Everything was so beautiful here! The long golden grass was such a good place to hide...and there where SO many fun animals to play with!
And she'd grown, it was an easy thing to see! Well...to those who knew her atleast. The fur on her forehead had become a tuft, her legs had become longer and so had her tail.
But only her parents...her wonderful parents, knew how much she had grown. And so had her vocal cords.
Hidaya always wanted to have a beautiful voice like her mother...only...she didn't know if she had one.

It was indeed a beautiful day in the Southlands, and Uri was happy enough to simply wander, letting his darkish pelt soak up some of the warmth. Besides, the light showed off his white spots nicely. That was always a plus - because if no one else loved Uri, he'd love himself damnit.
He slunk through the long grass, thinking to himself of his little plans for the day, barely paying attention to anything else. First this walk, the back to the waterhole...

She sat upon a rock, clambering slightly to the top that overlooked the horizon of the long grass before clearing her throat. Might aswell give it a shot afterall...and it's not like anyone was around to hear the young hybrid. So she couldn't embarass herself.
"Moonlight wind sweeping through the long gra~a**! Moments like that make life go by so fa~ast!"
Now any young song bird will tell you, you need a lot of practice before you can become an expert. But Hidaya was sounding pretty good for a first try singer.

"Moonlight wind sweeping through the long gra~a**! Moments like that make life go by so fa~ast!"
The sound of the hybrids singing was faint, but enough to cause Uri o turn his head, ears flicking forward to better hear it. What on earth was that? That was no bird, couldn't be, he could tell that much.
He'd never heard any animal but birds sing. Curiousity go the better of the cat and he turned to wander, casually, towards the rock. May as well go see who and what was singing.

Hidaya was having fun, really getting into it aswell. As her mother name meant 'Song' it was apparent that someday she'd take after her mother in that sense. Along with her personality and gentle mannerisms.
But right now, her song was coming out and she was enjoying every moment of singing to herself.
"Wouldn't it be nice to make life last lo~onger! But still keep those moments close to your heart! Maybe when we're stro~onger! We'll learn how to keep these two things apart!"
She wasn't good of thinking up random words either.

Uri means Smoke Like.
And like smoke, he attempted to be silent as he stalked up to the rock and it's pretty pink songstress, laying down hidden in the long grass to listen. Well, the singer was not a bird. No talons, no beak, no feathers. Still sang okay regardless of that.
Though, she wasn't a cheetah despite those spots? Uri studied her. Didn't look quite right. Maybe a lion. Leopard! No. What was she, what was she...

It was hard to tell what she was from looking at her, she looked like a mixture of creatures. Long legs like a cheetah, thick build like a leapord...and hairy like a lion. Strange little juvenille was this.
But as she stood atop her rock, she stopping in mid song to look around. Ever get the feeling someone was watching you? Well she did, right now...and she didn't like it.
It could've well been just a bird or something...but still.
"Hello?..."
