We will soon be starting contests in the guild.
Often the prize will be the monthly collectable. (Note that the collectable money comes out of my pocket, so gold donations are loved and will be kept on this page.)
If you have any ideas, please state them here with a prize you think would work for that certain contest.
I am willing to also get art done from a few of my pretty dang talented friends as additional prizes. If anyone wants to help run them, or simply donate, then please do so, but in no way is it mandatory.
Our first contest will be starting soon, but will only be announced when it starts.
Donators: -Autruna(Donation Letters: Nov. '06, Dec. '06, Jan. '07, Feb. '07; Gold: 7k) eek heart heart heart -Celestial Burden(6k!) heart heart

I would love to help run them and also to help provide prizes, especially Monthly Collectible letters, so you don't have to buy all of them. heart And I will also donate a bit of gold... it goes to you right?
Prompted writing contests are always fun. I like ones with five (or more or less) completely random words and seeing a short story written from that.

I think a strangest pairing fanfic contest would be interesting personally. I'd really like to see what people can come up with!

That would be interesting, so long as they keep it within Gaia's limits. 0.0; Off pairings in fanfictions that I find tend to be very... dirty... >.<;;

Any help is loved. 3nodding Yep; everything goes to me. ^^
Those are both very interesting ideas~ -nodnod-
I'm wondering how we would work with the Fanfictions(pairings). I could possibly have them sent to my email, I'll open an account on something like...Livejournal or Fanfiction.net and put them there, just in case. (All Mods would have the username/password)
I also love prompted writing. We could have it prompted writing/drawing for people who have talent in one or the other....
Do those sound alright?

Yes, there should be an art contest. 3nodding
Even though I have no place to stand in that one. xP
I just lurve twilight art.
We should have different categories of fanfic contests..like the entirely off the wall kind and the really dramatic serious kind. Ive read both and enjoy all, from the dramatic kind to the snowball fights and toast attacks. ((yesh, those are my favorites))

Toast attacks? 0.0 Fun! Would it be fair to use the toaster as a weapon? mrgreen
I would participate in or judge the fanfiction contests. Art... I have a lot less experience in. I read and write all the time... razz

Yeah! I wont spoil the story or anything, but Bella throws a piece of toast at Edward and no one will let him forget it. razz
Im good at art, but I dont go near Twilight fanart, I mean, attempting it, because I never could make any of the cullens perfect enough for any of our visions. 3nodding

It'd be nice to try though. An attempt at perfection...Although, nobody's ever happy with their own work, no matter how good they can make it. Although I suppose with the Cullens, you'd have to be really sure of yourself before you attempted it, or else you'd get so frustrated..Perfection is never easy to aim for. Enough of my rambling..
I like the idea of five random words. Maybe, you could try a few characters, picked randomly, and a quote or something, and then let people run wild with their imaginations, with the only restriction being those characters and that quote had to be central to the story. It'd be interesting to see the ways something like that can be interpreted.

It reminds me of the whose line skit, where they pull the pre-written lines out of their pockets and have to use them between each other. Its so funny!

We did horribly at the competition, no thanks to my teammates...I know it sounds low to blame teammates...but trust me on that.

We've never gone to a competition. There is only one other Improv team in the district. We did get to practice with a professional team. Our coach is a member of that team and he is head of the Phoenix Improv Festival. He gave away tickets this year in his Drama Club. DX *couldn't win them, becaue she's an alumni*
