for many birds of prey, snakes, and any other starving animal. Because the Zebra Mouse becomes active as soon as the day breaks, they are not hard prey to find. This rodent begins its day early so it can forage for seeds, fruit, or dig up plants and roots.
A zebra mouse's teeth are always growing. They always need something to chew on or they will end up with overgrown teeth. You may use blocks of soft wood or paper towel tubes.

~Job/Career~ Thievery
~Education~ Anna got through most of her high school years but in her junior year she was blamed for stealing from the photography department, and though she knew had stole the gear she didn't tell and was kicked out of school. Unable to pay her way into another school, Anna didn't finish high school.
~Physical appearance~ Anna likes to where more loose clothing though she always wears a pair of tight shorts and a tight shirt under her clothing in case she needs the run away quickly. Anna I more often, then not, seen wearing no shoes, though she does wear a anklet on her right leg which has a small key on it.
Anna wears her hair loose normally though she sometimes pulls it back in a loose ponytail.

Anna has bright round eyes which sometimes make her look like a little child. Anna has remarkably strong legs from all her years of running, though she has just as much arm strength from helping out the elderly near where she lives.
~Personality~ Anna tends to look on the brighter side of things, always looking for the silver lining. She will only steal when she feels it wont hurt who she's stealing from.
~Habits/Hobbies~ Anna has the habit of playing with her hair when she is lying. She also has the habit of nose twitching slightly when she is deep in thought.
Anna's hobbies include collecting coins that have been flattened and finding new and interesting way of hiding from people.

~The Reason For The Mouse~

Why a Mouse?
The reason I picked a mouse was because of two reasons.
1. Her height. Some people who are short are called mouse, though there are also those who are tall and called the same thing, I thought her being short would be better for her.
2. In eastern areas there is an animal stereotype of mice being thieving creatures. It is were I got the title of my quest to be 'The Thieving Mouse'.
