Elnara Aldrich Celebor lay flat on his back, one foot still inside the mouth of the vase that was beside him on the grass. He stared up at the underside of the tree he was beneath, just relaxing, taking things in. Kara Winters Ryu looked up at Feng from where he lounged on his sunning rock ready to head to land with her, "So... tell me why I need this stick," he held it up a bit, and why you're rooting around in the tree."
"For my fans of course! We're going to need weapons in case a monster pops out while we go look for treasure!" Feng replied with excitement.
"You make it sound like we're going to storm a fortress," Ryu sighed as he watched her before noticing a squrriel making up with something, (for they were secertly evil creatures or so Feng thought so.) "By the way one of them is making off with your fan."
"Come back here you evil fluffy tail!!!" Feng yelled running (falling for when the spell came undone) after the woodland creature. Elnara Aldrich Celebor rolled over onto his stomach, then leaving his vase behind, he started to explore. He could hear something coming in his direction (though he had no idea what it was) and he sat up against a tree and waited eagerly to see what it would be. Kara Winters "Come back you little rodent from the netherregions who's name I can't say because Mother says I shouldn't!" Feng yelled after the squrriel that was making off with one of her prize fans.
Though what a rodent would do with her fan is competely left up to the imagination unless rodents liked their prettiness too. Elnara Aldrich A furry little creature was coming at him with something in its mouth. Celebor giggled and ran out in front of it daringly.
"Raaaaah!" he screamed at it, trying to scare it. Kara Winters The squrriel nearly jumped out of it's own skin (well not literary) before it dropped the thing it held in it's mouth and scampered off. The thing in question was a folded object made out of paper and wood, Unfolding it revealed a white background with large watery waves rolling across it. Meanwhile Feng was on the ground trying to get her barings since she had turned back to her legs several times already and was ready to strangle the squirrel.Elnara Aldrich Celebor picked up the mysterious object and turned it over in his hands, examining it from every angle. It was pretty, he decided, and started wandering around with it, back in the direction the creature had come from. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, but curiosity made him wonder why the creature had been going so fast. Kara Winters Feng laid there a bit annoywed as she looked behind her, it was a long drag back to the river, but that was beside the point that was her favourite fan. She looked around as she started to drag herself in the other direction (the one away from the river), she was going to find her fan if it was the last thing she didn.
It was probably then when she caught sight of Celebor with her ever precious object and she would have thought of pouncing on him if it weren't for the fact that she had no legs to pounce with. Just as well she probably would have squished him anyhow. Elnara Aldrich Celebor spotted the funny-looking creature lying on the ground and headed over to her, very curious to know who or what she was. He held the funny thing he had picked up at his side, pointing it behind him as he approached her. Kara Winters "You got my fan from the evil fluffy tail!" Feng exclaimed, "I don't suppose I could have it back?"
She looked up at him with wide puppy dog eyes, the kind that made Ryu go running because he couldn't say no. Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked down at the thing in his hand, then at the creature that was talking to him. "Fan?" he questioned, cocking his head curiously. He held it out to her. "You's?" Kara Winters "Yay!" Feng took it and hugged it to her chest (which was a good thing she was dry otherwise it would have gotten ruined), "Thank you person who I haven't met yet."
It was a wonder at this point if someone had doped Feng up on sugar. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled at her. He pointed at himself and said, "Celebor." Then he pointed at her and said, "You?" Kara Winters Feng pointed to herself, "Feng!" she looked up at and studied him, he looked like the other human Seconds except he was different, he probably was one of those special ones that kind of belong to one race but didn't really.
"You're an elf!" Elnara Aldrich For some reason Celebor found this funny. He started out just giggling, but it grew to an uncontrollable laughter and he ended up rolling around on the ground holding his sides and laughing like he was going to be sick. Finally he got a grip on himself and pointed up at Feng from where he lay on the ground. "What's you?" he asked, a huge grin plastered on his face. Kara Winters "I'm a mermaid!" Feng replied happily flopping her tail on the hard ground as if to emphaise her point.
She couldnt' help but giggle along with him since giggles, laughs and yawns were contagious things in her point view.

Elnara Aldrich "A mermaid!" Celebor repeated delightedly. He smacked the ground with his hand. "Elf, mermaid!" He sat up and faced her again, then stroked her hair. "Pretty." Kara Winters Feng put her hands over her mouth in an almost scandalized fashion (though it would take a lot to scandalize her, she was probably just blushing). For her hair was the only girly thing about her, considering she had no qualms of hunting dow an 'evil fluffly tail'.
"You like long hair?" she asked innocently. Elnara Aldrich Celebor patted his own hair. "Long," he said with a short nod. Then he stroked Feng's hair again. "Pretty." Kara Winters Feng sat up suddenly with her eyes sparkling, "Can I braid it?"
She liked long hair because you could do anything with it, which is why she kept hers so long and free.
"Please?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor smiled at her. "Likes?" he asked. "What I do you braid?" Kara Winters "Braid your hair!" Feng pointed to his hair, besides he had nice hair too but to her guys seemed to have very good hair, she couldn't were understand why though. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Yupyup!" he grinned, and he spun around on one foot and landed on his backside, his back to Feng. "Braid!" he giggled. Kara Winters Feng giggled as she reached out gently to part his hair and began to braid even though she knew she didn't have anything to tie it, but she would think of something later.
"So soft." Elnara Aldrich Celebor tore up a few blades of grass and, pinching them between his toes, started twirling them together. "I braid!" he giggled, his eyes sparkling brightly. Kara Winters "You braid?" Feng asked as she undid her hair, she had at least two ties keeping the whole thing together, as she set her hair decoration aside, using one of the ties to tie Celebor's hair in place once she reached the end of the braid. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled and held up the twisted blades of grass. "This a braid?" he questioned brightly. "I did." He was rather proud of his two-inch accomplishment. Kara Winters "It's so cute!" Feng studied it, she would have never thought about braiding grass at all, "What are you going to do with it?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor twiddled it around betweeb his fingers for a few moments thoughtfully, then grinned and turned around. "Present!" he giggled, holding it out to Feng. "Braid for braid!" Kara Winters Feng took it and cradled it a bit before smiling brightly at him, "Yay! Now I have a braid I can carry, thank you!"
She thought it was neat, and maybe if she was careful it would dry and stay like that now wouldn't that be neat? Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned happily. "Thank you!" he repeated, feeling the braid that was in his own hair. He got to his feet and looked around. "Adventure! Adventure!" he giggled. "Want adventure!" Kara Winters Feng blinked and she thought she was random! It was only then she remembered!
"Oh! I forgot I was going to go on one until evil squrriel stole my fan." Elnara Aldrich Celebor clapped his hands together and giggled. "Adventure! Adventure! I come?" He looked up at her eagerly, giving her what others would call puppy eyes. Kara Winters "Yup of course the more the merrier! But first we have to go back and get my brother," Feng told him seriously knowing full well Ryu would be miffed if he couldn't keep an eye on his sister. Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded seriously. "First brother," he agreed. "Et's go!" Kara Winters Feng took a deep breath thinking she had enough to actually get up and walk, and so her spell began under her breath and she shakedly got to her feet. She didn't like the idea she would be confined to water, but if the spell didnt' hold.

Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes grew wide. "Not a mermaid no more!" he pointed. "What's you now? Where brother? Where adventure?" Kara Winters "Only small while, I just have legs instead of a tail," Feng replied with a giggle, "My brother is by the river, I don't know.. maybe we'll make a raft and sail down it... I can't keep having legs.. too tiring." Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes lit up. "River?" he questioned eagerly. "Water? Adventure?" He liked water ... he hadn't seen it yet since he had emerged from his vase, but he knew he liked it ... He had a strange longing to see it. Kara Winters "Yup! That's where we live, over there!" Feng pointed, "There's also a lake over there! But we never go there because the mermaid there will eat you!" Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes flashed. "Bad mermaid! Bad!" he stated. THen his eyes brightened again and he grinned. "Adventure! Et's go!" And he started running in the direction Feng had pointed. Kara Winters Feng followed for once at a more slow pace but only because she knew the spell would come undone.
Ryu looked and turned on his side thinking that Feng had returned only to see a smaller Second run towards the lake, and not one that he recongized. Elnara Aldrich Celebor spotted the other merkid and broke into a grin. "Brother brother!" he squealed, heading for him. "Brother!" And suddenly he tripped and fell SMACK right on his face. He sat up and blinked a bit, trying to decide whether or not to cry ... Kara Winters Ryu blinked and peered over the rock at Celebor, did the guy just call him brother?
"Are you okay?"
All the while wondering if his mother adopted... again.
Feng made it up and due time but was surprised to find that Celebor was on the ground. Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked up and saw Feng, and all at once his injury was forgotten as his excitement for the adventure returned. "Feng! Brother! Adventure!" he giggled, climbing to his feet again. "Et's go! Et's go!" Kara Winters As Feng reached the waters which she turned back into a mer and promptly did a bellyflop into the water Ryu asked, "Is he our brother?"
He had to know because this was too strange but it wouldn't be all that surprising to Ryu if he was. Elnara Aldrich Celebor headed straight for the water. Lying on his stomach at the edge of the bank, he reached one hand in and took a drink. Then he just lay there, his chin resting on his folded arms, his feet kicking back and forth lazily.
He looked up at Feng and Ryu, then pointed at Feng and said "Feng!" and at Ryu and said "Brother!" Kara Winters Feng giggled and laughed as she swam backwards in the water before pointing to Ryu, "He's my brother! His name is Ryu!"
She giggled again letting the water carry her. Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned. "Feng, Ryu!" he giggled. He clapped his hands again. "Adventure! Et's go!" And he got ready to jump in the water to join them. Kara Winters Ryu looked around, the kid couldn't just jump into the water, not with all those clothes on he would sink, it was there he noticed a bit of drift wood, it was a good thing Celebor was still small, otherwise it might not work. The other Second wiggled over to it to drag it in, Feng seeing what Ryu was doing joined to help him.

Elnara Aldrich Celebor stopped and watched them. "What doing?" he questioned curiously, coming over and pushing on the wood with them without knowing why. "For adventure?" Kara Winters "Well you can't stay in the water all the time," Ryu replied, "You can ride on this, float on the water."
Maybe in the future they should look into building a raft, actually Ryu had thought that sounded like a fun idea and it was something that Feng would like. Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned and hopped onto the piece of wood. "Okay!" he grinned. "Where we go?" He dipped his feet down into the water and started kicking. Kara Winters "Down stream! Down stream!" Feng replied sure that would be the best and funiest route (should such a word exist), though Ryu was just hoping there would be no bumps on this way down not like last time. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled and sang along. "Down stream! Down stream!" he laughed. "Go far? Look for something?" he asked excitedly. Kara Winters "Well... we're suppose to be looking for treasure," Ryu gave Feng a look, "But we don't know what the treasure is quite yet." Elnara Aldrich "Treasure? What treasure?" Celebor asked, disregarding Ryu's last comment. "What we gonna find? Wanna find treasure!" Kara Winters "We don't know," Feng shrugged, "I guess anything hidden or shiny would do," she supposed she had never gone treasure hunting before. Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned. "Find shineys," he nodded. "Pretties." And he stuck his face so close to the water that his nose was actually touching it. But that way he could see the bottom without having to worry about glare from the sun blocking his view. Kara Winters "Let's push!" Feng squealed as she began pushing the raft along happily splashing in the water, it wasn't so much the looking for shinies but rather the idea of going somewhere with someone.
She found life too quiet here and she would much rather liked if she could to do something interesting. Like dancing, she liked dancing, but she wanted fans that would be good for water. Elnara Aldrich "Whee!" Celebor cried happily, tucking his legs up on the piece of wood. "Fasta! Fasta!" he giggled. He lay flat on his stomach and held his arms out like wings. "Et's go! Et's go! Adventure!" Kara Winters Ryu shook his head as he helped push which made it raft ride along quickly, "He's just as bad as you Feng."
Feng giggled at the thought someone else who liked adventures as much as she did. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Is fun!" he told Ryu matter-of-factly. He pointed to something glinting at the bottom of the water. "Shiny!" he squealed. "I finded a shiny!" Kara Winters It was Ryu who dove down to grab the object in question and when he pulled it up again it turned out to be something kind of pinkish, that had been tumbled along the river bed until smooth. There was no word for it to them, except for those that know it as quartz. Elnara Aldrich Celebor clapped his hands excitedly. "Treasa!" he squealed. "What's it? What's it? I's pretty!" And he leaned over the edge of his piece of wood for a closer look. His "raft" wobbled a bit ... Kara Winters "It's a pretty pink stone!" Feng giggled, "Sparkly, maybe a rare stone?"
There was a cool thought, of course she knew that probably wasn't possible, but hey it was a kid's imagination to believe so after all. Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded emphatically and leaned further. "Rare stone, my treasure!" he giggled. "My treasure? Ryu treasure? Feng treasure? All treasure?" Kara Winters "Your treasure if you want," Ryu held it out to him.
After all Ryu knew that if it came down to it, all the little things hidden in the tree hallow and all the objects in their room back at the school was their treasure and Feng would not disagree with that. For to her, her fans and hair decorations were her treasures.

Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled happily. "Thankee!" he said happily as he clasped the stone in his hand. But the movement unbalanced him completely and he fell into the water with a huge splash, his hand still tightly wrapped around the stone. Kara Winters "Eek!" Feng grabbed Celebor before the boy sank.
Granted they didn't know if he could swim or not, but better no chances as they both grabbed him, an arm each and hauled him back onto their makeshift raft. Elnara Aldrich Celebor spluttered a bit and kept a tight grip on his stone as he lay flat on the piece of wood and gasped for air. "Water is nice," he said with a smile, wiping his hair away from his face. "Teach me to go in the water?" Kara Winters "You like it?" Feng asked with hope in her eyes, after all her first friend (which would become kind of like a brother after he met Yuki) didn't like water at all, and her second friend didn't really go into the water though he didn't hate it, but the idea of a friend that liked the water made her very happy. Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded emphatically. "Water is good! Yummy and fun!" he giggled. "Teach me to go in the water! I wanna go in the water!" Kara Winters Ryu nearly twitched, he didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing, "How much water did you swallow?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked at Ryu through wide innocent puppy eyes. "I drinked some before I comed on the wood!" he replied. "But I didn' drink none when I falled in. Nope, nope, not me!" he grinned. Kara Winters Ryu and Feng blinked looking at each other, the way he talked kind of reminded them of Nina especially the last part.
"You're funny," Feng giggled not knowing what else to say about that comment, "You get to swim of us though." Elnara Aldrich Celebor blinked in confusion. "I funny?" he repeated. "Why I funny? What swim? Swim go in water?" Kara Winters "Swim is to move in the water, or it's how you move in water," Ryu explained not realizing how he took that for granted.
The two of them just swam, that was how it always was.
"Yes! Because of the way you said the end, it reminds me a funny pet we have." Elnara Aldrich Celebor squealed with delight. "Story! You have a story! I wanna hear a story 'bout a pet like me!" he giggled happily. "Tell me tell me!" Kara Winters Feng laughed again so much that she let go of the raft and sunk into the waters down deep still laughing. All the while Ryu watched with a sigh. Elnara Aldrich Celebor stared down into the water after Feng, his eyes wide. Then he looked up at Ryu. "I canna go in the water like that!" he exclaimed with shock. He blinked. "Can I?" Kara Winters Ryu sweated a bit, not because he didn't think that Celebor couldn't go down like Feng did, but rather he would die, "You could, but you couldn't breath then, and that's not good. So you wouldn't be able to go down as far as Feng or me." Elnara Aldrich Celebor pouted. "I wanna go in the water!" he mumbled, still looking down at Feng. "Teach me to swim, kay?" And he looked up at Ryu with huge puppy eyes. Kara Winters Ryu nearly sweated a bit more, that was worse than Feng, "I'll teach you how to swim, you just can't do what she's doing?" Ryu pointed as his sister was still having fun before she came up to break the surface. Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned and clapped his hands happily. "Yay!" he giggled. "I's gonna swim! You teach me good and then I don't hafta do like Feng, kay?" he said eagerly, his eyes bright with excitement. Kara Winters Feng broke through the surface of the water throwing her wet hair back; out of her eyes that reminded Ryu she weas still the creature she was named after. Now if she would stop being so hyper.
"Agreed," Ryu replied as Feng leisurely swam over on her back and giggled up at the two boys, "Are we going to change the game then?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor blinked. "We gonna play a new game? I wanna swim! You teach me swim!" He hooked one finger on his lip and looked at them with the big puppy eyes he had learned were likely to help him get his way. "You teach me swim good and I don' stay down like Feng, kay?" Kara Winters Ryu tried not to roll his eyes, Celebor reminded him of Feng only he talked kind of like Nina without the riddles, "Okay okay, just jump in, but keep a hold on the raft, we don't want you to sink."
Since he figured whoever his guardian was would not be too happy to hear that Celebor drowned in a river. Elnara Aldrich Celebor grinned. "Okay!" He slipped into the water slowly, making sure to keep a tight hold on the raft with the hand that didn't have his treasure in it. He felt himself getting heavier and started kicking with his feet to push himself closer to the surface.

Kara Winters Feng giggled a bit as she dove down again and gently held him at the waist as she moved him to be on his back so he could float, otherwise he would going to tire himself out. Elnara Aldrich Celebor relaxed and enjoyed himself. "This is fun!" he giggled. "'M I doing good?" Kara Winters Ryu nodded, "Yup, just relax a little," now the question was, was how to do this, they didn't really often swim with legs, what was the point for them to do so? Elnara Aldrich Celebor relaxed so much that he lost his grip on both the raft and his treasure. He started flailing around. "My stone! My stone!" he cried, splashing around and trying to stay up while trying to look down at the same time. "I dropped it! Where'd it go!?" Kara Winters The twins grabbed his arms and hauled him up onto the raft before he accidently drowned himself looking for the thing. It was only when they were sure that he was on there safely that Feng went down to get it, since Ryu was more likely able to keep him on the raft. Elnara Aldrich Celebor straddled the piece of wood and peered down into the water after Feng. "When I know to swim can I go in the water?" he asked Ryu without taking his eyes off Feng. Kara Winters "Err..." Ryu looked up at Celebor, "You can, but only as long as you can hold your breath, you can't breath underwater." Elnara Aldrich "Oh!" Celebor grinned. "Like this?" And he took a deep breath and held it. Kara Winters "Yes...." Ryu replied uncertainly hoping that Celebor wouldn't turn himself blue, and since Celebor vaguely reminded him of Feng he wouldn't be surprised.
Feng came through the water again holding up the stone that Celebor had dropped, "Found it! Why is Cell holding his breath?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor blinked at her and let his breath out. "Ryu's teaching me to swim!" he giggled. "He says if I can hold my breath then I can go in the water just like you!" Kara Winters "Oh!" Feng giggled a bit, "Well that's good yes it is!" she handed him back his stone, "Or maybe you can learn how to breath underwater, but you wouldn't be able to do that the least until you're older nope!" Elnara Aldrich He blinked at her and his eyes grew wide and excited. "I can do that?" he asked excitedly. "Can I learn that sometime? I wanna learn that!" Kara Winters Ryu looked uncertain, but he knew how the game worked, the game of life that is, "Well... yes if you asked the Goddess Minty to teach you magic you could ask to learn how to breath under water, but it would be a long time before you could really make it work."
Heck they couldn't even make their own spell work for a long time. Elnara Aldrich elebor crossed his arms stubbornly. "I wanna learn," he said matter-of-factly. "I ask her sometime. But for now I just hold my breath, 'kay?" And he giggled a bit. Kara Winters "Kay!" Feng giggled a bit before splashing around swimming around the raft.
Ryu just shook his head to himself, the guy should have been born a mer. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled as he watched Feng swimming around the raft. He stuck his stone safely into the waist of his pants, then stood precariously on the piece of wood.
"I'm gonna jump!" he squealed, bending at the knees and getting ready to hold his breath. Kara Winters "Wha?" Ryu blinked he was not prepared for Celebor to take another plunge into the water.
"Yay! Jump!" Feng squealed not at all worried besides they were there and they were much bigger than Celebor he could ride them if it came down to it.

Elnara Aldrich Celebor took a deep breath and jumped, holding his knees. He landed in the water with a huge splash and started sinking. He looked around - everything looked so funny down here! - and then started kicking with his legs and reaching for the surface with his arms. But his clothes were weighing him down ... Kara Winters Something didn't seem right to Ryu and Feng, it was taking him too long to get to the surface, even if the water was fresh it shouldn't. So once more the two dove to grab his arms, it was heavier too. It was only seeing the boy's cloak wave in the water did it hit Ryu what was going on. He motioned for Feng to hold the kid as he unfastened the cloak making it easier for her to lift him up. Elnara Aldrich Celebor felt lighter suddenly, and his throat was burning so he kicked as hard as he could for the surface. He gasped for air as he broke the surface, and he started coughing a bit, getting rid of the water in his mouth. He grabbed onto the raft and stared out into space, his eyes wide.
A slow grin spread across his face, and he giggled: "Again!" Kara Winters Ryu nearly twitched as he threw the cloak up onto the raft so it could dry, "He's just as bad as you," he told his sister as if Feng had somehow corrupted the young Second with her recklessness.
"What???" Feng looked at him innocently. Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked at Ryu, overhearing his remark to Feng.
"Feng bad?" he asked in confusion. "But I thinked Feng is good! What she do?" Kara Winters "Feng is reckless," Ryu pointed at his sister, "She's going to get herself hurt one day."
"I haven't yet!" Feng whined, though yet was the point of the matter. Elnara Aldrich Celebor blinked. "Reckless?" he repeated, hoisting himself back up onto the raft. Kara Winters "She does a lot of things that can get her hurt," Ryu supplied the best he could only to have Feng stick her tongue at him. Elnara Aldrich "Ooohhhh .... " Celebor said with awe, making it a three-syllable word. "Feng, you gotta be careful then, 'kay? Don' get hurt!" And he prepared himself for another jump. Kara Winters "Wait!" Ryu stopped him before he could jump, "You should probably take your boots off and your outer shirt, otherwise you're going to sink again. Your clothes make you too heavy for the water." Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked down at himself, then at Ryu. "'kay!" he grinned. He peeled off his tunic and put it on the raft, followed by his boots. "More?" he asked curiously, standing again. Kara Winters "I think... that should be enough," Ryu replied slowly, at least he hoped so.. otherwise whoever the guardian might be might have to get Celebor a swimsuit. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Yay! I jump again!" And he bounced three times and jumped back into the water. This time he found it a lot easier to get to the surface, and instead of heading back to the raft right away he stayed where he was, treading water, for a minute. Kara Winters Feng giggled, "Now isn't that all better?" she asked as she did a loop de loop in the water before surfacing again. Elnara Aldrich "Lots and lots!" he grinned. "Teach me to do a loopy, Feng, I wanna learn a loopy!" Kara Winters Ryu sighed a bit as Feng giggled before telling Celebor, "I don't know if you can do a loop, it's hard to do that with legs." Elnara Aldrich "Oh," he said, frowning dejectedly. "Can you teach me other tricks?" Kara Winters "I suppose...." Feng looked thoughtful, she didn't know which tricks she could teach him and which ones she couldn't, "You really really like water dont' you?" Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded vigorously. "I do I do I do!" he giggled. Kara Winters Feng giggled, "You're so hyper it's funny," she told him a matter of factly, "Okay, I will, but you need to learn to swim first."

Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Teach me teach me teach me!" he squealed, grabbing onto the raft for a tiny rest. Kara Winters Ryu poked Feng, he didn't want her to be taking it on too soon. Besides for all they knew it was going to be soon time for them to rest or even go back, "We will but later," he told the kid, "You're really hyper for a someone who recently came out." Elnara Aldrich Celebor looked confused. "Hyper?" he asked curiously. And then he looked around. "Where'd my thingy go?" Kara Winters "What thingie?" Feng asked looking around, she really didn't understand what Celebor was talking about.
Ryu nearly twitched and it looked like his attention span was just as short. Elnara Aldrich Celebor blinked. "The thingy I came outta," he told her as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I comed outta it and I took a nap and then I found you. But now I don't know where it is no more, and I think I wanna find it again." Kara Winters Both of the twins sweated just because their vases (though really they didn't need them anymore) were safely tucked away at the base of the tree.
"You don't remember where you left your vase?" Feng asked in disbelief. Elnara Aldrich Celebor's face turned red and he lowered his eyes. "Um ... it was by some water ... under a tree," he mumbled embarrassedly. "Back over where I comed out. But then I heard Feng chasing the furry thingy that took her fan and I losted it." Kara Winters "There's a lot of waters," Feng replied, "There's the other river and the lake with the Second eating mermaid...."
"She's not a Second eating mermaid... she just doesn't like people," Ryu pointed out, "We'll go help look, you need to keep your vase where you always remember it." Elnara Aldrich Celebor perked up at that. "I 'member, when I was still inside, I heard people talking about a nasty mermaid that likes eatin' people!" he said helpfully. "Does that help?" Kara Winters Feng looked at Ryu with wide puppy dog face, "Please tell me it's not her lake....."
Give Feng a bit of credit for all she might do sudicially stupid things, but if it was clear a great amount of danger was involved she wasn't sudecial... which was the largest contradiction ever.
"Yes I think so," Ryu guided the raft back to the banks of the river, "We better go and move it. Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes widened, suddenly filled with fear. "Is she gonna eat me?" he asked quietly. "I don't wanna be eaten ..."
But he did want his vase back ... Kara Winters "She's not going to eat you," Ryu replied a matter of factly as he muttered the spell to gain legs, he wondered if Feng would be able to come, she used up most of her energy chasing that stupid squrriel, "If you stay away from her waters she'll leave you alone." Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes widened even further. "Then it's a good thing I swimmed here and not in her water," he mused. "You know where we gotta go then?" Kara Winters "I think so..." Ryu replied, "But I think Feng should stay here, she's still tuckered out from chasing that squrriel," he mentioned this because he noticed that Feng couldn't change and she stuck out her tongue at him. Elnara Aldrich Celebor was a little disappointed, but he nodded. "Okay, Feng stay here and Ryu'll take me to find my vase and then we'll come back for you, okay?" He tried to sound chipper to make Feng feel better. Kara Winters "Alright..." Feng pouted as she dipped half of her body back into the waters, "But hurry!"
Ryu rolled his eyes, his sister with her attention span it wouldn't ever be fast enoughg, "Let's go before she gets impatience." Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded. "Et's go!" he cheered, and started running in the direction of the trees. He looked back to make sure Ryu was following him, then stopped. "Maybe you better go first," he suggested. "'Cause I don't know where we're going, exactly ..." Kara Winters It was a good thing Ryu was the bigger of the two otherwise he would have to run to catch up and Ryu wasn't about to use up all his energy quickly running. He simply couldnt' afford to, "Okay," he pointed towards a large body of water, "The lake is that way." Elnara Aldrich Celebor followed Ryu's finger with his eyes. "Over there?" he repeated. "But I comed outta the trees."
On the other hand, he hadn't exactly gone in a straight line, so maybe it was the same body of water and he just didn't know it. Which was likely, since he was still so new and had so much to learn. But all he was thinking about at the moment was how much he wanted to find his vase back. Kara Winters "Well if we don't see any fish skeletons by the bank we know we got the wrong lake," Ryu joked a bit, "Err.. nevermind... trust me it's that one."
He took Celebor's hand and led him that way. Elnara Aldrich Celebor stayed close to Ryu's side as he walked. He felt a lot safer there. He kept looking back over his shoulder to see if he could still see Feng - which he could - and felt better about that too. He didn't want her to disappear on him like his vase had ...
"Feng will still be there when we get back, right?" he asked Ryu, just in case. Kara Winters "I'm sure she will... she can't get into that much trouble while we're gone," Ryu replied though he didn't sound all that convinced for all he knew Feng could have found something else. Or something interesting... or another squirrel to chase. Elnara Aldrich Celebor smiled softly. "Good," he said satisfactorily. "Is it far?" he asked then.

Kara Winters Ryu could first spot the vase by the shores of the lake, at least it wasn't too close to the water, for that he was grateful. It would probably then make it a quick get in and get out kind of thing. Elnara Aldrich "There it is! There it is!" Celebor squealed excitedly. He tightened his grip on Ryu's hand and tried to tug him along faster. "Come on come on!" he giggled excitedly.Sitting next to the vase, her back against the tree, was a tall elvish maiden. She was looking at the vase with a very thoughtful and somewhat worried expression on her face. Kara Winters "Hey!" Ryu hurried along, "Not too fast, I can't keep like this long!"
And he sure as heck was not going to rest in that lake! No sir, not him, he was sane thank you. Elnara Aldrich Instead of slowing down, Celebor just let go of Ryu's hand and ran ahead. Elnara (for that's who it was) looked up at the sound of Celebor's approaching footsteps and broke into a wide grin. "Hi!" she said brightly, and scooped him up in a hug as soon as he was close enough. Celebor looked up at her. "Who's you?" he asked curiously, completely unafraid, feeling strangely safe without knowing why.Elnara grinned. "I'm your mommy!" she told him, and hugged him again. She looked up and saw Ryu catching up. "Hi Ryu!" she called out. "Have you been taking care of Celebor for me?" Kara Winters "He's your's Elnara?" Ryu asked even though he knew the answer to that, "He got Feng's fan back and he likes adventures as much as she does," as if that answered everything. Elnara Aldrich Elnara grinned. "Adventurous, eh?" She laughed. "With Feng ... I can only imagine." Celebor grinned. "Feng and Ryu's teaching me to swim!" he bubbled. "And look! I found a treasure!" He held up his stone.Elnara ruffled his hair. "I bet Feng's waiting for you guys somewhere," she grinned. "Maybe we'd better go find her again?" Kara Winters Ryu nodded, "We left her at our river, because she doesn't have the energy to use her magic, she used it all chasing a squirrel," he told her in serious honesty. Elnara Aldrich Elnara picked up Celebor's vase and sat him on her shoulder. "Can you make it back?" she asked Ryu. "Or do you need to be carried too?" Celebor giggled and held on to her tightly. "I'm big an' tall!" he called down to Ryu. "I growed real big! Look!"Kara Winters Ryu smiled looking up at Celebor but said nothing about the height change, "I can make it, if we walk. That's why Feng can't, she ran and chased the squrriel until she turned back." Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Go slow, Mommy! Ryu gots to keep his legs!"Elnara laughed. "Of course." She made sure she had a good grip on the vase, then grinned at Ryu. "Lead the way!" she invited cheerfully. Celebor cheered. "I gets a ride!" Kara Winters Ryu couldn't help but think it funny as he led the wya back to the river because the kid really was hyper. It kind of reminded him of Feng and yet at the same time not. Since Feng wasn't as hyper... she was just nuts. Elnara Aldrich Celebor was enjoying himself telling his new mommy all about the things he had learned. "And you can't go in the lake where my thingy was 'cos there's a mer in there that'll eat you all up! But Fen isn't like that, Feng's a good mer, she won't eacha she'll just be funny acha!" ... And so on.
"And Ryu's really neato 'cos he taked me to find my thingy and he can walk on his legs longer'n Feng can!" Kara Winters Ryu blinked after a while, at least at most his sister would squeal to a pitch that would make ear drums scatter but this kid, "Does he need to breath?" Ryu asked Elnara after a while, "Because I'm sure he hasn't yet." Elnara Aldrich "-and I wented in the water and they helped me out again-"Elnara raised one eyebrow. "Maybe he's one of those people that can talk while breathing in as well as when he's breathing out," she suggested over Celebor's chatter. "- and they teached me to go in the water and under the water and how to stay at the top -" Kara Winters "Were you ever this chatty?" Ryu asked, even though he knew Celebor adn Elnara were not related by blood, the Goddesses must have had something in mind since Celebor could be related to Elnara if he wasn't so.... small. Elnara Aldrich " - and when I stayed down too long they taked off my cloak and putted it on the raft for me - "Elnara winced. "When I was about two, yeah, I think I was. At least, that's what I'm told." " - and when I r'embered my thingy Feng was scared of the mer that eats ya so she stayed - " Kara Winters "There is no age for us, does that mean he's going to be like this until he leaves this stage of his life?" Ryu asked curiously but in good humour, "He really likes water..." Elnara Aldrich " - and Feng was too tired to make legs anyways - "Elnara giggled. "Or until he runs out of stuff to talk about," she laughed. "As for the water ... that's probably my fault. Slipped some into his vase last week ..." " - so she stayed back but she didn't care cos of the eating mer - " Kara Winters "He's new... he'll find something new to talk about every day and he'll find someone new to tell it to every single day," Ryu pointed out.
He wondered if Celebor was going to lose his voice before they got back to the river.

Elnara Aldrich " - so Ryu taked me instead - "Elnara laughed. "So how much further is Feng?" she asked curiously. " - and he had to go slow so that he didn't lose his legs - " Kara Winters "Right there," Ryu pointed to the hallowed out willow tree that over looked the river where Feng was laying on her back in the water letting the leaves fall upon her. She looked like she was napping, it was so strange to Ryu to see her calm while he had this hyper kid beside him. Elnara Aldrich " - and see! I told you Feng was all tired! She falled asleep on me!" And he giggled.Elnara laughed. "Apparently. I have to admit, I've never seen her this calm, either." Kara Winters "Only when she's sleeping, and she's never met anyone more hyper than her," Ryu replied, which he was sure was part of it, Feng had been outmatched in the energy department somehow. Elnara Aldrich "FengFengFengFengFengFeng! Wake up wake up wake up wake up!" Celebor called out loudly, grinning. "We found my thingy! We found my thingy!"Elnara laughed. "I think she may have finally met her match," she commented, putting Celebor back on the ground. Kara Winters Feng wasn't fuly sleeping of course, if she wished that she would have simply sunk to the bottom of the river. She cracked on eye opened and grinned widely, "Nara-chan!!"
"Sometimes I wonder..." Ryu muttered. Elnara Aldrich Celebor jumped on Feng and started bouncing. "Lookit lookit lookit lookit!" he bubbled. "Mommy was at my thingy and Ryu helped me find it!"Elnara laughed. "This could get pretty interesting, don't you think?" she asked Ryu, very much amused. Kara Winters Feng sunk down so Celebor would stop bouncing on her besides she wasn't a raft before surfacing again, shaking her hair out of her face and looking up at Elnara, "Nara-chan's kid has jumping beans in him," she told Elnara.
"Well..." Ryu replied after a while, "That's one way of putting it." Elnara Aldrich Elnara knelt down and scooped Celebor up. "Careful, Celebor, you're going to hurt her!" Celebor settled down a bit. "I'm sorry," he told Feng sincerely. "You 'kay?"Kara Winters "Nothing sinking down doesn't help," Feng giggled doing a backstroke in the water, granted something like that wouldn't faze her, not the mermaid who mailed herself in a fish tank. Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "Made of pretty sturdy stuff, you are!" She ruffled Celebor's hair affectionately. "How's about we take you home, eh?" she grinned. Celebor looked up at her inquisitively. "Home?"Elnara smiled. "Yes ... home. Feng and Ryu's home, too ... shall we all go together?" Kara Winters "Hmm... that sounds good," Ryu helped pull Feng out of the water and gave her a piggyback even though he was quite leaning over, "Let's go, I like the fountain better." *celebor learns some magic* Elnara Aldrich A lone figure was wandering through the woods, seemingly without a destination in mind, for he was going in circles. On the other hand, it also seemed as if he was looking for someone, because he was looking behind rocks, up trees, in holes, anywhere he could think of to look. And every once in a while, he would shout out, "FEEEEE-EEEEEENG! RYYYYYYY-UUUUUU! WHERE AAAAAARE YOU?"
It was Celebor, and he wanted to show them something. Kara Winters The water dulled the sound of the land world, and the rushing of the river did not help matters, but not that it would hinder Feng and Ryu, not since Ryu was lounging on a rock reading a (waterproofed) book, and Feng was making chains of flowers that were growing near the river side. They both looked up and looked at each other.
"Celebor!" Feng yelled out, "We're here you silly elven boy you!" [Aidan]
Toushiro popped out from behind a rock. He managed to make his way over but since he was so small, there was no way they would see him without him geting a top of something. He noticed his two friends and one other he didn't recognize. He waved his hands in the air and yelled "Feng! Ryu! Who's your friend?" He asked curiously

Kara Winters Feng chuckled and giggled like.. well like a schoolgirl, "He's not our friend! He's our nephew! But that makes him our friend too doesn't it?"
Well she knew that from the beginning, besides neither twin could imagine having Celebor call them aunt or uncle. It would make them too old!
Ryu rolled his eyes, "His name is Celebor, he's our sister's son." Elnara Aldrich Celebor ran over to them as fast as he could and when he arrived he was out of breath. "Guess what guess what guess what!" he bubbled. "I learned I learned! Hey who's this?"
He put his hands behind his back and peered at the unknown second curiously. "Who's you? You Feng and Ryu's friend? Gonna be my friend too?" [Aidan] Toushiro walked over to sit beside Ryu on his rock "Ah." He laughed softly "You're still as strange as ever Feng. So he's your nephew, Celebor is he? That's nice." He changed his gaze over to the boy he had never met before and smiled "I'm Toushiro. You can call me Toshi or Shiro. Nice to meet you Celebor and yes..." He giggled "We can be friends."
Yes, for those out tehre you might be thinking 'did a boy just giggle'? Yes, he did indeed. Toushiro is not a man but a small and very tiny boy. Older men chuckle. Little boys giggle. This is the way it is. Kara Winters Feng pouted, "I'm not strange! I'm just.... happy!" Feng tried to explain it away.
However nothing would ever explain away calling squirrels evil fluffy tails or her habit of just being nuts. Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "Yay!" he cheered. "I gets a new friend!" He was so excited that he forgot that he had something to tell Feng and Ryu. Instead, he ran up to Toshi and walked around him in a circle, making a close examination of him. "How you know Feng and Ryu?" he asked eagerly. "You swim with them?" [Aidan] Toushiro grinned, the boy was very childish, a bit like Feng but atleast he had an excuse to be the way he was. He was glad to make a new friend, he didn't meet new people to often. He shook his head at the question "I.. I don't swim." he pointed at the wings at his back "I fly. Feng, Ryu and I have known each other for a long time."
He closed his eyes for a moment 'Eck... getting dizzy.' Elnara Aldrich Celebor's eyes widened and he clenched his hands together. "Are you 'kay?" he asked in a whisper. "I didn't hurcha did I?"
He took a few fearful steps backwards, coming very close to tripping over his cloak. Kara Winters "He's dizzy from going in circles," Feng replied, "Come here Celebor! I want to hug you!"
Though really she wanted to keep Celebor from crying again like last time he thought he hurt someone. [Aidan] Toushiro opened his eyes just in time to ee Celebor take a few steps back. He tilted his head to the side in confusion "Eh? Not at all. I was just... a bit dizzy, that's all." He looked over at Feng who called out to the little boy. He grinned 'Well, I guess she is somewhat motherly like now...' Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled and ran over to Feng, his arms spread wide. "Yay! Hug from Feng!" he cheered. He didn't slow down when he got close, just took a running leap at her. Kara Winters "Offt!" Feng fell over onto her back as she caught Celebor and giggled with her tail flopping on the ground, "You're such a silly elven boy! Maybe you'd like to go on another adventure with me sometime."
Ryu made his way over Toushiro, "Don't let her... she's planning to fill a wagon full of water and have one of Mom's pets pull it." [Aidan] Toushir looked over at Ryu and gave him a quizzical look "Why me? I mean... you're her brother!" he looked back at Feng and then at Ryu again "Pshft! Fine!" He scurried over to Feng and looked down at her as she lay on the ground "UH... Feng. How about we stay her. I mea I haven't been ehre in a while and.. I'd like to stick around for a while longer." Elnara Aldrich Celebor sat on Feng's stomach and clapped his hands excitedly. "Yaaay! Nuther a'venture!" he cheered. And suddenly he remembered what he had come to tell Feng. "Guess what guess what guess what! Minty teached me to breathe in the water! She did she did she did!" Kara Winters "Really!?" Feng squealled and hugged Celebor again looking up at her long time friend, "Now what gives you the idea we would go anywhere?" she smiled innocently, "Don't worry I"ll be good, we'll make a raft and take it down the river instead!"
She just didn't mention which part of the river that's all. [Aidan] Toushiro shivered "Let's... let's just stay here. yeah. Ryu and I... have a lot to talk about and we'd like to stay here. So... atleast stay put for a bit longer, ok?" THis was not going well.... the was definitely not going well. He sucked at persuasion. Especially when it came to Feng. Kara Winters "Awww.. okay..." Feng pouted, she wanted to be out and about and doing things, as usual.... "Then I'll teach Celebor more swimming! That's good right?" [Aidan] Toushiro let out a sigh of relief. She sat down on the spot before looking over at Ryu "Happy?" He then glanced over at Feng and Celebor "I don't know how you can handle those two, honestly..."

Elnara Aldrich Celebor nodded vigorously. "We go swimming, you guys stay here!" he agreed. He jumped back to the ground and started jumping up and down. "C'mon Feng c'mon c'mon c'mon! 'Et's go! 'Et's go!"
He was quite an impatient little elf boy when he was excited, and there was little that excited him more than going in the water. Kara Winters Ryu shrugged and stretched himself out, "I just go along with it, it could be worse... granted there is nothing worse than being mailed, but that's beside the point..."
"Alright!" Feng giggled wiggling back into the water, "Don't forget to take off your heavy cloak and stuff." Elnara Aldrich Celebor started stripping down. He left his cloak, shirt and footwear on the ground beside the rock so that he was wearing only his pants.
"That's how Mommy says I should swim," he grinned at Feng. "Just like Ryu!" He started running toward the water. "C'mon! Et's go!" [Aidan] Toushiro giggled "I guess that's true. So... anything intersting happen while I was gone?" he asked curiosuly as he watched the two. He found it quite amusing really.
THe thing about Toushiro was that he acted older than he actually was. He was just like that, he was sort of like Ryu only he was a bit younger. They were about the same age nonetheless. YOu could say Shiro was a bit of a late-bloomer Kara Winters Feng dove into the waters to beat Celebor as she surfaced and giggled watching him jump in, "Can you open your eyes under water?" she asked after all there was so much underwater to see.
"Well let's see... everyone in this world is the same as usual, we got a few new Seconds, but not a lot this time, it's not like the old days where there were always new vases," Ryu replied, "And of course our family has a new sister, which shouldn't surprise you." Elnara Aldrich Celebor giggled. "I can I can I can!" he bubbled. "And talk too!"
He muttered the spell that the goddess had taught him and stopped treading water so that he would sink.
"Just gotta stay at the top," he told Feng underwater, "cos just in case it stops workin' again." page 1469
