I'm a girl, and I have a crush on a girl. I know that the bible says homosexuality is wrong, but is having a crush on her wrong, or would it only be wrong if I were to persue her? You can't help who you're attracted to. I know that now because I definately don't want tobe attracted to her. Am I sinning when it's not a feeling I can control?

no, dont worry about it!! i talked to my pastor last night at church about this! i am going through the same thing!! he said that yes its a sin and no god will love you no less!!!!! a couple of phrases pop into mind
1) "once saved, always saved"
2) "better loved than lost"

this guy once came to speak at my school, when he was younger, he thought he was gay, but it turned out he wasn't. Maybe it's really strong admiration or something? i'm just suggesting, but in my opinion it shouldn't be wrong, it's something natural.

Whoa whoa on the 'once saved, always saved' deal. That's not in my Bible. Man said that, not God. God doesn't care if you've prayed the "sinner's prayer," He wants to see if you meant it.
Back to the subject, the sin is not that you have a crush on this other girl, the sin is that you're focus isn't on God and you're leaving Him out of it. I'm not blaming you, but do you know how bad that makes him feel? Yes, it is very possible to hurt God's heart, he just takes it. His spirit envies this other girl so intensely (James 4:5), and he wishes you were attracted to him like that. So yeah I guess my point is it doesn't really make sense to God that you are attracted to this girl, and not him, when he can offer anything she can and much much much more. That's the only sin he's upset about.

^-^ The bible doesn't say homosexuality is wrong, neither does it say that having gay sex is wrong, as long as you do it within the confines of marriage.
So, if you have a crush on a girl, all I'm going to say is to make sure she's lesbian before chasing her. And you can PM me for more information on the biblical aspect; that goes for everyone else in the guild too.

I don't know if you're really bi. This "crush" you feel for another girl may not even really exist. I'm a girl IRL and I have a girl as a best friend. I love and admire here, but it's purely a friendship love. Think about how Jesus and the 12 disciples loved each other. You may admire this girl, or love her in a non-sexual way. Then, you aren't bi at all and you're "loving your neighbor." If you are lusting after this girl or her body, THEN it's a sin.

In Romans Paul states that "Men and women turn away from what is natural and lust after one another" in I believe chapter 2 (forgive me, I can never remember the exact chapter). And in Genesis God destroys the city of Sodom because of the men's homosexuality.

Remember to use original languages, cite scriptures, and link us to any sources for your arguments. ^-^ Also, cite me the verse where "God is sickened by homosexuals".
