Elina was sitting on the outskirts of Barton, all bundled up. The weather hadn't cleared yet, and it was still cold. Too cold for the girl's liking. But it was better than being cooped up in her home for days on end. While she was a bit of a home-body, she didn't like being bored out of her mind.
So sitting out alone, she read one of her numerous books she hadn't read for awhile. It was like becoming reunited with an old friend, one she couldn't let go of. As she read, she had her wand sitting in her lap. She fingered it and glanced down at it. It'd been awhile since she'd received it... Granted she hadn't interacted with many other wand-holders, but she'd been busy; just like the other people.

"I'M HARRY POTTAAH!" "Chrissy, cut it out," William said tiredly, and a little boredly. He knew she wouldn't stop anyway, "You should really stop waving it around like that. The little blond girl cackled and pointed it at a random person, namely Elina, "AVADA KADABRA!" Billy sighed and took the odd, permanately damp wand from her, "Enough." "Gawd, Pops, you're boring..." William sighed and let her hand slip out of his, looking down at the wand with a frown on his face. He was going to keep it out of her reach from now on... "C'mon, Chrissy, let's go get some...Christine?" he blinked and looked around to see her strutting over to the woman she'd pointed the wand at before.

She let out a squeak at the sudden noise, not expecting anyone to be as crazy as her out in the cold weather. Elina tightened her grip on the book and even held onto her wand, but she couldn't help but laugh at the girl who'd 'cursed' her. Looking up at her, the girl named Christine, Elina grinned. "I'd say 'hi', but I think I'm supposed to be dead now."

"Nah, it's ok, you can be alive. Dad's being a butt," Christine said, pulling a face, and pulling herself up to sit next to Elina, "What'cha readin'?" Billy sighed, rolled his eyes, and moved over, shaking his head slowly, and holding the wand protectively, but tapping it lightly against his palm, "Sorry...she's friendly," he said in his Aussie accent, clearing his throat lightly. He hated how out of place he sounded here.

Elina grinned and replied, "Ah, I see. Well that's what they do best!" At the question, she showed the book to Christine, "Just an old series I started up again; I'll probably finish it soon."
She looked up at the man and chuckled, "Oh it's no problem. Wish I could be as friendly as she is!" Of course, friendly hardly described the girl, she was very outgoing, something Elina never was.

"What's it about? Wizards? Elves? Unicorns?" Christine asked excitedly, peering at the book curiously and kicking her feet. Billy stopped in front of Erina, "Friendly is one word for it," he said, chuckling, then offering a hand, "My names William."

"A little of both," Elina replied with a chuckle. "Traitorous people, internal wars and the like. Wonderful series."
She took William's offered hand and shook it, "Pleasure to meet you William. I'm Elina. And I'm guessing she's Christine?"

Billy smiled and nodded, "Yup, that's my spawn." Christine grinned and stuck her tongue out, then settled back, "I like the name Elina."

Again, she laughed. "Well thank you, I rather like it myself too. What are you two doing out here? It's rather cold, isn't it?" Of course, they could ask the same for her. She hated the cold, yet was outside.

"SOMEBODY demanded sherbert icecream." Surprisingly, this came from Christine, and not William, who shuffled his feet and rubbed the back of his neck, "Not my fault the car wouldn't start..." Christine shook her head and 'tsk'ed, then blinked, "Hey, you have a wand too!"

"Oh I see. Well then I guess he loves ice cream; because ice cream lovers don't care how cold it is, they'll eat ice cream anyway," Elina said with agrin as she glanced up at William.
But at the exclamation about her having a wand, Elina blinked in surprise. "Yeah, I do. Wow, your's looks so different than mine!"

"Our's is kinda sticky..." Christine said, looking at it, where William was still holding it, and he looked down at it too. "Your's is cleaner too," he said, chuckling.

Again, Elina giggled. "Ah well, it happens!" she said, her eyes dancing as she looked at their wand. "Nothing a good wipe-down can't handle."

"That's the odd thing, I clean it daily, and every morning it's like this again." He shook his head, "I gave up. Your's is very nice though."

"Hm, that is weird," she murmured, eyeing their wand a bit more. "Maybe it's just the spirit inside that keeps doing that," she suggested with a shrug. "Thanks, it does stay awfully clean. But I try to take care of it as best I can."
