The original is much better then the 'copy' or as you call it, same.

I hated Taka for some reason. Something about him was just very annoying to me. And then, when Tamahome was a puppet and Miaka still didnt know he was, for her to say that she was going to be with Taka because he'd always been there for her and taken care of her pissed me off. I was like "You are looking at Tamahome, who just saved your a** throughout 13 books, and you're going to turn your back on him?!"
I was pretty angry.
So yeah, Tamahome rocks...

I like both of them...
But I have to say Taka...
one of the reasins like disneygurls said...he's more human
And even he doesn't have the power of Tamahome he wants to protect Miaka ^^

hmmm Tamahomes a character in a book but hes powerfuller than Taka and would do anything for Miaka
but Takas human,street smarts,and powerful and is in love with Miaka

Wait, wait wait...I thought Taka was the reincarnation of Tamahome in the real world...
and that Tenko had just created a puppet to distract Miaka and the Seishi.
So How exactly are Taka and Tamahome different? They're the same person. Tama-chan became Taka-chan in Miaka's world. And nonetheless, in the end, as a good love story should go, the heroine lived happily ever after with the man of her dreams. Tamahome. Who had been reborn by Suzaku as Taka Suzunami with different memories, buit who in the end, had ALL his memories of both the book of the four gods and the real world as well.
I'd guess I'd say i'd tie too...though i'd have no actual preference in the beginning.
