Tilting her head with curiosity, Akumu poked the green creature before her. She had never seen a turtle before and wanted to know more about it. Giving her ear a twitch as the turtle retreited into his shell she began spinning it around in it's place, trying to get it to come back out.

Nova trotted along a river, watching the silver gleams of fish go by. They were bright enough to be distracting, but she didn't look away. The flashes seem to mezmorize her as she walked along without looking where she was going.
Nova didn't notice the Udulcan in front of her, and tripped over a turtle shell. She almost fell into the water, but manage to scramble back to her feet in time.
"Omigosh! I'm sorry!" She yelped at the turtle. "I didn't mean to trip over you!" Nova glanced at the Udulcan and nodded her head in apology as well.

Akumu blinked at the sudden intrusion of the other Ulaya. Not having much contact with any other Ulaya, she was unsure of what to do. Raising an eyebrow she replied, "Okay?" That was all she could think to say.
Looking down at the turtle she could see it's head poking out and look around to see what had knocked him off his senses. Letting out a slight laugh at his confusion she looked back at the Ulaya.

"You mean you're okay? That's good!" Nova smiled and tried not to stare at the Udulcan's wings. "And the turtle's alright, right? He's poking out his head!" She glanced down at the little critter and patted it on the head, causing him to shrink back into its shell again.
"Who are you anyway? I'm Nova! I haven't met anyone before, cause I don't usually get out much! My owner says I'm too hyper for my own good!" She looked back up at the Udulcan and gave her a big grin.

Akumu nodded, letting her know that she was okay. "I'm Akumu." She hadn't met another Ulaya that treated her normal, all of the other ones she has encountered stared at her and cowered in fear. She usually didn't talk to anyone else. Enjoying the turtle's reactions she grinned and tilted her head again.

"Akumu?" Nova repeated. "That's a really cool name! It sounds exotic and stuff." She kept on smiling as she said that and glanced down at the turtle. Wanting it to poke its head out again, Nova prodded its shell, then tried to fit her paw into the opening.
Producing no reaction, she stopped disturbing the turtle and stared into the river. "Are there any more friendly turtles you think?"

She took a look into the water to see if there was anything visible they could play with. The sun's reflection off the water made it look glistened and mystical. The clear water showed a couple of koi fish swimming about with the most grace and ease. Akumu stood up and walked over to the waters edge and suddenly noticed a frog sitting under the liquid blanket. She lowered her nose to the water and sniffed just above it, making sure not to snort any.

Nova squinted her eyes and tried to figure out what Akumu found. It looked like a frog, but it could be some large, green fish. She scampered towards her, noticing some other fish. Nova got distracted by their colorful scales and decided to play with them instead.
She knelt down and stared at the fish at eye level. Most of the fish swam away from Nova's loud splashing, but a few of them stayed where they were out of curiousity.
"Hi fishies!" She chirruped happily. The noise made the remaining fish flee, and Nova stood up with disappointment. She went back to staring at whatever Akumu was observing, which turned out to be a frog.

Akumu watched Nova play with the fish, though it seemed more like scaring them then anything. She perked her ears up and chuckled at her. She abruptly stopped laughing and looked back down at the frog, lowering her ears again. She never laughed much before but this Ulaya was kind of fun to be around. Realizing that Nova was now next to her, looking at the frog as well, Akumu reached forward and poked the frog on the head with her claw. It let out a croak and jumped into the water, giving her a slight startly causing her to leap some in her spot.

Nova stepped back after being splashed in the face from the frog. She wiped the muddy water quickly off of her face and stared at Akumu.
"Poking the frog with a claw might have not been the smartest thing to do. Claws are sharp, and a frog is sensitive. Maybe if you just poked it without claws, it wouldn't have been so frightened!" She realized that she sounded too serious, and beamed happily before searching around for the frog again. "Do frogs bury themselves in mud?"

Akumu looked at her paw with a confused look. "I don't know if they do. I think so." She put her paw back on the ground and took a step towards to water. She stood there for a moment before sliding her food in the liquid, before pulling it out and shaking it off. "Water is cold right now." She didn't really like water much anyway but she wanted to see the frog again.

"Cold?" Nova tilted her head and dipped a paw tentively into the water. It was cold, but not enough to deter her from it.
"It's fine! Cold water wakes up you anyway!" Nova hopped into the water with a splash, scaring more aquatic animals away and spraying water over Akumu. She splished around for a moment to stir up the mud from the bottom, and stopped when it got cloudy. Nova waited for some movement from the frog, who was probably scared out of its wit and swimming around frantically.
"There! See?" She leaped at the small creature and grabbed it gently with her mouth. "It tastes bad!"

Akumu shook her entire body to get the water droplets off. She watched the water turn ickey and turned an ear around with curiosity. When Nova picked up the frog in her mouth she stuck her tongue out with a gross face and shook her head. And she thought my claws were bad. She thought to herself.

Nova cocked her head and walked onto dry land, next to Akumu. "Is there something wrong? Don't tell me the frog scares you!" She manged to mumble through it.
The frog began to kick and thrash, wanting out. It struck a blow on her nose and leaped away.
"Ow... that frog has a good kick!"

"No, the frog doesn't scare me none. It's just kind of gross to have one in your mouth, isn't it?" She chuckled as the frog released her grip and leaped away. This was turning out to be a fun encounter. "What else do you think we can find? The water is too muddy though." She lowered her nose to the water, trying to see through the muck.
