Are there any serious death note role players here stare it seems no one likes to actually keep the characters in character and enjoys just goofing off and shaming the characters to death. I'm not bashing, because those rp's can be fun, I'm just looking for at least a semi serious group of rpers who won't go off and make the damn characters OOC
Anyway if I can get enough serious rpers I will start a death note rp. Only I will probably want to play L, unless someone else is better at playing him.
Or perhaps I might start a death note group fic, or even a original character rp.. Here’s a place to put your ideas and opinions

I'm normally a very serious roleplayer, but I just make a fool of the characters I roleplay when I feel like it. I'm an okay Misa, but I tend to over-dramatise or whatever. I would probably join a serious DN roleplay as either Misa or Raito, so if you start one, try and reserve one of those two for me. ^_^

I know what you mean. That's the reason I left the RP I was in... To me, the fun of Death Note was the psychological battles, not the quirks of the characters' personalities. If you do plan to make a serious RP, I'd be all for joining. Any character would be fine, though I think it'd be fun to play Light or L.
...Just so long as it doesn't break down to LxLight relationships and Mello killing people over chocolate.

I'm usually in non-serious roleplays because I hae more fun doing it, but I have been in serious roleplays. They're just not as fun for me, although I never really roleplayed Death Note seriously before. I'm not good at being main MAIN characters though (for instance, Light and L) because I'm always afraid I'll screw up. sweatdrop The fear of screwing up in a roleplay is why I prefer random ones where it won't matter.

I've never roleplayed... ever. But if I were to start, I'd rather be in a serious one. I've seen the other non-serious RP threads here and it seems to lack direction, which irks me, not to mention the OOCness. If a serious one starts, I'd like to play Mello, or Matt, or Ryuk... <3

I'de like to join in as Either Light or Near, SINCE L is taken, I can't be him... So what do you guys say?
