The silence of pre-dawn, the first screech of a gull high above the shoreline, the kiss of first dawns light peerign over the horizon and dying the deep, dark blue sea a sparkling red gold. With her toes being lapped by the waves, the pale princess of the pride sat, her ears tightly flattened against ehr head, deep, watery blue eyes stareing out mesmorised by the sight she had watched every day for as long as she could remember. Which really wasn't all that long ago. A slight smile raised on ehr lips as she pawed at the glistening waters edge, trying to capture the lights which slowly made the whole sea glisten like molten gold.

She had been told by her father not to go further than the waters edge, and strangely, it was something that had sunk in, a hard task indeed to get anything to stick in the mind of this youngster, her memory span short as a tealight wick. Still, that didn't stop her from laying down on herside and letting the waves lap up her silver grey body, pulling at her pale fur and soaking her to the bone.

Laying silent for a very long time, the sea started to creep away from her. The side slowly slinking back out to where ever it came from, she wasn't surprised by this, though the fact that something, not wet crawled up her body made her head shoot up and glance at what clawed at her soggy body.

A small crab had made it's way up her foreleg and was now sitting sunning it'self on her shoulder. a silly laugh escaped her as she watched the tuny creature perched upon ehr shoulder. "Gweh?" she tilted ehr head, acctually expecting the crab to answer her, though of course it did not, it did however move further down her body. "Cr" her head fell back on to the sand then, her paws reachig out for the sea which was slowly leaving her in it's wake.

Nkechi loved the sea. She didn't know, honestly, how she had lived without it all her life until know. But she had never known of its existance before and had only ever wanted some place nicer, like her brother had said of a land of flowers. Growing up in a graveyard had been hard for one so sweet and easily frightened as she, but that was all a distant memory now. The only real things she remembered of that was place was the faces of her family.

But now she was starting a new family, at it was beginning to show. Her belly was becoming more rounded and she was having periods during the day where she couldn't stomach anything. She didn't really understand it all, no matter how much Noari explained-he was so smart!- but she was happy. So happy.

She hummed cheerfully as she made her way across the sand, the morning air feeling fresh and salty in her lungs. She barely noticed where she was going-just that she was moving along the sparkling water. Her emerald eyes opened a little wider, though, when she saw a young juvenile sitting near the water.

With a small she went to meet her, "Hello!"

"Muh?" A voice interrupted her train of thought, if what she was doing could be put down to thought at all. The voice was new and strange, unusual and unfamiliar, it was neither of her siblings nor of those two larger lions whom she faintly knew were her parents, this was something new and there for required investigation.

Rolling all the way over, the crab luckily scuttling away before she crushed it under her slight bulk, she stared up curiously at the large brown and white female. The cloud pattern which covered the femmes body immediately made Siyasura smile, her dark, watery blue eyes watching as the female approached. "Clou" she stated in a cut off manner, what she meant was cloud, a word which she liked alot and had listened to her father tell her. Of course, she hadn't expected a cloud to come walking towards her and it quite worried her what a cloud must feel like. Still, she was never one torun away from her fears.

Sitting in a sudden flurry of damp sand and salty water she stared wide eyed and bushy tailed at Nkechi, those confused eyes almost lookibng through the lioness. Her head tilted left, her neck almost seeming to disjoint her head falling tso swiftly in to this innocent eyed, confused stare.

Clou...? She wasn't sure what that was...hm...maybe that was that the little girl though was her name! It make Nkechi smile brightly, but shake her head, "Nope! I'm Nkechi!" Her voice was energetic and sweet, and far too sugary to fit a normal person. But she had a hard time being sad anymore...she was here with Noari and everything was wonderful! Plus, she had a strong love to youths, though she didn't really know why. "What's your name?" She asked sweetly, though she looked like she was one of the princesses.

"Nuh" she heard the first letter and it colided with her ears bringing her back from the brink of the moving cloud to recognise the shape of a lioness before her. She grinned toothily those dark, sea blue eyes fixed dazedly on the female as if she had just come from no where, arriving in to the small world in which she resided. This was definately not a cloud it was a lioness! She looked like a cloud though, a cloud on the sand. It baffled the youngsters mind how a lion could be a cloud at the same time. Blinking a few times, she got to her paws and simply padded up to the femme walking straight between ehr forelegs, brushing her silver grey fur against the legs of the brown and white lioness.

She then plonked herself down right underneath Nkechi and looked up at the pale belly, larger than her mothers and as she had never truely seena ny other lionesses pregnant she decided this was how a lion could be a cloud, after all clouds were round and fluffy, while lions were slender and hairy. That settled that matter. She reached up a curious claw and poked at the unsuspecting lionesses belly. Her head whipped around though when her name was asked. Had the cloud asked her name? "seeeyaaasuurrraaahhh" She glanced around, even looking under her paws for the source of the voice. She had never met a talking cloud before, though she had met plenty of clouds around, floating their way through the sky. Apparantly, this one was a beach cloud though and could speak. Which made it a very interesting cloud indeed, even more so for holding her short attention for more then three minutes.

Nkechi felt a warmth reach her heart as the little girl rubbed against her. She loved her right away, the sweet little thing, and couldn't stop her own wide smile with twinkling eyes. Whether it was her knew motherly feelings kicking in or just her pure compassion it was hard to say. But the little one had won her heart and brightened her day. She giggled as the juvenile touched her belly, "That tickles!" she squeaked. "Seyasurah? Well it's very nice to meet you!" she chimed, happy to finally have a name to put on that cute little face.

Wiggling her plush tail the dark eyed youngster looked upwards finally finding the lions eyes looking down at her, she smiled widely and padded back out from between nkechi's paws the long way, tking ehr time and weaving between the adults back paws before coming all the way back around, slipping between her fore paws.

For a moment she was lost in the world, what she saw before her was white sand and waves, the moving cloud had vanished and her world was her own again, this tiny world in which she was constantly lost. She peered behind ehrself though and found the lioness-cloud instantly and turned her whole frame around to sit before her. She lifted a paw then and waved a little. This was definately a lioness cloud, though how she could be both still baffled ehr confused mind. The large lioness, or the shape behind the cloud of course, reminded her of her mother, though she was much more, cloudy, than the silvery form of her mother. "muh?" she tilted her head, curious if this was another female she was supposed to call by the name 'mum' after all she was a similar size and shape even if she was a little tubbier and cloudier.

Awwww, she was just too precious! She just couldn't stop smiling, because the gray juvenile was so cuuuute~! Instantly it was etched into her mind that all young things were adorable and that when she had babies(when did Noari say that was again?) they'd be just as cute! The paint quickly got lost in her own thoughts and nearly didn't hear Siyasura's call. Her ears perked and she blinked, unsure of what Siyasura had actually said, "Mm...? What is it, sweetie?" Because the little girl before her was as sweet as honey~! Or flowers! Mmm, Chi liked the thought of the second one. So pretty.

Small silvery head tilted as she watched the large female, and she gave a wide playful grin, okay,s he was another mum then? The words escaped Siyasura but as far as she was concerned, the words simply affirmed that this was anotehr female she could put under that great wide category of mother or father, which inclueded anything bigger than herself or her siblings.

With a giggle she leapt to her paws and ran around the cloudy lioness a couple of times, her laughter echoeing as she went before she flumpped right back down at the edge of the sea wheer she had come from giggling away to herself. "hee.."
