From their first encounter with one another and finding love for one another to take root within the souls and hearts, Jaylin merrily trotted alongside the bulky, red and white male as they continued upon the worn deer trail that snaked through the dense forest of pines and firs till they would eventually come to the base of Seer's Cliffside. The jagged and tumultious mountainside was deemed by stories and old legends to be the very place where the first Seer of olden times was bestowed the arts of the Shaman upon him. Although it's been said that the gifts of Shaman and Seers had indeed been withdrawn from the power of wolves for a span of time, it was making a comeback as fresh blood was adding to the ranks of those who were both revered and honorable.
But why here? Why was she required to journey atop to the mountain?
The mountain was no doubt beautiful with it's sacred places of hidden beauty where natural streams flowed, it's lush vegetation always appearing as if it was the dawning of spring once again and- of course, the strange lights that seemed to touch down upon it's peak.
If one's curious eyes were to drift upwards towards the heavens, they would find themselves to witness a marvel of drifting, vibrant colors within the air that seemed to hoover over its peak. Aurora Borealis's were rare but, lately, it seemed as if there was something or, perhaps, someone that was waiting for the young Seer in training. These strange urges, her scatterd, puzzling dreams had kept her restless into trying to decipher what she was required to do and how exactly she was suppose to execute such requirements. Something was calling to her- something was pulling at her, howling to her to come to the mountain.
Come, come Jaylin. Destiny waits for you at Seer's Cliffisde. A voice spoke, it's mysterious tone ringing audibley within her mind as it caused a surge of shivers to race though her body.
Come to the mountain.
Destiny awaits, young one.
Time does not wait, Jaylin!
She couldn't ignore the call. Jaylin had a destiny to find and the urges and the voices were growing stronger within her with each passing moment. Her mind began to hurt, small pains causing her to wince slightly as it seemed to overtake her composure. "Aka," she called out softly, her curly, feathered tail sweeping with a masked irritation, "I can hear them. Voices...voices of the past calling to me. We're close," She nodded, trying to smile as best she could although the pain was discomforting.
And it was true.
Glancing up ahead of them, Jaylin let a relived sigh escape from her maw as she smiled softly. There was less than a mile between the two wovles and the base of the mountain and, it was there, that the destiny of the young Seer was about to commence. It had been a long and tiring trek to come so far but having a companion and a mate to join alongside her could only make the young wolfess smile warmly.
Nuzzling up against him and delicately kissing him upon his maw, Jaylin gazed into his two-toned eyes. "Holding up, love?"

White paws struck the ground, a red and white tail swishing in the air as fur billowed in waves across a large body. He wasn't moving too fast, rather keeping pace with his much smaller mate and swishing his tail to and fro. It was so strange to have been invited to such a place when all he knew was that the wisest minds of a time and a millenia had been up there, paws marking dust, voices reaching up to the moons that would answer only them.
It was definetly strange to think of going there, yet of course he had a valid reason to go as he would be going with Jaylin.
All the same he was nervous. The thoughts of his past and the possibility of wolves coming after them while she was on her quest... it didn't settle well in his belly at all. By his thought sthey should have seperated until she was done her quest; but Aka couldn't bring himself to leave her, couldn't bring himself to let go of her. His white paws had lead him to her and now he refused to let her traipse out of his life even for a few days.
But the thought of all the danger, the thought of all the looming chaos and pain, it kept him occupied, so much so that he had worn himself out trying to keep track of the thigs around them, but he wouldn't ever show HER that. It was bad enough that he was this tired without having to show her he was.
When she stopped for a bit, Akamichi took the time to stretch out his shoulders and do his best to relax. The past few days of running and watching, watching and running they'd begun to take their toll on him. His memories were threatening to overtake his mind and it took everything he had not to let himself drift from the 'now' that he was living in and fall into the past. He wouldn't be able to go on if that happened, wouldn't be able to keep up with her, wouldn't be able to to follow any longer.
A flash of teeth in the back of his mind made him wince and he jerked his head to the side while she wasn't looking, legs shaking lightly as he tried to blink it away. Laughter rang in his brain when it happened and he saw a curving arc of claws and fangs, blood splattering over rocks and dirt. Akamichi's heart started to beat faster and his eyes widened a little.
"Aka."
The word broke through his shattering mind and his two toned eyes swivvled to gaze at his worn looking love. Both of his eyebrows pulled together and Aka took one step over to her, nuzzling his muzzle softly to her shoulders and wagging his tail for her. She was so worn out and stressed looking, these voices that she heard had to be taking an even greater toll on her body and mind than she was showing.
"Well then we'll have to move faster won't we?" Aka whispered softly into her ear, licking her ear and the side of her head gently. "I'll be fine my love, I'm more worried about you. You tell those voices that if they don't let your mind rest I'll have some words for them myself."
Anything that would hurt her, mentally, physically; Akamichi wasn't going to stand for it and have her hurt. If it meant stringing himself out so that he was as thin as paper, he would do it just so that she wouldn't feel pain. ninja

Her brows seemed to furrow slightly as her head tilted at a slight angle. Jaylin wasn't too concerned with her overall well-being as she knew it was something that, in time, would be healed once again after she recognized and awakened the true powers of the Seer within her. As for her mate, his thoughts still contained the chilling and horrific images of his past and those who sought effortlessly to take away his very life. There was too much clutter, too much stress within his mind that had apparently, for so long, corroded and eaten away at his soul. So much pain- so much heartache he had endured, and the last thing the young wolfess would ever want is for him to stress about her. Though she couldn't help but keep a small grin tucked away at the corner of her maw as she gazed at him.
Aka thought he was so sly trying to hide away his thoughts and, perhaps, the realization once again that she was indeed capable of reading his thoughts, letting her own mind seep into his realm of his deepest thoughts and feelings, and becoming fully aware of what was burdening him.
Silly male.
As her mate brushed his muzzle deep into her shoulder, Jaylin rumbled softly as her ears fell against her skull and her fluffy, curly tail swept behind her. Her heart seemed to swell, beating faster as he pulled closer and whispered into her ear while his smooth tactic enabled him to tenderly lick at the side of her head.
"We're both not in the best conditions," she giggled softly, drawing her muzzle close to his maw and kissing him delicately upon his maw. "I think you forget that I can read your thoughts like I can the sky; I can see when the are clear and when they are storming with pains and fears." Letting her maw drift towars the side and nuzzling deep into his ruff, Jaylin glanced up into his two toned eyes with a slight frown upon her face.
"I know you're strong- I can never doubt that. But don't hide your feelings from me and baracade yourself in your fears. I love you and we're a team, we're here to help one another and I'm not letting you take on your fears alone anytime soon. Sure I can know easily what's bothering you and what your worried about, but if you tell me and be honest with me it makes me less guilty having to prowl through your mind and trying to dig it up myself."
She buried her face deep into his thick, burly ruff as the pains surged from her head once again. She clenched her jaws together as her ears fell against her skull while her tail tucked between her legs. It wasn't easy and the pain was testing her- there was something that told her that time was drawing closer and she needed to hurry.
Biting her lower lip as a soft whine escaped from her maw, Jaylin closed her eyes. "We...we need to move faster," she nodded, trying to keep her composure as it felt as if pressure was building within her mind and being seized upon by great blows of force.
Parting from him as she trotted ahead, Jaylin began to pick up the pace into long, lunging strides.
She had to hurry.

When Jaylin spoke, she spoke with the voice of one who knew that he cared and that she cared, but that she didn't care about herself. Or if she did care about herself she didn't care about herself at this exact moment. So in his book that made it his job to worry and care. His job to make sure that she didn't get too overwhelmed with the entire situation that she just passed out or worse.
Yet despite his evident worry for her she still just brushed it aside with her words, telling him that he didn't tell her enough. It was true that he didn't always tell her every pain he had in his mind and in truth he really should have, but neither did she. She could tell him that the voices were hurting him. Sure he couldn't help her at all because he wasn't a seer, but there had to be something he could do. Had to be something that he could say or even just to hold her.
"Jaylin, you might be able to read mine at will, but I can't read you at all. I don't forget so much that I'm just not used to telling others about myself. I haven't talked to anyone in the longest time, haven't told them a thing, except for you." Aka said softly to her in return, wincing from the look of what pain she was in as she buried her face against his neck.
"Please, I know that a seer's life is different, that what they hear and what they see, can be so drastically strange to one such as myself, but when you're in pain it hurts me as well." His eyes pleaded with her silently and he licked against her muzzle once more as gently as he could dare. "I don't want to think that you're in pain, that you're hurting from something and that you can't ask for help. I might not be able to do much... but I'll always be here for you, will always help you the best I can."
Watching with mournful eyes as she shot off towards the base of the mountain faster, Akamichi lifted his head and watched her. She was so strong and had such fire in her personality. She knew what she wanted and how to get it, what was good for her, what was good for everyone.
It was Jaylin that had offered to save him, that had told him straight up that she would save him. So what could he do for her? What in the world was he capable of doing for her that would be better than what she was doing for him?
Shaking his red and white head softly and closing his two toned eyes, Aka let visions of her meld into his mind, of angels and of her smile. They were better than his normal visions; while normally there were visions of death, of blood and of horrid attacks, she brought on visions of angels and safety.
Was it any wonder why he loved her so? Why he would follow her to the end of the earth and back if he had to?
A sigh came from his muzzle and he shot off after her, ready to follow her to the top of that mountain. As long as it helped her and took away this pain it was good. The minute they got there though, he swore he would at least suggest her taking a nap, yeah.... a nap would work. ninja

The spoken words of her mate sunk deep into her mind, rooting deep into her heart as she furrowed her brows and continued to run. Jaylin could never deny that she truly did love Aka but she didn't want to hurt him or leave him oblivious to her pains and sufferings even if they weren't completely shrouded from him. There was so much weight, so much pressure upon her shoulders and it was hard to find a balance between love and finding her destiny- becoming what she is meant to become.
It was true; Akamichi couldn't read her mind and fortell nor quite understand what exactly she was experiencing or thinking but that was something that she wouldn't want Aka to suffer from.
But, in the same way, Aka suffered also from the haunting and tormenting thoughts of his father and his lackeys coming after him- those dreams and darkened thoughts that continously lurked at the back of his mind and stuck his concentration with a voracious bite that secreted the venom of fear, uncertainty and panic.
Jaylin and Aka were struggling both in their own ways but Jaylin wouldn't let her mate be tormented by his fear of death.
She would see to it that she would prevent such a reality from ever becoming tangible.
With paws sweeping wildly and free across the ground, Jaylin’s tongue lolled out of her mouth as a rythem of breaths sounded from her maw, drawing deep from her chest. It didn’t take long for the young adolescent to gain a quicker pace and arrive at the base of Seer’s Cliffside. Slowing down to a trot once again, Jay glanced back and gave a warm smile as she continued to decrease her speed, drifting closer towards the base as the thick pines began to recede from the presence of the great mountain.
"I know, love, I know," she spoke, mildly panting as she turned around only to face him with eyes that were welting with tears while her head hung low. "We both need all the support we can get- let's face it, life right now isn't easy for any of us. But you know what? We can pull through, we can do this Aka. I know we can. I just- I think that if I can figure out this Seer thing and just find out what I need to do then my battle will have been fought and then we can fight our demons."
Her deep cerulean orbs glistened with pure light, shining with hope as her tail waged behind her. "All is not lost we just-"
You have come, Seer.
Her jaw seemed to stall, slacking slightly as her orbs drifted towards the right where toppled rocks laid in a rubbled heap. The fur upon her body seemed to stand on end as her forepaws shook, eyes staring upon a strange figure who stood upon the mound of rocks. The strange presence did not have a tangible body- it was a ghost. Pale and irrodescent as only it's pupils could be defined as an eerie green hue. Certainly Aka must have thought her crazy or known that something of great mysterys was happening but if only he could see what she saw!
"Who-who are you?" She spoke within the confines of her mind, tilting her head slightly and refraining from the aches of her head from stalling her.
The ghost chuckled. Who I am does not matter, it is you who I have come for- it is I who shall lead you to top of Seer's Cliffside, where your destiny will begin. Time is crucial and the route up to the top where the lights touch the earth is not easy, young one. They wait for you.
Glancing up towards the top of the mountain, Jaylin almost seemed stunned and surprised to see that the sun had sunk below the moutains and night was at its dawning. Looming above the moutain and almost appearing as if it was sweeping and brushing across Seer's Cliffisde, the randiant and mysterious lights within the sky manifested their truth and waved about with a gracefulness within the heavens. Her brows knitted together as she looked back towards the ghost.
"-Wait. Who waits for me?"
There is no time to talk, he rushed, leaping down from the rocks and trotting quickly towards the base of the mountain. Breezing towards a small trail that seemed less trodded and riddled with danger, the ghost looked back towards Jaylin and Aka.
Follow me.
With haste, the ghost wolf began to run upon the path, weaving about the trail and climbing up the rocky, stone face that was erroded and carved from the wear of snow and ice. It was the very reason why Seer's Cliffside was given its name- the side of the mountain was a rocky, rugged cliffside that could be climbed although it was treacherous and death seemed likely.
Wide eyed and watching, Jaylin quickly turned towards Aka a bit frantically. "This is gonna sound weird but I'm seeing a ghost and he wants me to follow him up to the top of Seer's Cliffside. We have to follow him, he said 'they are waiting for me'. We gotta run, love!"
Hesistantly smiling and running to quickly lick his cheek, Jaylin pivoted about and wasted no time in sprinting as fast as she could to pursuit the trail of the ghost.

Watching her with careful eyes, Akamichi took in her form once more, from her soulful eyes to her winged back to her curly tail. From her paws to her head. Inside that smaller body there was an incredible amount of iron will, an incredible amount of spirit and it was something that Akamichi admired deeply.
Part of what made him love her in fact.
If he had to walk straight into the jaws of the guardian of hades itself for his mate and take on the three headed dog-beast that barred the doors, Aka would do it all for her. It was strange for the wolf to think that way after so many years of loss, that something so pure would just walk straight into his life fromt he shadows and brighten it up to quite this level.
"Jaylin..." But before he could speak she stopped him and told him what she'd been told herself. His two toned eyes went wide and he watched her run off for a moment, keeping track of her as he stood, unmoving, where they'd just been.
Her swishing tail dissapeared and instantly his white paws struck the ground. He couldn't let her get too far ahead of him, couldn't let himself get lost or her get hurt by anything that might actually be up beyond that bend. But what would it be? He didn't know.
Just something.
As he flew along his fur started to blur, his husky markings suddenly appearing like they didn't dissapear into his white at all. He knew that she could keep up, that the wings on her back stood for something more than just a simple marking. But as he flew along he wasn't sure, even as he passed her he wasn't sure. Maybe he should slow down and wait?
A sheepish grin crossed his white muzzle and he slowed down slightly for his mate, letting her catch up a bit, not quite sure of where this mountain was just yet, though he was sure it was the rather... large... one that he saw looming right in the distance.
Their paws were waisting no time in getting there however, their forms streaking between the trees, dodging and weaving, weaving and dodging. It was almost no time before they were there, Aka's chest heaving as he watched her. Would they take a break at the base of the mountain or would they just scale it?
That was all up to her.
"Jaylin, are you sure we should keep going? Or do you have more in you?" He grinned wryly at her. Of course he knew the answer to that. ninja

Her mind was racing; unable to focuse as the ghostly figure continued to dart up the trail, racing along the bend and suddenly darting towards the right as a steep, narrow and tumultuous trail seemed the be the only route that led towards the flat rockface of the top of the mountain. She gritted her teeth as a small ledge was elevated slightly from the ground to where the path towards the top began. Oh how she wished her wing upon her back could make her fly! That certainly would make her current adventure alot easier.
Frantic on time and unable to stand idle, Jay's ears flickered as she glanced towards her mate and smirked. "More in me? Please! Think of who you're dealin' with, love," she giggled, crouching her body low towards the ground as her muscles became tense.
Narrowing her eyes upwards, the wolfess lunged forwards and up onto the pathway as the image of the ghost continued to scale the path to where the lights touched the rugged face of the cliffsides.
Stumbling to keep a running pace again, Jaylin staggered a few moments but pressed onwards with great strides and a fiery zeal. Her powers seemed to wildly surge within her wolfish veins as voices and sounds became more audible; their tones ringing within her ears as her eyes seemed to stay single towards the top of the mountain where the strange, fluctuating colors that painted the night sky seemed to dance and pull her closer with such strange sensations that were impossible to ignore.
Come, come to the top young Seer.
We have been waiting for you.
Hurry, hurry! Make haste!
The voices were loud, perhaps too loud- but it drove her onwards.
Paws seemed to fly across the surface as her tongue lolled out from her gaping maw. Her serene, cerulean orbs appeared as if they were set ablaze with a glistening appearance as anxiousness and even a hint of fear seemed to convey through her eyes as well as her stomach's uncomfortable sensations as if knots and butterflies were making it hard to breath.
Drawing only a few lengths away from the top, the ghost wolf had already arrived and turned around to stare at her with piercing, green orbs.
Come young one, they cannot wait forever.
Stumbling with hastened steps as she continued until she stopped before him, the young seer panted heavily as her brows furrowed.
"They? Who are they?" She gasped, searching for her breath as she tilted her head at a minute angle.
The ghost wolf chuckled as he shook his head.
You will see.
Slowly, the strange ghost began to fade from her presence and dissapate into nothingness. As he faded away, the lights that loomed within the night sky began to fall upon the flat, mountain surface. It's colors seemed to suddenly morph into rushing waters as it doused upon the mountain and seemed to lather the ground in a strange, foreign fashion.
Jaylin's confusion seemed to suddenly rise as the wolf before her vanished and the lights of the sky began to rain down upon the mountain much like a wild waterfall. She bit her lip as a strange wet sensation seemed to begin to soak her paws- or were they really wet? Glancing down towards her paws, the young wolfess found them to be submerged in what was now water- staring deep into her own reflection.
This certainly was something out of the ordinary.
As the water began to cease, another figured appeared within the center of the water. It was another wolf and, this time, unlike the ghost it's appearance was restored and distinguished although it's body still was vaugely irrodescent.
You have come Jaylin. The wolf spoke, a tender and kind tone within his voice that was audible for both Jaylin and her mate, Aka, to hear.

A laugh came from Akamichi's white muzzle, of course. How could he be so silly as to believe that there wasn't more spirit, more stamina, more endurance in that small body? She probably had more than even he had.
His white paws struck stone as he climbed up the mountain path after her, his fur billowing out behind him like a flag as he ran, two toned eyes focused sharply on the ground before him. He didn't really like mountains, but then this was where he was. Aka just prayed to all above that he didn't stumble and fall off as they rounded a corner or something. The only thing he coul do was trust that his reflexes were fast enough.
"Exactly how far do we have to go up love?" Aka asked just seconds before she stopped in her tracks on him.
His paws skidded over the rock and he landed in a heap against the wall by Jaylin's side. His eyes crossed in shock and some pain but the wolf picked himself back up instantly and ruffled his fur. It wasn't aggitation, it was sheer shock at the fact that his mate had stopped so fast from how they'd just been running.
"I suppose that's over then yes?" He let a sheepish laugh come from his muzzle and bumped his nose against her shoulder. "What...?"
Water lapped at his paws suddenly, making him look down. He hadn't even noticed it rain, hadn't even noticed them walk into water.
Or had the...?
A voice caught Akamichi's ears, a voice that seemed to resonate through the air as if it were truely there. Standing beside him was only his mate, so Aka's eyes flashed around and his hackles stood instantly. It knew his mate's name and he couldn't see it.
How could a disembodied voice be good exactly? ninja

The words of her mate were audible but her tongue felt as if it was stifled and uable to utter any words for her mind and pool of cerulean blue were narrowed upon the ghostly wolf. Eeerie sensations seemed to surge through her veins and down her spine as the strange waters lapped against her paws.
What was this?
Slowly wading through the water, Jaylin drew closer towards the wolf. "Who- who are you? And how do you know me?" She softly spoke, her ears falling slightly against her skull as her curly tail hesitantly swayed behind her.
The ghost wolf stood in a regal stance upon all fours; his tail arched high as his warm, ocher eyes with their almond shape seemed to settle upon her as well as the wolf that stood behind her. His fur was like that of fresh fallen snow yet there were tarnishes of natural, earthy browns that also inhabited his fur. He smiled, making his appearance known also to the other wolf and took a step forwards.
My name is Malachi. I am a Seer, just like you are to become tonight. And these, he inquired as his head looked about the slightly elevated stones that encircled the mountain top, are those who have walked upon the same path that you will begin this night.
If one was to look upon the rocks, they would find themselves puzzled and confused for there was no one else that was around aside from the two wolves and the ghost before them.
But all of that was about to change.
A sudden explosion of colors and howls broke forth from the heavens as the aurora borialis waved within the skies and began to swirl around the mountain, encircling the top of Seer's Cliffside with brilliant colors and lights. It seemed almost too surreal and something out of an indescribable dream- something that storytellers and wolves of old would have passed down from generations to generations. Within the lights of the sky, howls of wolves solaced in a chorus that could leave ones senses numb and petrified in a way that seemed as if ones very blood would run cold. The images of wolves began to manifested themselves within the lights as those who have passed on, much like Malachi, began to appear in an irrodescent manner but slowly restore themselves to their true appearance although their ghostly nature still showed through. One by one, each wolf took its place upon the leveled rocks until each spot was filled and the witnesses had arrived. The brilliance of the lights reverted back into the sky and waved within the air with the same mystery just as before.
These, Malachi addressed as his eyes met those of the wolves that encircled them, are Seers of the past. Each wolf who sits here, who has traveled up here has endured the road and tumultuous journey to become a Seer although there are may other wolves who have endured other roads to becoming Seers elsewhere. The wolves before you have all stood here and have received their true destiny here. And you, Jaylin, will recieve the same initiation now.
Come forward, Jaylin.
The young wolfess stepped forwards, standing before Malachi while her curly tail seemed to fall behind her. Her forepaws trembled slightly as she could feel her powers flowing wildly within her veins- coursing uncontrollabley as the wolf before her closed his eyes and began to speak.
"Come with me, I'll take you there To a place where you'll see Everything you need to be the one you need to be And all of those things that you feared Will disappear from you in time
Everything will become clear to you When you see things through another's eyes Everything will become clear to you Whatever's meant for you, you will find"
Malachi suddenly howled- the wolves who had passed on joined in his song, as the great spirits of the land began to cause the lights to stream out and encircle the great mountain once again. But this time the images of all different creatures ran wild within the lights and followed its trail. Deer, moose, foxes, eagles, salmon, bears, cougars and lynx- animals that called these lands 'home' made their appearance as they sounded their own growls, moans and shrieks alongside the wolves and the countless other mammals that danced within the spectacle of the lights above.
Jaylin's eyes grew wide and she even crouched low as the spirit creatures passed by her, ducking her head low as a bear swatted at her but only to realize that it was a spirit whose body was no longer tangible. Perking her head upwards at the wonders that the heavens conveyed, the sudden lights fron above began to settle upon her.
The fur upon her body prickled as it stood on end, her mind whirling with scattered images and visions of great creatures, of her own past and the future. Her blood seemed to boil at times or, sometimes, it ran cold for several moments at the things she saw. Tears streamed from her face while a warm smile seemed to cross upon it.
So many emotions- it seemed all but confusing but what she saw was something she would not disclose to others.
The young wolfess's ears were drowned with the howls of wolves and the other creatures that surrounded her. Her cerulean orbs suddenly lost their pupils and became submerged in a sea of blue. New sensations like never before began intensifying and surfacing from the depths of her entire being. She could feel it- her powers gaining their newfound strength. She embraced them; for once she was feeling moreso complete than hallow and she could feel her mind opening and becoming keen and alert.
As the lights above withdrew from upon her, Malachi smiled warmly and nodded his head.
You have become what you were destined to be; You are a Seer, Jaylin.
With a final chours of howls, the water about them reverted back into the lights of the sky. As the spirit of the animals and wolves rejoined the lights and trailed back to its source, Malachi nodded and ran towards the elevated ledge, jumpin into the aurora borialis. The spirits faded away and the lights of the sky dissapeared into nothingness.
The night was left quiet.
Exhaustion and fatigue left Jaylin staggering in her steps. Everything that had happened felt as if it was a blurr and, suddenly, the wolfess toppled over onto her side.

Watching her every move, Akamichi could hear the words of the other for a few moments but they dissapeared from his ears after a time. All that he could go off of were his mate's reactions and they weren't only strong but they were frightening as well. What was this the voice was doing to her that would inspire such expressions and reactions to come from her?
Of course he wouldn't be able to do a thing if it were all in her head, but all the same, the large husky marked male inched towards her with fear in his two toned eyes. An aurora boralis was the only thing that distracted him from going the whole way to her side when she started to cry.
He had never been good with bright bright lights, so the shock to his eyes was evident, but the male narrowed them and put his shoulder beside hers. It wasn't exactly the best of all things, but he did know that it was the best that he could do for her right now.
That is until she collapsed.
"JAY!" His ears shot forward and he dropped to the ground beside her. Nonononono! This wasn't happening, this wasn't how it was supposed to be!
"Jay, Jaylin are you okay? Please say something...." Aka whimpered, his tail tucked between his legs and his ears down to each side of his head. His mate had fallen just like his mother had died... no.
There was no way, this couldn't be happening, he wouldn't LET it happen. Right when he had finally found someone... right when he had finally felt love again for the first time in years... no. If he had to take her place, if he had to do everything within his power he wouldn't let something happen to the one being he loved more than his own life. ninja

The overwhelming voices that had so often plauged her mind had fled. Intense pain, the pounding headaches and the sensitivity of her ears and ability to percieve any sounds had once been delicate seemed, for once, at peace. A suttle, tranquil sensations seemed to wash over her although she still layed motionless, sprawled upon the ground.
As Aka called out to her, pleading and hoping that she hadn't had passed away, Jaylin's ears flickered as a small moan sounded from her maw.
"Aka...."
Her eyes squinted, flickering open slightly as she tried to lift her head up but there was little strength she could find to conjure. The young Seer tried to whine; her body was free from pain yet she couldn't get up and the difficulty to stagger up to her paws was beyond any attempt and realization. Why was this happening? How come she was condemned to lie upon the ground?
She wanted to get up!
Arise, Seer, a calm, soothing voice spoke into her mind. The gift which has been bestowed upon you and given to you by those who have past on is now complete. Your quest is done but your journey has only begun.
Cerluean orbs slowly drew open as the Seer shifted slightly, forepaws sliding upon the rocky surface as she staggered upwards onto her stomach. Perking her ears forwards as her tail thumped gently behind her, Jaylin blinked several times, shook her head, and glanced upwards towards her husky marked mate.
"Aka," she softly spoke, pawing at his foreleg as she managed to conjure a soft rumble-whine within her throat.
