The highest sections of the valley, the Valley Heights are full of ledges, outcroppings, and all manner of high up places to stay. A favourite of Avians, Daniel is a permanent resident here.

Daniel swooped in for a landing amongst the Valley Heights. He picked a section of ledge he found particularly favourable and got comfortable, stretching his wings and enjoying the sunlight.

Daniel cocked his head and looked over at the younger Avian. He grinned, surprised but glad to finally see another Avian.
"Hey there," he called out. "Whatchu doin' all alone, kid?"

Daniel cocked his head, confused. He wasn't in the habit of scaring people, especially youngsters like the Avian before him.
"Hey, it's alright, kid," he said, trying to be comforting. "I don't wanna hurtcha, just wondering what'cher doin' up here."
He tucked his wings down, trying to appear less intimidating and kept his distance so the young Avian wouldn't feel too threatened.

"I just don't understand what's going on... You have wings too?" Wolfe starred at the older avian. "I thought I was alone and everyone would hate me... have you been in the meadows with the Gods? How I despise them"
Wolfe looked down at the valley fearfully

Daniel blinked, this pup seemed so bitter and confused that he didn't know what to do. He cocked his head slightly and got close to the pup.
"I have been to the Valley, but not to see the gods of the Wolfies. I've been far from here, learning of the gods of the Avians. It's how I got my wings."
In a movement that was very brotherly, he put his wing over the younger Avian, looking out at the Valley to follow the youngster's gaze.
"There are more of us than you might think and these wings are not something to fear. They're a blessing to be sure."

Daniel grinned. "My brother wasn't too happy with me. Said I was playing with things that had been forgotten for a reason. But, eh, he's my big brother. It's what he's supposed to do. Your family, if they are truly your family, won't hate you. Probably be a bit confused, mind you, but they won't hate you."
Daniel stretched his wings, fluffing the under feathers with a thoughtful nibble. He wondered if the young Avian even knew how to care for his wings. It would be such a pity to have them dirty and unusable. Daniel honored his own too much for that. So it he made it as obvious as he could that he was cleaning his feathers and that Wolfe should do the same.
But, Daniel being the kind of Avian that he was, just looked like he had an itch or was trying to devour his own wings.

"Erk... cleaning my wings..." Daniel muttered, embarassed. "Sorry, wasn't sure if you knew to do the same..." His ears twisted back but he recovered from his embarassment quickly. "If you like, I could go with you. I always talked my mum out of being mad with my brother and me. I'm good with moms."

Amastayalla led her troupe through the new-founded area. It was uncharted to them, and they had grown curious as to what was out here. There were few trees out where they travelled, making the alpha a bit nervous -- though she'd never admit it. Senjo caught wind of her tenseness on the matter, however, but remained silent. No need to make the air any more strangled than it already was with silence.
"Up there. There are others here; we aren't alone," Trenne's voice called to their leader, leading their eyes with a strong look to their east. Penathandy seemed eager, for what wasn't apparent, to see the two avians up there.
But Senjo tread carefully on the matter, lowering his head as the fur on the nape of his neck stood on end. "Don't get so comfortable, Penathandy. No telling what a first encounter might turn into," he growled to the youngest without flinching a look his way. He was always one prepared for a battle, and actually enjoyed the thrill of it.
"No need to jump to conclusions, Senjo," Amastayalla interjected, cool and calm on the matter. The fact that he was with a young avian might prove to be encountered with caution, but they didn't look related. Seeing as most other encounters they had witnessed began without a growl from either side, she put her faith on her observations and approached the two of them collectedly. "Hello there. My name is Alpha Amastayalla of the Sapphire Torrent pack. It is a pleasure to meet you two," she introduced, head bowed in a gesture of peace.
"Amastay!" Senjo managed to gasp in surprise. Her forwardness was something not seen often in predicaments of newcomers, and it startled the entire group. "What's gotten into her?"

Daniel turned sharply, surprised for the second time today by the arrival of another Avian. Four in fact. For a moment he just stared, wide eyed and amazed. He had been looking for more of his kind and suddenly, here they were!
He cleared his throat and attempted to regain his composure and try to hide his excitement. He took a good look at the Avian who had address him and grinned widely.
"A pleasure to meet you as well," he said, moving over towards her so they were near touching. "I'm Daniel and these are my lands." He looked over the others, finally managing to look impressive and extremely self confident. He turned back to Amastayalla. "And you and your pack are welcome here, Alpha Amastayalla."
