I would personally love the Nghtmare Before Christmas to become live musical it would be quite easy, i'm quite sad as my friends and i have actually transcribed what sets and costums, set changes etc would be needed.....yes i am very pathetic...

so what films, poems or books would you like to see become live stage shows?

Hook ^_^ It was mentioned on the BWW.com boards (yes, I lurk), and it's a really cute idea. We need a singing Robin Williams. Man, that would be awesome.

I would love to see the movie Die Mommie Die as a musical. The story strikes me as a really good idea for a musical.

"Silence of the Lambs" would be a good (albiet rather gory) play. It'd be a hard musical to pull off, though...

I can imagine Hannibel lecture singing away the secrets of Buffolo Bill...it'd be cool...though i'm not sure the scene in the mourgue would be nice on stage

*can't stop laughing* You guys come up with the best stuff. I'd definitely like to see The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Silence of the Lambs (yes, it wuold be rather gory, plus the whole "I can smell your c**t" thing.) But Hannibal Lecter singing would be hillarious in my book. My friends Maddie and Kim can dance just like Buffalo Bill. xd

You know, there was a school in Michigan that put on a performance of Nightmare Before Christmas.

A friend of mine, who's mom is a director is desperately trying to get the rights to do it here in Texas. However, with the case of the Michigan performance, it was non-public (i.e. no advertising), but she would want people to come, so there'd be advertising. And we all know how evil Disney really is deep down.

I just really hope it works, because I have been told BY HER that I would make a fantastic Jack Skellington.

the idea for it popped into my head last year as we were asked to a task based on an animated film etc and bring it to the live thetare it was a fun assignment we did the Kidnap the sandy claws song i was shock, we made it very phyciacl with a lot of gymnastics and stage combat it was a lot of fun...especially as i got to jump off our huge stage wall into the stunt mats xd it was great we got an A for that he he he

I actually adapted the entire movie for the stage last summer. I sent a request to Burton Himself for his blessing to go ahead with the project. He said no because he technically doesn't own it. Damn you, Disney corperation!!!! gonk You've killed my dream....

Maybe his new animated movie, COrpse Bride, will be suitable for stage production. I was kind of peeved when they had some of Nightmare Before Christmas'playing during the preview, but it does look promising.
