The sun rose and shined brightly on the lioness's dark pelt. She had slept well this past night, for she had gotten one of the things that she had been wanting for a long time; a slave. She let her slit of blue eye slide open and stare at the red furball in the grass. Feeling particularly mean today, she decided it was his responsiblity to fetch her a nice breakfast. She walked over to him, proclaiming that he'd better be awake by the time she reached him.

Two days, four hours, fourteen minutes, forty-six-no, forty-eight seconds. The time without sleep. His eyes were narrowed and red. Trying to sleep just made him more irritable when the femal woke him up. He would become much more stand-off-issh then and that gets him hurt. Some father.... protecting him and guess where he was now? With a lioness. His ear titched with the sound of her footstep. With a sigh he spoke.
"Yes, ma'm, what is it that you desire this morning..."
His voice was emotionless as it had grown for the times she had called him for whatever that she wanted.

Sukari smiled her usual toothy smirk. She loved having underlings that were, well... helpless. She ignored his tone of voice and continued to tell the pup her request. "I want you to go get me breakfast. And it better be big, so Jani can get some too. And if you want just a bit of a morsel from it, you'd better get it fast. Got it?" Sukari asked. Every demand she had of the wild dog had been tainted with a challenge to defy her. Should he, he would obtain a wound along with his chore. She waited to see if he would challenge. ((You post, then one for Syr? Or do you want this to be just Sukari and Ryega?))

(( Sure. Syr, Light, Phife, Syr, Light, etc. ?)) He growled and pushed himself to his feet.
"Not very smart are you. Telling me to hunt for you is just telling em to run away. And how am I suppose to hunt right if I am blind?"
Without much of waiting for a reply, he got to his feet and started ioff. That female seriously irked him. His paws threw himself forward as quick as he could, tripping multiple times and went on. The only thing he could smell was something... big.... musky.... anda lot of them.
"Food."
He murmured as he quickly came down the crouch, stalk, pounce, and maul method.

He had been silently asleep when he heard the rucus not too far away, used to sleeping late in the jungles bows, the early morning wake up calls that required him to stir while upon the savannah made him sleepy and constantly yawning for the better part of the early hours. He would get used to it eventually.
Slowly clambering to his foot paws, he padded up behind Sukari, his strange dance like movements making him completely innept at hunting or walking upon the dry and rather barren lands he had happily followed the brown lioness in to.
Drawing his whole body down her left side he nipped her cheek as he glimpsed the flicker of a red tail vanishing off to do the hunting. He wasn't about to question what was happening. It was none of his buisness. His buisness was with Sukari, as long as what she did didn't effect their relationship he was happy to take a back seat and simply fawn over his lover.
"You know I just don't do mornings" He grinned cheekily, flashing those pearly white fangs at the blue eyed femme whom he loved and respected for reasons he tried not to question. "Whats for breakfast?" he twitched his toes in the sand, stretching out those deformed claws. "I reacon I could rustle us up some grub." He smiled winningly, his tail tip twitching, he wanted to be useful to his larger mate, though really out here he was like a babe, unable to hunt without a tree to aide his methods.

Sukari had been fuming since that whelp had run off to bring in breakfast. Before Jani had come, her lip was curled into a snarl. She'd teach that pup yet...
Then she felt his touch... All stress immidately left her body, she even almost shuddered. How odd this would have been a little while ago, to even care about another... She faced him, glad that he left his one and only home for her. She smiled at him and nuzzled him back.
She chuckled at his morning comment, and answered his questions. "I just sent the whelp out to get it. I think you've got to get more accustomed to hunting on the solid ground. Antelope is a lot different than boar," She looked out into the distance where the whelp had headed. "He'd better bring home some good food," She added quietly, her eyebrows making a small frown.

Ryega carried back something solid in his maw. A leg. Behind him was the stripped body of a zebra. Alright, he stole it, but he did what he was told to. He got the breakfast. On closer expection, the body was missing a leg. The pup had gotten hungry and a quick snack did not seem to be too much harm to him. He did need the energy. He grumbled as he thought back to where he had found it.
Three hyenas and two lions. They seemed quite occupied with their scruffle that no one had been paying attention to the little red dog come up and snatch it. He was getting stronger slowly and his ability to keep quite was slowly (and I mean slowly) working it's way to perfection. Luckily, he got away safely, and ate quitely where the other's could not follow, glad that there was a river to cross. His scent and the zebra's were washed away for only a little while.
Not too far now, he approaching his "master" and by the looks of it another. Was that the scent of the male he smelt once before? His nose had worked overtime as it soon began to became his way of life. He sniffed the female and headed directly to her. The scent of the zebra's carcass brought him to it, the sounds of the rushing water brought him to the river, and the scent of his "master" brought him back.
"Here...."
He growled as he dropped the three legged zebra down and his head moved over to the male's scent. Another scent that came back. A friend? Or.... he'd risk it. Ryega moved boldly to the male and sniffled around him, taking in his scent. Normally, he would press his nose against his fur and take in a breath to familiarize it and touch his muzle to figure out who or what he was. But those times were gone.
"And you are?"
His tone was not as harsh as it was with Sukari, he had tno reason to be mad at this male.

Tall and slender and strangely mucely for a cheetah, it wasn't really strange that the little wild dog wasn't sure what he was, but his long tail flickered as he watched the little red pup drag a whole, or pretty much whiole, zebra to their feet. Strong considering his age. It baffled him quietly, though he let his expression melt to that of curiosity to the pups sniffing. Lowering his head slightly, he looked the youngster in the eyes, those ice green eyes wondering for that matter what the wild dog was. There were no wild dogs in the jungle and there for the pup was a freak of sorts. Rolling his shoulders he gave a smirk turning his attention back to Sukari. "How the hell did he catch that?" He raised a curious brow and stepped over the pup, those extra long legs easily striding over the youngster. Happy enough to neither show hatred or a feined like for the pup, indiffernce was really the only otehr thing he could have. He paused for a moment "Do zebras always have three legs?" The few zebra he had seen in his time, those whom had wandered close to the jungles edge had always had four.
Letting a low chuckle escape him he hopped back to Sukari nudging his nose against her cheek. "Not to sound ignorant, but what the hell is that red thing?" He grnned toothily, truthfully he had never seen any sort of dog, jakals, wild dogs, hyenas, they were all myths to him, things he knew the names of but had never seen.
Glancing at the youngster as he asked as name, his ears twitched backwards and he gave a slight nod, "Jani'Esquillo, and you are small red and apparantly zebra capturing?" His ears perked then, the scent of the zebra lifting his nose. It was certainly different than the boar he caught between the bows. He couldn't acctually emember if he'd ever eaten Zebra. Well, there was a first time for everything.
Turning his full attention back to Sukari he licked her cheek with his tongue and smirked. "Come eat with me?" that glimmer in those icey eyes as he half hobbled towards the beast of prey. That strange gait he had would undoubtedly never go away, he needed trees to be what he was, he simply hoped wheer ever they were going had a few.

"He caught it... However," Sukari responded. She didn't really care how he caught it, just that he did. It meant she would have to whack him over the head, and it'd spare her the wasted energy. "Zebras are like boars, but bigger, and a different shape," She said, heading towards her breakfast. "The whelp's what they call a wild dog. Apparently, they're good at catching things," She told her mate with a smile.
She turned her attention to the whelp in front of her now. "Move, pup." She growled, wanting him nowhere near the kill when she and her mate ate.

"Name's Ryega...."
He replied, hs tone was more casual toward Jani. By the smell of it, he wasn't from around here. He smelt... moist, dirty, and....grassy. But the way he spoke to him, it didn't seem like he would hurt the little pup. Strange, where did he come from? Ryega turned his head as Jani left him and went toward the kill. Then her scent came to him. She was coming too. She ordered him away.
"Fine."
His tone was cold and harsh towards her. She was by far the worst of any in his life. Her first action in their meeting alone labeled her that. Taking him from his fahter and then proclaiming him as her slave. With a heavy sigh, he moved away from the two and sat down away, back turned and tail curled.
How did he get here? And how was he gonna get out?

"Wild dog, hmm, always thought they were myths." He grinned sheepishly as he watched his mate push around the little pup. Jani was far from compassionless, but the pup had nothing to do with him. Unless it perposefully hurt Sukari, Ryega was just another peice of the proverbial furniture.
Tucking his shoulder tightly against Sukari's as he sat by the kill, he growled, a soft rumble which echoed in that cavernous chest, those ice green eyes dancing with a challange, with laughter. He flashed his teeth at her as he ripped at the white and black fur of the zebra. "tastes nothin' like boar" he swallowed hard, hardly even chewing the chunk of meat and fur he had pulled off. Another backwards glance at the young red wild dog told him wheer he was. To trust the little creature or not was a question in his mind. Did it really matter? Truthfully, no, why would it?Sukari was the center of his world and would ultimately always be, those that drifted in and out of their lives were pretty much meaningless.
Dipping his muzzle in to the meaty beast now, he went silent as he devoured the soft, juicy flesh of the beast that the pup had braught for them, his shoulder constantly pressed against Sukari, his ears flatteend tightly against his head and his tail occassionally flickering to tap her own tail.

She enjoyed the presence of her mate next to her as they ate their breakfast. She was quite glad to be back on zebra, and glad that Jani didn't simply hate it. Although, it wasn't like he had much of a choice... zebra was one of the most abundant food sources out here.
When she had eaten her fill, she rubbed against Jani in a kitten like way and lumbered off to sit down, her gaze switching from her mate to her slave.

Ryega's back remained to the two, not wanting to interrupt them knowing that that female would do something to him. Again. But this Jani fellow.... what was he to her? It boggled his mind now that his scent was around to. Scent was his eye, now with a new one it just made things a tad bit worse for him. But he cannot help but wonder; if he became friends or close to Jani in any way, he would entirely mind his enslavement to Sukari. However, the cahnce of that was low and well.... he was just a wild dog.
With a heavy sigh, Ryega moved his aching body down slowly. Perhaps he can finally get some sleep after being taken. Though, chances are Sukari probably had something for him to do.
"Dad...."
He whispered.
"Where are you..."

What should I do with the slave now... Sukari thought to herself. She looked back to Jani, seeing if he would give her any hints, but he didn't. She had to keep him respecting her, and he needed a lesson in that. A more... appreciative tone from him was needed, but she didn't care that much. As long as he did as he was told, things would work out well.
"Whelp-" She called for Ryega. Whelp had become his name, and she would always refuse to acknowledge him by his real name. "Check the surrounding area, then you can do whatever, as long as it's not escape." Sukari commanded him. She hoped he knew that if he tried to escape, she would hunt him down and kill him. There were always others she could enslave, it was just convenient to keep one around. Eventually, though, she would replace him and either kill him or throw him out into the wild. This last bit, however, was her secret.

Jani padded around ehr dark body then, destracting her perhaps from the pup, a slight, cocky smirk forming on his dark maw. "the pup won't go any where Sukari, come on." he nudged her shoulder, and nipped almost playfully at her ears, turning her head towards different persuits. He threw a glance at the young wild dog, his ice green eyes fixed for a split second on the youngster before his full attention went back to Sukari. He could ignore the pup, as long as it wasn't taking up Sukari's attention.
"I'm starting to feel like a kept male." He smirked, he remembered the phrase from some where. "I'm used to feeding myself." Nudging under Sukaris chin he padded his way back towards the shade where he had been sleeping before he was awoken. he wans't sure if they were going to start travelling or if they were to sleep first. After food, he was used to a power nap before doing anything else, perhaps things were different on the savannah though. Turning his gaze on the large dark lionees, he tilted his head a little."Come and rest with me for a while?" his tail wriggled and a mischevious grin crossed his maw, he was in a fine mood.
