TWG DISCUSSION THREAD Well, I realise that our first inception of TWG was heavily, heavily flawed. There is only one role for the townies that can help them find the wolves -- if that role dies or is inactive, they lose the game. Which sucks. Also, the Invinci-townie can just go ahead and announce who he is, which also sucks. I'm suggesting we have a TWG#2, except that we fix the problems we have in the first one. People can suggest new rules and roles in this thread. The current roles can be found in this thread. Please be aware that suggesting a rule/role in this thread might be clues as to role you are ingame. RULES UNDER CONSIDERATION- The seer role passes randomly between townies (Suggested by Zen) - Werewolf Hunter has a 33% chance of becoming a Berserker Wolf (see ROLES) if he kills 2 nights in a row. (Suggested by Gonbe) - All players get to know the roles of the killed. (Suggested by various) - Instead of choosing to kill a townie, the wolves can scry the role of one player. (Suggested by Gonbe) - The invinci-townie can be killed, but it takes three nights. (2 more nights after the first one) ROLES UNDER CONSIDERATIONInsane seer: Scries the opposite of what the true class is, but can only see either "townie" or "wolf". (Suggested by Gonbe) Berserker wolf: Can kill the invinci-townie. Also kills one player every night. However, only wins if he is the only player remaining. (Suggested by Gonbe) Necromancer: Receives the roles of the killed every night. (Suggested by Gonbe) Shaman: Can somehow communicate with the dead. (Suggested by Gonbe) Poisonous Townie: Kills one wolf if he is killed by them. (Suggested by Masamune) Bitten: A sort of half-wolf that can affect the kills of the wolves. More detailed needed. (Suggested by Betman) Spy: Has no voting powers, but works to aid the wolves. (Suggested by sis) Town Doctor/Guard: Every night, the doctot can choose to protect a certain person. If this chosen person is attacked by the wolves during the night, he or she will not die. (Suggested by sis) Lawyer: Has a secret extra vote? Ionno. I'm not sure if this is good for the townies or not. (Suggested by sis)

Gonbe If you are a wolf, you win by having more wolves than towThere will be a Game Master that sends all the PMs and knows all the player roles, but he will not participate in the game. However, during that the day, the wolves communicate in secret, via PM or other messaging tools, and then send a PM to the Game Master telling him who they want to kill. The next day, that person will be killed and removed from the game. PMs are down...sucks, right?

Awesome, I'd want to do it if we get a bunch of people to as well. It sounds fun, kinda like an RP?

It isn't down too often, fortunately.

Like the title says, this is only an interest thread to see how many people want to play. It's a pretty long-term game, so it lasts quite a long time. Each day lasts 24 hours, and the more people join, the longer the game is.

So basically we can just talk to each other in here?
But, the Townies don't know who each other are, or who the Wolves are?

Lifeless-Fox So basically we can just talk to each other in here?
But, the Townies don't know who each other are, or who the Wolves are? I'll make a new thread, so yeah, they'll talk there. And right, the townies don't know who ANYBODY is except for themselves.

Okay. So you just talk, and think you know, and how do Townies kill wolves? And can wolves kill each other? Yep. It says up there -- every day, all players (wolves included, but you don't know that they're wolves, of course) will vote one player to remove from the game. That's how you get rid of wolves. And the talking is somewhat more complex than you make it out to be -- I wanted you guys to work it out for yourselves, but for example, if a townie highly suspects another townie, then ends up dead the next day, then most of the suspicion then falls on the townie he was accusing, except you don't know if the wolves are trying to confuse you by doing that, etc. etc.

You're getting the drift. I'm going to put LF's quote on the first post because it sums up the whole game pretty well.
