She wandered idly beneath the large apple trees, breathing in the fresh scent of its fruits. Even as a child she had fallen in love with these juicy treats and now she was large enough to reach up to gather her own apples. Smiling happily, she continued to amble, lion tail swishing softly behind her, her wings rustling.......like a walking sun among the trees.

Melody: Yes! Away from that grumpy old bear at last! She chuckled as she thought to herself. Now she was free to explore some more. Wait a minute...what is that smell? She stopped and sniffed at the air for a moment then trotted in the direction of the apple trees. She stopped as she reached them, her eyes glinting with delight. "Ooo how Yummy!" She picked off an apple and munched on it happily. She suddenly noticed something rather odd however...There was something flicking and flittering around not very far off. "Hmm thats a strange looking bug." Little did she know it was the very tip of a lion's tail...

She heard the rustling and turned in surprise, immediately catching the sight of a pink mare. Her bright colors shone out between the leaves and Blaise tilted her head in surprise.
Trotting around a particularly large tree, she peered out at the mare, golden tail still twitching. Why...she looks adorable, thought Blaise to herself, suppressing a giggle.
The alicorn mare wondered if she should go introduce herself but decided to play hide and seek a little longer, quickly ducking behind another tree and spying on Melody.

Melody: Her sea green eyes widened with surprise. What was going on? Was that...another soquili? She couldn't be quite sure, it had happened too fast. The pretty golden "bug" had moved away very quickly indeed. "Hey! I'm sorry if I scared you." She paused a moment and suddenly chuckled to herself once more. The idea of her being scary...
She shook her head and smiled as she trotted through the trees, trying to find this other...what ever it was.

Blaise giggled, very much still a filly in her heart.
The other mare was so surprised, but she didn't scare Blaise. In fact the golden one was finding it quite fun playing hide and seek. Thinking quickly about what to do, she caught hold of an apple and threw it at the pink mare, the apple landing just behind Melody. Then Blaise flapped her wings, rising up into the high branches, and slowly edging forward towards Melody.

Melody: She heard the thunk of an apple landing behind her and a giggle, the other having thrown it at her. This was no bug, that was for sure. Her eyes shone with excitement and curiousity.
She stopped suddenly upon hearing the rustling and noise stop, panting softly. Where did they go? "Well wasn't that fun." She murmured to herself. She looked about but didn't see anything. She did not think to look into the high branches...

The bright sunny mare dropped down in a flutter of leaves and wings and mare, all the while whinnying in laughter.
She landed infront of Melody, a smile on hr face and proudly showing her wings, "Hello!Hope I didn't scare you!" she said warmly, golden deep eyes glinting.

Melody: She stood quietly staring for about half a second, before she grinned at the beautiful mare and gave a soft snort of laughter. "Me...scared?" She tossed her mane and shook her head. "Curious as to who you were. That was some hiding. It was actually quite fun." She smiled and then noticed the tip of her lion's tail. "I thought that was a bug at first, as I didn't see the rest of you." She gave another short burst of laughter. "As for me, I'm Melody."

Blaise smiled, nodding happily, "I'm not a bug, I'm a soquili, see," she said, flicking her tail over to tickle melody's nose. Trotting around, she looked at Melody, and giggled, "You have such a pretty coat.....and I'm Blaise."
The mare has instantly warmed up to Melody, so she leaned over to snatch a juicy apple and offer it as a gift, "Want an apple?" she asked.

Melody: She smiled and bobbed her head. "Well it's nice to meet you Blaise. I see that your not a bug now. I really am silly sometimes..." She said all this in good humour, grinning all the while. "And thanks, I wish I had wings like yours though. They look really beautiful and it must be awesome to be able to fly." She nodded as she looked at Blaise's wings with a sense of awe.
She beamed when Blaise offered her an apple. "Thankyou, these are delicious." She took it from her and ate it happily, licking her lips as she finished.

Fluttering her wings lovingly, the golden mare showed it to her new friend, "It was hard to learn at first, and then I could fly. It is alot of fun!" Blaise grinned as she watched Melody enjoying the apple so she nibbled on one too, then gulping it down.
"Come on, want me to show you? There's a field near here, i can do a circle!"
She nosed at the other mare, urging her to come alone, before setting off on a light trot.

Melody: "Looks like it would be a lot of fun." She pouted for a moment thinking that was one less fun thing she could do, but then brightened at the prospect of watching her friend fly. "That would be great!" Melody trotted along after her, tail swishing in the breeze. She looked about as she trotted along, trying to see as much as possible. Melody hadn't been here long after all.

Reaching the field, she folded out the large white wings and twitched her tail in anticipation.
Blaise cast a mischievous look back at Melody before letting the wind draft up her wings and lifted her to the skies, "wheee" she giggled, turning a full circle as promised, and promptly landed back down, inches away from the bright pink mare.

Melody: She watched with a mixture of awe and excitement. "Wow! That was great! I bet it's a stunning view from up there." She poked playfully at Blaise. "I bet you can't go any higher." She said with a cheeky grin, wanting to see her fly some more.

She laughed, 'Watch and see!" and she took off, flapping her wings strongly and up and up and up she went. Blaise was getting quite dizzy from the height, so she reached until the highest she could go, skimmed past the tree tops and dived down, letting the wind whisk past her wings before she snapped them out at the last moment and past Melody.
Still hovering above the ground she smiled, "see!"
