The Childhood Years.
Rubert was born into a poor family on the outskirts of Ontario. He lived with his mother and two brothers. As he went through school, he was consistently bullied by many of the students. When this happened he usually tried burying his face into books to striffle his sorrow. Most of the books he did read were either about plants or detective stories. When he finally graduated high school, he had gotten out a student loan and went on to college.
The College Days
College was no more pleasurable for Rubert than his grade school days were. While the bulling stopped, the extra homework load made him struggle through his classes and basically close off any chance of a social life. As he progressed, his fascination with plants only grew, and his peers started to call him "mr green" which utterly annoyed him. When he finally graduated with his Doctorate, he could find no jobs since its cold most of the time and all the open jobs he knew of were in the states and already being up to his eye's in debt, could not afford to move...
