The odd, travelling pair had made it to the sea. It was more than Chuakari could have imagine it being, having had most of her experiences with water near the same little water hole. Even Uri's description had not done the great open sea justice. The cheetah had come to realize it was the smell of the sea that she found unsettling, but they longer they spent there the more she got used to it, and the sound of the waves. Not only that, but she soon realized why the smell was getting to her so much. She had a fair sized bump in her belly to explain it all away, and now it was getting too onerous to keep such a thing from Hasidi.
Kari was resting happily on a large, flat rock at the edge of the beach- near where the land faded back into the grass. She was comfortable, but it was obvious the way she was laying that her stomach at grown a bit. Though relaxed, the cheetah was on the lookout for Hasidi's return.

The red panda lion was thoroughly enjoying their visit to the vast waters, his paws settled into the warm sand with each step he made, less strain on his harmed leg, and the world around him seemed to be brighter and more vibrant. Yes, most of it was a mental place, he had set his mind to coming to the sea with his love, and they had made it.
Hasidi was trecking his way back from quite a few yards away, he had found a place where the tide left a small pool, not being an all together great hunter, he had caugth a few small fish and eaten them, and now was bringing two of the larger fish back to Kari. His hunting skills had gotten him completely drenched in the salty water and sand clung to his paws and legs.
He was not too far off from the rock she lounged on and his eyes shifted absently over her form, she was getting a bit larger..but that was of course due to the fact he had been feeding her so well!

Kari could see Hasidi approaching with some fish, and smiled inwardly. She knew he was getting better at hunting, and defintely was dedicated to keeping her well fed-- and right now she knew that was a good thing. What she wasn't so sure about was how much more of the strange tasting fish she wanted to eat.
"Hasidi," she called out brightly, greeting him and indicating at the same time that was looking for him. It was plain as day in his dark fur that he'd been out in the water and sand, not just the sight of the fish, "Been playing in the sand again?"

He would have answered if he wasn't holding the fish in his mouth so instead he gave her a playful smug look and continued to cover the short distance between them. Dropping the fish down gently infront of her, "Hey! I wasn't playing," he huffed indignantly, "I was getting food for you, my dear."
He placed two paws against the rock and leaned forward giving her a fishy lick, 'hello.'

"So you were being totally serious and having no fun what-so-ever?" she asked with a small laugh, giving him a nudge in return for the fishy greeting. Kari looked to the fish he'd placed before her, and then back to him with a proud smile, "You did very well, fishing isn't very easy."
She stretched out her legs, and then curled her feet beneath her carefully.
"Hasidi, I have to talk to you about something," she said brightly, nodding for him to come up onto the rock and sit with her instead of just standing down there.

"No fun at all, strictly buisness," he smirked and winked. But his mind turned to concern as she said she had something to talk about, is she ill? Is the sea air making her uncomfortable? Oh..what could it be? Did she want to leave me?
Climbing up awkwardly he settled himself down beside her, it was a good thing that the two of them were realitively smallf or their breeds or he might not have enough room to lay beside her, "Is everything.." he gulped pausing, "alright?"

Kari could see the concern when she told him they needed to talk, could almost imagine everything that went through him mind. It was a very vague statement, and she should have been a bit more clear. She, personally, was pleased- a bit worried, but pleased- and she knew it was what Hasidi wanted. She only hoped it was what he wanted now.
"That depends," she said airily, still rather cheerful. The small cheetah was having a bit of fun with this, "You remembe the conversation we had when we first left to come here?"

"About wanting to see the sea, we are hear, are we not.. or when we..muh-made love..?" The firey blush and lust ran into his face thinking about the actions that they had done that day, the crimson color darkened his cream colored cheeks.
"We spoke of children..didn't we?" his eyes widdened and his eyes shot down to Chuakari's abdomen, "what..what have you got to s-say.?"

Kari giggled as Hasidi blushed, and then smiled as he quite evidentally figured it out by staring down at her slightly bulging belly. Or he was taking a good guess at it.
"Hasidi, we're going to have cubs," she said very carefully and clearly, and then beamed proudly. She was certain that Hasidi would not be unhappy, he'd said this was what he wanted and she had no reason to doubt it. Otherwise.. why would she be pregnant now?

He stared blankly at her for a few moments and then a great smile spread across his face, he was undoubtably happy. "You cannot be serious..now..? Oh goodness! I just!" He felt like crying and smiling and everything inbetween (Not unlike a certain pridelander father who was just given a cub..>.>).
"I am so..wow!" he leaned forward again and licked her, pressing his warm, sandy body against hers.

Kari now took a moment to relax, not realizing just how tense she'd been. A lot of it had been her trying to convince herself, she was used to only doing what she thought would make others happy and if he'd been upset about this it wasn't like she could take it back. She couldn't claim to be kidding, it was obvious now. She nuzzled into Hasidi's sandy fur happily, and there she stayed for a moment.
"Yes, your going to have those cubs you wanted soon," she beamed, "So you better start working on your cubtales."

"I've got quite a few, perhaps they'll enjoy me telling them bed time stories?" his head filled with all the things he wanted for his children. He wanted them to have the childhood he never had, a mom and a dad, which they had, but also he wanted them to be a happy big family.
"I want there to be at least two of you in there," he shifted and pressed his nose to the bump, "and I want to see a little boy..or girl.." he looked back hesitantly at Kari.

"I'm sure they will," she laughed at Hasidi, knowing that these cubs would have no better a father. When he moved to start a conversation with the little ones, Kari helped out by rolling back a bit. She smiled at Hasidi as he tried to make an order. It was a bit too early for her to tell for sure, but she too hoped there was more than one little one hiding away inside her. She did not interupt Hasidi's conversation, and only gave him an encouraging smile when he looked up to her.
"We need to talk about something else," she said suddenly, just remembering so herself.

"Now that I know it's nothing horrible, we can talk about what ever you want," he beamed excitedly. He would be talking to them in the womb the whole way through, in hopes they recognize his voice when they come. He poked his nose gently to the bump again and then turned his full atention to Kari.

Kari was very pleased with Hasidi's reaction to the cubs, and took great pleasure in his chit-chat with the little ones and nudges. He really cared, and would be a wonderful father, and that was what mattered most.
"Do we want them to be born by the sea?" she asked curiously, almost afraid to even suggest leaving now. They'd travelled so far and it seemed terrible to cut it short but Kari knew she'd feel safer in more familiar land, with more familiar creatures and dangers that would not be as unpredictable as they might be here. She would never say so unless Hasidi said something first, if he wanted them all to stay here, she would trust that he could handle whatever came there way and that was that.
