 It was a clear night at the clearing, stars twinkling softly over head in the deep blue sky. A cresent moon glimmered as well, its reflection shining off the surface of a small stream nearby. It was here that the priest, Abel Nightroad, decided to roam to. He sighed softly, enjoying the serene enviroment around him. His red eyes glanced up to the moon, smiling softly as his wings fluttered lightly. This was a night to share with someone. He thought, walking a bit further into the clearing.

 Auriga walked on, aimlessly as always. She enjoyed going to walks under the stars, feeling more at home under them than she did in any one place. Tonight, she had chosen to follow a small, clear stream she had happened upon near her favourite meadow. He followed the moon's reflection, watching it dance over the water. She smiled slightly and broke into a trot, not knowing where she was headed, but not minding either...

The tall stallion stopped when he came to the stream. Peering into the clear liquid, he could see the faint movement of small fish, flitting about. He smiled warmly as his eyes seemed to lock on the sparkle and reflection of the celestial bodies above. That was broken when he heard something approaching, ears flicking before one turned to face the direction the noise was coming from. He soon turned his head to face the direction as well, curious on what was heading his way.

Auriga carried on along the stream, her silver eyes fixed on the reflection in the water. It was so calm tonight, and peaceful and... "ACK!"
Auriga let out a surprised cry when suddenly, the reflection os a Soquili joined that of the moon. She stopped dead, skidding a little, her back hoof sliding into the stream, which made her squeal again at the bitter cold. Mumbling at her clumsiness, she pulled her hoof out and attempted to shake it dry.
"I'm sorry! I didn't see you there..."

As the figure got closer, the priest noticed that it was a dark mare, in which he smiled. It was when he noticed her not looking where she was going, nor slowing down when that same smile faded a bit.
Abel jumped back slightly when the mare cried out and stopped, skidding some before coming to a complete halt, hoof in the water. When she pulled her hoof out, he took a cautious step forward and glanced to her worriedly.
"Are you alright?"

Auriga smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm fine... thank you..."
She took a moment to look at the stallion in front of her. He certainly was unique, and even wore clothes like the humans she had seen. She tilted her head slightly. "I didn't expct to run into anyone way out here... My name is Auriga." She smiled and boxed slightly in greeting.

Abel's worried look faded slowly when she had said she was fine and nodded. "Ah, that's very good to hear. I was worried you might have injured yourself."
Briefly, his red eyes took in the sight of the mare, having noticed that she too was taking the time to do the same. His wings fluttered idley as he smiled warmly at her. "I'm sorry if I surprised you. I tend to like roaming and came across this lovely place," he told her before adding, "it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Auriga. I am Father Abel Nightroad."

Auriga giggled a little in spite of herself. "Oh, I'm not hurt... a cold hoof maybe, but that's all..."
She smiled broadly. "The pleasure is all mine, Abel... I too am a wanderer of the night, so to speak..." Auriga cast a look skyward, admiring the stars that her coat mimicked.

"Well... I'm sure that will fix itself soon enough." He told her with a warm smile.
He shifted just a bit, looking off in the distance where he saw fireflies flutter about and flare off their lights. He then looked back to her, then up to the night sky. "Nothing wrong with that... though one must be more careful at night than during the day."

Auriga nodded slightly. "True... but I have been lucky so far. And I feel more comfortable at night..." She followed Abel's gaze and smiled as she saw the fireflies. "Everything is so much more beautiful at night.... the stars, the glow the moon gives everything...."
Auriga padded over to the fireflies and nudged one gently with her nose, lighting her face up for a moment as it landed on her for a second before flying off again.

Stretching his wings out, Abel let out a soft nicker, before looking back to her. "It is indeed, but don't let yourself get too comfortable with the darkness that your eyes become blind to what's around you." He told her concerningly.
His red eyes watched as she padded off, taking note that she had too spotted the fireflies. He let out a soft chuckle as she nosed one of them, her face glowing as if lit by a lanturn by the small insect before it flew off, watching as it did so.

Auriga smiled and lifted her head, looking back at Abel. "I won't lose my way...."
Auriga liked him. He was a lot deeper than the other soquili she had met. She walked back over to him slowly, some fireflies lazily floating around her as she did.

"I'm glad to hear that, I hope you don't." He replied nodding his head softly. He lowered his head to the stream for a brief moment, taking a quick drink of the cool refreshing liquid before looking back up, muzzle dripping just slightly. As he did so, he watched her return to him, fireflies flying around her.
"It seems the fireflies like you, they're following you."

Auriga smiled slightly and looked at the little balls of light that danced around her. "Maybe the pattern on my back is attracting them!" She giggled slightly as she looked back at abel. "So.. where was your next destination on your nightwalk, Abel..?"

"That could be quite possible. Your coat is quite lovely, if I may say so." He told her with a polite bow of his head and warm smile on his muzzle. At her question, he looked up in thought before shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I'm not really sure... is there any certain location you would like to recommend?"
