READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE REPLYING!_As I steadily get new tasks and duties at work, my online time dwindles. Because of this, and the need of a mod staff that is active, I made this thread to help me find my new crew members. _You will need to post your 'application' in this thread. No discussion, no bumps, I just want application posts, and only one per user. Anyone can apply, but I am looking for people who stay active and are responsible. If you feel up to it, please feel free to apply in this thread. This thread will stay open til the end of march, giving everyone a chance to apply and then stay active. Sometime during the first week of April I will make my decision for the TWO open positions. _ The responsibilities of the Crew status are as follows: - Maintain the Gaia TOS and my rules and guidelines, PMing users with warnings when needed along with alerting me of your action. - Moving misplaced threads, posts, etc. - STAYING ACTIVE - Recruiting new players [new active players will earn you gold and/or items] - Helping me make Cyberia the best it can be _ Benefits of being a Cyberia Crew Member: - Monthly pay starting at 1,000g a month - Access to The Black Ice Server Forum with sneak peaks on new things for Cyberia and the privacy to voice your problems with things related to the guild. - A special crew-only cybernetic - Extended abilities in the guild, such as the ability to move threads, ban people, etc. - Extra gold gained when recruiting new members. _If you have any additional questions or noticed that I ******** up somewhere in this, feel free to PM me at any time, and I'll do my best to respond within 24 hours. Some things on the application are relavent to the position, and some may only seem to be, lying on the app is a big no no, so try your best to answer all things as truthfully as possible. 4-5 hours a day and about 25-30 Hours a week
Why do you want to be a Crew member? [200 words or less]
I would like to join the Crew of Cyberia because I have a deep interest with the Cyberpunk genre and Role playing and I enjoy the guild as a whole as well. I have been active in this guild for a while now, even through some periods of inactivity and I have also contributed ideas to the guild and have other ideas I would like to contribute as well. I also have some ideas I would like to share that may help get some more members into the Guild. I also believe the guild could get a little more active if more people join it, that are interested in it.
Why do you come to Cyberia and what do you like about it? [200 words or less]
I come to Cyberia ,almost everyday, because I enjoy it. I enjoy the people, the ideas, the conversations, and the roleplaying as well. I like the ideas behind the role playing and the broad range of customization for me to choose from. I also like how each character, mostly, is their own original character and how each character, so far, is different in many ways. The city, Daitokia, is a big place, with all the varying districts and back stories it makes for an interesting experience. These are the main reasons why I return to Cyberia daily.
If their was one thing you would change about Cyberia, what would it be and why? [200 words or less]
Cyberia, for the most part, is great as is but there is a select few things I would change about Cyberia but, mainly I would focus on the incomplete list of Cybernetics and Equipment. Now I understand Tinfoiler has only a short bit of time to get online but if I was a moderator I would be able to put up peoples ideas, and my own, after I run the by Tinfoiler first of course. This would allow for an even broader range of customization for role players to choose from. Also I have noticed some items missing from the list and could help put them in, Coilguns are an example of one piece of missing equipment.

Both are recommended; Cyberbrain to control the implant; Datajack to connect the implant to an outside source, if you'd like.

When it gets right down to it, what kind of music does a Cyberpunk listen to? Industrial Metal. Skinny puppy is always a must, Carfax abbey, Blue man Group. cutting edge music for a cutting edge punk.
Preference - Partial Cyberization or Full Cyborg? Partial, emp sheilding only goes so far, the manmeat in me will get me the rest of the way if they shut me down.

about an hour a day, probably close to 25 a week. all spent either in cyberia or building gaia puzzles.

To help out, to become more actively involved in major storylines, and to make my time here more worthwhile. (That and the 1k/month will help my scarf hunt nicely.)
Why do you come to Cyberia and what do you like about it? [200 words or less]
I come for the Cyberpunk rp, and the discussion on the next steps on the technological/human interface front.
If their was one thing you would change about Cyberia, what would it be and why? [200 words or less] I would make more corporations, so that the "rebellious, antisocial, and Violent" ones of us had something to rebel against, and at the same time, those of us more along the lines of Corporate assassins/street samurai would have a choice of employers...

Have you ever Moderated for a website before? Where? Yeah; I was a mod in another guild here that's sort of in limbo (The MacKenzie Institute), a Matrix Online clan (The Illuminati, CN: Tacit).
What areas on Gaia do you usually post? [ex. The Exchange, GD, GCD] Mostly in Site Feedback and here.
When it gets right down to it, what kind of music does a Cyberpunk listen to? The eclectic; we're talking reggae dub or something like some trance mixed with traditional Japanese flute music and a hint of bluegrass. It's progressive.
Preference - Partial Cyberization or Full Cyborg? Partial...meat is meat...but it's still a link to humanity.
How long are you usually online a day? a week? 3-4 hours a day, 24 hours (give or take depending on the week) a week.
Why do you want to be a Crew member? [200 words or less] Cyberpunk is a passion of mine. Ever since I opened Neuromancer, I've lived and breathed cyberpunk (with varying degrees of success). This is an extension. This is me saying, "OK, I like to RP, and I have these ideas in my head that are just beating on my frontal lobe with a microphone stand trying to get out." As far as moderators go, I'd say I was a middle-of-the-road moderator; I'm not going to go on a crusade to rid the guild of who I think is wrong for the guild, nor do I sit idly by as people damage that which I hold so close. I'm more of a glue...a voice of reason.
That, and I have a power/control fetish...and I WILL make you SUBMIT (j/k).
Why do you come to Cyberia and what do you like about it? [200 words or less] It was more of a random stumbling into Cyberia...I was looking for a RP guild of some sort that had moderately intelligent conversation. Then I saw the banner and thought, "if there are intelligent people on Gaia, a guild centered around concepts that most NO ONE understands has to be the place." Sure enough, it was.
What I like best...random conversation. People who share my interests in games, books, movies, crusades. I love to RP, but I also love to talk about literature and movies.
If their was one thing you would change about Cyberia, what would it be and why? [200 words or less] I guess my change would be entirely Gaian...we need more technology. Yeah, it's all well and dandy if you wanted to play a character who had fox prosthetics, but if you want to be a 5000lb machine of destruction? Where's the justice?
If I had to pick one thing for Cyberia and Cyberia alone...maybe making all of the classes uniform. In that, I mean to have a set group of classes; I've noticed different characters applying different classes to themselves, when they could really be constructed classes with themes. I guess all around the classes need to be more fleshed-out.
Dystopian Future - Bladerunner or Ghost in the Shell? I've written and rewritten this entry at least 5 times now; this is hard. Bladerunner because, although we aren't presented with a strictly utopian world with flaws, we are presented with a privatized business-controlled world in decline where the main character begins to challenge what is accepted about the replicants. I also believe that it works more effectively as a dystopian story because the situation or the setting is more believable to audiences now; that is, there is a point of reference that P.K. d**k could use to show us a dystopian world in which we are to think about how we treat others.

I'd say the cyberbrain first; what good are you to the rest of the world if you can't fully control your own internal systems?
