From what I've seen, most peole watch the Rurouni Kenshin anime, but does anyone read the manga? If you don't, pick up a few copies. Its really good (and a lot less pricy than the anime)!!

Thats not really true. We had a poll about which was better, the manga or the anime, and the manga won. By a long shot. By the way, I read all 28 volumes along with the two side stories.

I read the manga. I loooove the manga. The show is what got me started with it, but I've never seen a difference between them except Kenshin's dialogue and a few things to keep it PG. (-sigh- When they took it off Toonami in the middle of the Raijuta series, I didn't know they had just moved it to a later time, so I didn't watch anything after that. So, I still don't know the difference in storylines yet. >.> (Eeps, and no one tell me!))
I haven't finished the books yet. I'm taking my time. I've found that if you read a new one only once every other week or so, it's much more exciting then buying a bunch at once. So, I still have some time to go before I finish the series.
But, anyone who hasn't even read the first book, read it or the skin on the pudding in your fridge will get you in your sleep!

It used to be that I favored the anime over the manga, but after watching the Reflection OVA - which showed just a tiny bit of the 3rd arc - I just had to pick up the manga to find out what all happened between Kenshin and Enishi. The books were amazing! I think I may honestly say that the anime(not the OVA's) and the manga are on almost equal footing, though the manga is somewhat better.

Well, I can't watch but the second season of the anime...But, I own 26 out of the 28 volumes of manga, and I love them! I do like some of the stories the anime added (only some) but the manga is way better. One of my favorite differences is how Kenshin says "this one" instead of "I" in the manga...I wish they would've kept that in the anime...
Basically, I am obsessed with manga.

I LOVE the manga!! I own all 28 volumes. I think Ruroken is the only full set I have. But, my 1st vol. is getting pretty worn out ^_^

I started out with the anime, but after I read the first few manga volumes, I was disappointed by how much stuff was left out or changed. One small example is when Kenshin made Kihei piss himself on the dojo floor. That was great. The manga has all the violence, blood and swearing that were removed from the anime to kiddify it. The OVAs, on the other hand, had a lot of gore and violence in them, but were too serious and depressing for my taste. To me the manga has all the blood and violence the OVA fans ask for and all the comedy and lightheartedness the anime fans ask for. Nothing beats the original!

Pharaohess1 I LOVE the manga!! I own all 28 volumes. I think Ruroken is the only full set I have. But, my 1st vol. is getting pretty worn out ^_^ Some of the pages are starting to yellow on mine. ^ ^;

i see that im not the only one who feels that the manga is soooooo much better then the anime!!!!! the anime is good, dont get me wrong! but compared to the way that the manga is done it is no comparison

I started out whatching the anime. After finishing the series I started reading the manga. 3nodding
To be honest I like both. Can't really pick which is the better.

I was only counting the ones in the manga. 1. the first issue special 2. the original Rurouni 3. Cresent Moon in the Warring States Era 4. Meteor Strike 5. Buso Renkin preview 6. Haru ni Sakura 7. Yahiko no Sakabato (Haven't read the last two^^)
