Hey just thought I'd make a new topic since there hasn't been one in a while domokun Anyways, I've been wondering why Allah made women so weak and defenseless and men all big and powerful. Because of this, there are so many issues, especially related to sexism (I could've made the freakin' football team except I was a 'girl' and got rejected even tho I'm way better then the wussy guys in my school stare ) And what makes me really pissed off is that ppl see women as house maids. Seriously I know I'm thinking wrong but I just want an answer so I can finally clear my mind of this.

The way I see it, when Adam (p) was created, he felt incomplete, and he needed someone to complete him, so the woman was created for him.
Basically, suppose there were no genders, and we were all men or all women or all people, whatever. Why would we REALLY need the other person, when they basically have the same traits as us? It's like, it is our differences that make us need eachother.. and, a lot of times, it seems to me like men need our personality and company and the only reason we really need men is for reproduction and protection.. or maybe that's just for me. I really don't see much incentive besides that to get a man over a woman or something.
But, then again, everyone gets their own kind of tests. Men are, a lot of times, subjected to a lot of physical hardship in which they are expected to go into the army, they are expected to have a stable job and provide for their family where, for the woman, both cases are not expected of them, which I'm sure most of us can agree. As far as it is so far, there is no draft for women. Women get their own tests in that we were given less physical strength, not making us face the tests the men usually face unless we choose to take them on. We get the test of being looked down upon, we are put in this situation where we can only pass by becoming strong. It's harder for us to gain physical strength and muscle, it's harder for us to get jobs men get easily, that's our gender test.
And it's not like all girls are weaker than all guys or anything, but that's how it generally is. You not being able to make the football team sucks as hell, but that's a bunch of morons acting on generalities instead of specific cases. But that's your big test.. if you wanted, you could just have a free ride and marry a rich man and just raise a kid or two and call it a life, where men can't. You, however, want more than that, and you must fight for it. Kind of makes it all the more valuable to do things other than that.
But, in the end, it's like the verse goes, "I shall not lose sight of the labor of any of you who labors in my way, be it man or woman; each of you is equal to the other.” (3:195)
