Ok,my friends and I have been disputing over whether vectors can actually be seen in certain conditions.By the way,we're talking about the kind of vectors that Lucy and Nana have,not like Mariko's.Anyways,If anyone has seen the manga book,I believe Bando was actually able to see Lucy's vectors...same in the anime now that I think of it....but want to know what you all think.Can vectors be seen or not?

in certain conditions yes. In the anime (i cant remember if it is in the book too) you see the cage thing where Mariko where locked in you can see her arms wrapped around the cage. There you are able to see the vectors.

Vectors cannot be SEEN by the people, because they are invisible to the eye. However diclonius can sense them. They only let you see them so you can see whats going on, what you see in the first nine minutes of Elfen Lied is what a person there would see. Maybe due to other forces you might be able to determine they are there, however they cannot be seen, only sensed.

i think that humans can't see them, because even someone who knows they are there only knows to stay out of range, for example bando, hje doesn't watch the vectors although he would if he could, he only measures the distance, i think however diclonius with their sensing ability can sort of form a picture of the vector and thats also why you see diclonius having strength fights between vectors thats my opinion anyway

Yes they can be seen.
Like motion detectors anf things like that.
or when it's foggy like at the beach aginst Bando.
It's like when they hold still it's impossable to see them but in motion they can be seen.
that reminds me of a predetors armor in ways thoe.

Ok,I have re watched the episodes once more.Bando DID see Lucy's vectors.Though it was probably the rain that allowed him to be able to see them,but whatever the reason,he did see them. 3nodding

Yeah, I'd say conditions like rain would cause them to be seen. That case is almost like being able to "see" a owl in a night sky only because it blocked out the stars. But yes, I think that they could be seen if something was on them and we know that is possible because Lucy was able to leave bloody hand prints.

Lina-San vetors yeah they can be seen have you guys seen the anime there only seen in the anime because other wise we would have no cule what was going on

There. :] Go Yuure >3 I'm with y'all. Humans can't see them. It just comes out and says it in the manga. If humans could see them, all the people at the festival when Kouta was a kid would have known what happened.

I think the only way it would be possible to see the vectors would be if they were covered in something, or if it was raining/snowing....

Someone form this Forum saw film: Predator? I think Will be that same with Vectors. You can see them, when tey move, BUT! Whtn you see it, it's to late for you...
