August 12th 2007 update

** Due to the fact that we've had over 30 cubs born in UNDER a two week period, I'm being forced to open this again. :/ Sorry folks. **

Due gigantic jump in population lately it has been decided that the Pridelands will have a temporary limit on breedings. The limit won't affect any active old members, but will affect new members, and members that have been inactive. Until the population has stabilized, to be allowed to breed onto the Pridelands lineart you will have to fulfill some requirements and send in a form to get a special code.

~ Why is this happening? - Because of the huge jump in breedings recently we run the risk again that soon there will be more cubs and juviniles running around the pridelands then there are hunting adults. It's a real strech of the imagination, so we'd like to hopefully allow some time for some of the current children to age. This should also help to curb the large barage of 'breeding just for lineart' that the pridelands gets. There are numerous occassions of people getting accepted into the pride, and then sending the breeding form in the next day

~ Does this affect rogue children born in/brought into the land? - Nope, members are free to join just like always.

Requirements:

1) Parents must have been a member for atleast 1 month. (In the case of rogue or outside males, the mother must meet the requirement)

2) The member must be ACTIVE within the time of the breeding. (They must have some rps in the prideland forums within the months surrounding the breeding)

Process:

1) When you are ready for a breeding (aka have all your rps and forms ready to go) send a pm to Iris_virus. PM's sent to the mule aren't checked very often.

2) I will check the information and make sure that your characters meet the criteria and are active.

3) A code will be sent to you that is to be added to the breeding form. (It'll be a code both Meep and Dusty will know, and will be placed right next to where you put "Pridelands" on the breeding form)

4) If you tell the code to other people, abuse the code to breed another set of your lions, or any other abuse in which a prideland breeding DOESN'T go through me you will face consequences. So just please don't try it guys. crying The rules are easy and really laxxed, so there isn't any reason anyone should have to fudge them.

5) *extra note* It'd be nice if one of the two rps shows the character interacting with pridal people as opposed to simply all rps with only the mate, BUT it's not mandatory.

Length of time in the pride: (can be a guesstimation if over 2 months)
Atleast two rps occuring in the pridelands within the last month (or two):

Iris here, reposting something I posted in the the thread this morning, because I'd like everyone to see it.

I had SO much faith in your guys. In all my mails to Meep/Dust/Kisoni you should see my total faithfilled disclaimers about "Ohh I don't really expect there to be problems." "I don't think anyone around her would cheat."

And yet I've heard from atleast 3 people about the little rumor running around. There has been atleast one occassion where someone has tried to USE the code.

1) That is not the code
2) I am absolutely disgusted and heartbroken

I know I'm probably taking this far too personally, but I really feel like my friends, that I've had so much faith in for so long, have just stabbed me in the back for freaking cubs. :/

You think I wouldn't have NOTICED "Hey look... theres a bunch of cubs I didn't approve.. huh"?

This better stop and it better stop now, because I'm not even joking when I say there will be consequences to cheating.

This is your one warning and I am absolutely serious. If I hear more of this code sharing (whether it be the actual code or some made up wrong code) or see anyone attempting to guess the codes/bypass acceptance I will be going to Dusty and Meep. I don't know how strong my rights are, but I will find some sort of acceptable punishment.

I really thought we all could be adults about this. Please don't prove me wrong again.

Mm...you know, Iris, instead of a code, you could just tell us (the breeders) which couples had the OK for breeding.
