Did the grass turn white or something? It looks weird.
Kazuki kept his eyes in a glare on the powdery snow in the meadows. He made a scrunched attempt at a pout at it, wondering where all the grass went. His older sister told him it was 'snow' but unlike his sister's keenness on the white land Kazuki just wanted it to leave as quick as possible. It was wet, cold and stuffed up his nose.
With a groan he plowed through the meadows, hoping to rid of the snow as soon as possible.

Rikaka who had been playfully rolling around in the snow, suddenly spotted a miserable looking green shikoku coming up the hill. "Hm?" As she cocked her head curiously, Her paws sunken in the snow, her bright purple eyes gazed curioously at the other shikoku. Was he not having some fun or something?
Her white pelt blended in well with the snow but her black stripes and purple wings stood out noticeably. With one more look, she bounded over to the other shikoku with a cheerful grin on her face. "Is there something wrong?" She asked, with genuine concern.
"Do you not like Snow?" She asked, her eyes turning sorrowful.

Kazuki's head quickly shot up startled at the new face. It was a female Shikoku, white, black and purple. He resisted a blush. If only it could be blamed on the cold winter winds but it wasn't. Kazuki was raised by his sister so being grown up by her he started to become more shy and bashful towards females. Katsumi said it was normal but he never thought of it that way.
He broke from his bashfulness with a quick sneeze and sniffled. "No. I feel damp, cold and I think I'm sick," he said with a few more sniffs, gently rubbing his nose.

"Aw. If you play around in the snow alot, or if your not used to the temperature.. That tends to happen." As she touched a paw to his forehead. He was geting awfully hot.. And his face was a little red. It must have been pretty bad. "Maybe we should go somewhere, where it's not as cold." She said brightly.
As she began to lead him off with an answer, she turned around adruptedly, "Oh yeah! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rikaka! Although you can call me Rika. I'm more used to that." She said, with a twinkle in her eye. She was more of a social shikoku and she loved to meet new people aka strangers. Tifa would always tell her, that she'd be kidnapped one day~ Psh. Like she didn't know that? She relished the adventure.
"Although I'll have to warn you. It's winter so there aren't too many warm places now." She said, with regrettable tone.

Kazuki sniffled again and started to blink. His eyes were being teary from the congestion. Just perfect. "Just take me somewhere that isn't so cold and I'll be grateful." He wondered how the girl could have such a good hearted attitude when he was dreading the weather and his condition. Perhaps her immune system was better.
"I'm Kazuki, just call me by that. It's nice to meet you Rika," he coughed afterwards, stumbling a bit on the ice forming snow. Oh how he loathed the winter season.

Slowing down her pace, She watched Kazuki carefully. "Kazuki, huh? That's a nice name." She nodded. "If you have such low standards, It probably won't be hard." As she let out a giggle. As she walked, her tail feathers were dragging across the snow.. But she didn't mind. She thought the snow was fun. If she had more time, She'd be playing in the snow forever.
Nonetheless, It would have been rude to just play, and ignore Kazuki. It wasn't in her nature to either. Her ears laid back, She pondered a thought before voicing it outloud. "If you don't like snow Kazuki.. Than how come you came here?" It didn't seem right, that someone would would particpate in an activity that they would dislike, or already knew they did.
With her straight-fowardness.. Hopefully, he didn't think of her as wierd or anything. Some other shikokus had thought her to be strange, when she could suddenly approach a stranger, and act like they were the best friend or other regardless of the gender, age, etc.
Honestly, she didn't feel the emotion of being awkward, but it wasn't like it was necessary. Life seemed to be much better without it, it seemed. Her sister ALWAYS seemed to be awkward.

Kazuki shuddered from the breezy arctic cold and started to go after Rika, making sure he didn't stumbled on his own paws. He needed to find a warmer place or he felt he would collapse.
He then heard Rika's voice again, inquiring a question and pondered weakly. Why did he come out here? His wooden shack by the beach wasn't incredibly warm but it felt much nicer over there. He then realized why he wasn't resting there peacefully. "Well my sister left a while ago...and don't laugh or anything but I'm scared to be alone," he shuddered uncomfortably. Why was he telling a total stranger, especially a girl, his fear of loneliness? Only his sister knew and he even had a hard time explaining his fear to her.

"With a startled look.. Kazuki seemed to be staggering a bit. With a worried look, she tried to hold him in place with her own body. He seemed to be REALLY cold.. Leading him to a sunny patch of grass with a few trees and plants.. She placed him against an apple tree for support.
As he spoke, some of his words surprised her. With a startled look, "Your sister left? That's terrible!" She couldn't imagine her sister Tifa ever leaving her.. She would die, if Tifa had left! But with the last part of his sentence, She felt a wave of familiarity wash over her. She could understand Kazuki's situation.. She also hated the fear of being alone.
But the thought of why others would laugh, puzzled her. That would have been cruel.. With a frown, "What's wrong with shikokus these days?" If they would have laugh down at another person.. To do that, It only made the victim feel smaller and the bully feel more powerful, when in reality, they weren't.
But she felt a happy and fluttering emotion at the same time. To confide such knowledge..! It made her feel quite trustworthy. It didn't occur to her, that it may have been something he might have said to anyone.

Kazuki sighed in both displeasure and pleasure. The pleasure of being somewhere warm made him happy but he was still uncomfortable with Rika around. Not because he didn't like her company but he was very shy to people first time he meets them. He didn't know why, because his sister was incredibly outgoing. Not as outgoing as Rika could be but she was still more social than him.
"Yea Katsumi left sometime at noon," he started, resting happily in the warm patch of land, that seemed untouched by the brutal winters. "She probably went off into the forest. Being alone at home felt uneasy since it was as quite as death," he shuddered at the thought of utter silence. It crept him out a bit.
He decided not to respond to Rika's last statement, unsure of what was wrong with them himself. It was confusing but maybe it related to being dominate in some sort of way.

Quiet as death? She didn't know what death was.. So she couldn't quite relate to that statement. But as she watched him.. He still seemed uncomfortable.. Was it awkward to have her around? Her bright purple eyes were slightly puzzled at the emotion still.
As soon as he got himself settled down, She peereed over him curiously, "I know, that I'm a total stranger.. But would you like me to stay with you..?" Her voice trailing off. She knew his fear of being alone.. But he might not have wanted her around.
Some shikokus were like that, she knew. Tifa certainly was, at times.

Kazuki noticed a change in emotion. She started to look different for some reason. It was easy for him to see that figuring her out wasn't as easy as learning of Katsumi. He sighed a bit, feeling more warmth wash over him.
"Can you stay?" He asked cautiously. The shikoku then realized that he might have been coming off as needy. Kazuki chuckled nervously and started again. "I mean, I don't want to be alone, so," he stopped abruptly. That was sounding more like a plea then a request!

With, her bright eyes lit up, something about Kazuki made her want to laugh, as a warm feeling washed over her. "It'll be my pleasure~" She said cheerfully.
As she settled herself down, after stretching out her limbs. They were tense from standing in the cold for so ong, but they had loosened up a little in the warm sun.
After she was done, She tried to make conversation. "You keep talking about your sister.. How is she like?" She wondered. He spoke of her fondly, but it didn't seem nice of her to leave Kazuki along, if she knew of his fear.. if she didn't know.. That'd be another story. But judging from Kazuki's tone of voice.. She didn't seem like a bad person otherwise.
But Rika always made too much assumptions, which usually led to a string of trouble.

He made a small smile. Though he didn't know Rika too well at all he was more than content to have her around. Even if it was a stranger with him he felt much better. It made him know that he wasn't the only existent being in the world. When ever he was alone he had made that assumption, and started to become scared of what would happen if no one was around. He could die and no one would ever find him or cry for him. It made him uneasy to think about it.
"My sister?" Kazuki quickly stated, thinking about a more intelligent response. What could he say about his sister? "Well her name is Katsumi and she's older than me by about a few months. We're blood related, seeing as we both has a small scent that our parents left over on us, but we're orphans. She's very kind but can be quite unaware of many things that a shikoku her age should be aware of," he sighed a bit, following a small smile, "but she's like a mother to me and I know we care about each other, despite small differences."

As he gave her a small smile, She returned a grin in return. It was always nice to do something good..
"Your orphans? I thought we came out of eggs?" As she gave him a confused look. (( This proved how stupid she really was )) But she had saw birds hatch out of eggs, and she always thought that shikokus did too~
"But your sister.. Katsumi sounds very nice. Maybe I'll encounter her on an adventure one day, as I go off to search for a dragon!" As she began to make paw gestures in the air, twirling around, before she tripped on a rock. Landing on her face.. "I see stars!" Her vision blurred, as bright lights danced before her.
In a few moments, her head had cleared before she began to get up. "Drats.. I did it again.." She muttered.
