Evening tusslesIanthe/azumiKearn/me----------------- kuro no kitsune (10:55:28 PM): Crickets, despite the on-coming chill, chirped and sang in the tall grasses that grew along the otherwise barren forest floor. The trees appeared bleached, the new moon shedding its silver light on their pale, naked bodies. Winter had long since set in and thus no leaves inhabited anything other that winter flowers or a couple bushes here and there.
'Ribbit…ribbit…rib-GAK' kuro no kitsune (10:55:36 PM): The frog's croaking was canceled when it was punted off the gray stone by a white-yellow paw. "Stupid creature…" hissed the maluess, her black eyes glinting in the light, a few blonde hairs falling over her face as she did so.
kuro no kitsune (10:55:36 PM): Lifting her head towards the clear sky, she resumed what she had been doing earlier; merely watching the moon in her own silence. This, and usually around sunset, was the only peaceful time of day she could find. All the other times were filled with the ignorant actions of the other ones of her kind, chittering and squaking. HEADACHE. Luv4kou (11:13:51 PM): Not too far away from the tortured frog, wide black paws were slowly shifting through the tall grass, brushed aside gracefully as he went along. His fur hide him almost completely in the night, though his smokey white markings were clear-and as he moved through the grace it was as if a spifit or a puff of animated smoke was drifting past. A spooky glow cam from his white eyes, though he kept them half-lidded, diming the light. His usual cold demeanor was livened by the knowledge that some poor creature, somewhere, was tossing and turning in it's sleep, moaning for release from some horrible nightmare.. This knowledge was what he lived for after all. Luv4kou (11:15:58 PM): His walking brought him closer to the female, but still not seen. He sniffed and frowned a bit, hearing the smooth feminine voice. Girls. he hated them. Though... they did scream the loudest at night. White teeth glinted as he crouched, stalking closer to the unexpecting maluess..kuro no kitsune (12:24:01 AM): Whatever lurked in the dark around her was unknown and uncared for. Her mind was open, yet unaware of anything except the sound of the wind rattling the empty branches above her, or tussling the grasses around her feet. She felt its cold touch graze face, eyelids, and nose, but when it touched her ears, they twitched… and her body froze.
kuro no kitsune (12:24:01 AM): There was a feeling that climbed her spine on little spider feet and it nestled at the base of her brain. Blinking, she snorted and then inhaled. The scent brought to her nose was familiar, yet musty and…dark. Ebon lanterns roved the surrounding area for whatever could be causing this.Luv4kou (12:29:20 AM): She wants that bad... She could sense him. He grinned wider, black gums holding the glistening teeth. So close now... almost in pouncing distance... He crouched low, thankful that the grass was long here.. Then boom! His muscles coiled and he bound up, jumping up beside her, eyes wide and glowing- looking blind and insane. He opened his mouth wide and roared at her, or growled, whatever Malus did best. But whatever the noise was most like, it was loud and ferocious.. It had scared the skin off of many malu girls and pups. kuro no kitsune (12:36:21 AM): Even though she would never fully admit it, the female jumped a few inches when the other landed next to her, and her heart probably did skip a beat or two. The attack had been un-thought of and quite sneaky. However… that growl… now that was a different matter. He had disturbed her quite, her peace and tranquility and that, my friends, wasn't a good thing to do. kuro no kitsune (12:36:28 AM): Eyes of total opposite hue glared back at the white orbs while muzzle opened, but emitted no scream or cry. Instead a dog-like snarl crawled up from her throat and brandished itself against her pearly teeth. kuro no kitsune (12:36:29 AM): The canine part of her species reacted quite fully and soon maw was wrinkled, ears were back, muscles were taught, and hackles were on end. This imposter… oh how he made such a mistake!Luv4kou (12:43:45 AM): His mouth continued to stay open as he stepped back and laughed, hysterically in an evil way. Oh what FUN it was to scare her! Though she hadnt screamed, she had jumped! That amused him enough.. but then... what? His laughing was quickly put to end when he heard her growl.. He blinked, once, then twice.. And looked down at her in all her ferocious glory. My my.. She.. wasnt scared of him? She was actually fighting back! His head tilted a bit, in bewildered amusement. If he felt threatened by her growling, then he didnt show it. In fact he just grinned wider. "Hmmm..."kuro no kitsune (12:47:52 AM): Head was still lowered slightly, her guard still up for the most part, the femme continued to stare the other one down. He though this was funny, did he?
"You will not be smiling much if you do not leave here this instant, I think." The threat came in an Icelandic accented voice, with its trilled R's and throaty vowels, silky and smooth, despite the snarling, and holding an underlying purr. Luv4kou (12:56:02 AM): Her voice.. It made him blink in suprise again. It was unusual and exotic... It made his ears twitch, and eyebrow rise. Never had he EVER been stood up too. Everyone had always ran away.. Or at least cowarded. His wicked grin remained, though it didnt seem quite as teasing and demeaning. "You know..." He sat down, tail flicking back and forth as his eyes became half lidded again, gaze moving up to the night sky. "I don't think so. I like it here." His voice was a contrast to her's- It was low and raspy and you could almost hear the ego oozing from his teeth. kuro no kitsune (1:01:57 AM): Ceasing her snarling, the female lifted her brows as he sat down, but quickly brought them back into something of a V. At his words, she only closed her eyes and snorted to the side. His words… they sounded like lies, but yet she couldn't resist giving a quick glance up at the sky when he did.
kuro no kitsune (1:01:58 AM): A small sigh escaped her maw as she brought her gaze back towards the ebon and ivory male. Ears flicked forward a little, muscles relaxing just a tad, she spoke again in that foreign voice. "I can hear falseness and self love falling from yourr own mouth. Why arre you herre and why won't you go?"Luv4kou (1:08:17 AM): "I'm here because I want to be here, and I'm staying because I want to stay. Nothing more." His muzzle stayed pointed upwards, though his pupilless eyes flicked down to look over her form. Hm, her body matched her voice. Amazing! He laughed again softly. "Or.. If you would rather.. I could write up a sonet or haiku about how lovely the night is, and how it delighted me so to scare the markings off of your pretty little paws. To see you startled out of your mind, with the merciless night as a backdrop.. Would that soothe your immense curiousity more?" kuro no kitsune (1:17:46 AM): His first sentence was about to get some sort of approval from the female… that is until he continued to talk more. kuro no kitsune (1:17:47 AM): Appalled by his comments of her being that scared, the female became irritated once more. Ears flattening, and hackles rising again in defense, she barked, "I did not jump that much norr was I scarred! If anything you werre the one bewildered by MY reply to your stupid frright fest!" As she had been speaking, the maluess had moved forward so that when she finished, her muzzle was mere centimeters from his. And so, in one ending action, she snorted right in his face with black eyes ablaze with silver moonlight. Luv4kou (1:23:05 AM): The skin on his muzzle wrinkled a bit in distaste when she snorted at him. Kid could stand to chew on some mint. "I admit I was suprised by your bravery. It was impressive..." His lip curled upwards into another grin. "Actually, you're the first one that's ever stood up to me.. And gotten so close to me, so willingly... Suprising for a scrawny girl." He closed the inches, pressing his nose to her's in a teasing little kiss. He couldnt resist. kuro no kitsune (1:24:08 AM): If it wasn't the words that made her do it, then it was that nose touching business. A split second after her brain registered what had been done, a snarl ripped through her vocals and with a flash her muzzle moved to snap at the other's maw. Luv4kou (1:28:25 AM): Eyes widdened a bit as teeth sunk deep into his skin. A small yelp escaped him, but was quickly replaced by a low dangerous growl. He raised onto his hind legs and bat at her, trying to push her off while he snapped at her wildly in return. kuro no kitsune (1:30:40 AM): The yelp sufficed and after a small graze from the batting, the female danced away from the wildly snapping male. Face wrinkled, she spoke in a hiss rather than a snarl this time around. "You may trry that on otherrs, but you may not trry that on me…" Luv4kou (1:33:36 AM): He crouched a bit, alot of gums showing as he snarled at her. She had pushed it alright.. some teasing and throwing words he could handle, but that had HURT! And he had pride.. He lounged at her, teeth bared and aimed at her neck. kuro no kitsune (1:38:02 AM): Eyes narrowed at his advancement, but rather than move to the side and doge the attack, she lunged at him as well. She felt her body smash into his with a good amount of force from both of them and as soon as able, there was a flurry of snapping jaws and gutteral snarls from her end. She aimed for the shoulder, the legs, the face, the eyes; anything that would hurt and give her some sort of advantage and would hinder him. Yes, she was smaller, and maybe she did look lean, but from where she originated from, this stuff happened daily by gods and goddesses, she wasn't going to fall that easily.Luv4kou (1:45:21 AM): He was rather skilled when it came to combat as well.. Having been in many fights over the years. Though.. he was once again impressed with her bravery. If one of their throats wasnt torn out, he'd have to stalk her a bit perhaps. He matched her biting and thrashing, putting about an equal amount of damage onto her. He was able to evade some of her attacks, but there was the occasional sting of skin being perced... He was able to ignore the pain for now, only concentrating on trying to win.kuro no kitsune (1:51:52 AM): The female could feel a pain in one of her haunches as she moved and snapped at the male again. Feeling the hot, thick, blood sticking to her indigo pelt, she already knew what she had to do. kuro no kitsune (1:51:56 AM): She broke away and landed some feet to the side. Panting, she held her head lower to the ground and watched him closely. This fight wasn't worth it. She was already injured and becoming more so wouldn't help her in the slightest. For this she still didn't consider herself weak for one who knew fighting also knew when to say "stop."
kuro no kitsune (1:51:56 AM): Lifting her skull, her ears slid forward atop her head and her tail lowered in the signal of "enough." She flipped her tussled hair from her face and tilted her chin upwards so she could look at him down the bridge of her scratched maw. With half lidded eyes and a small smirk, she asked, "wuht is yourr name?" Luv4kou (1:59:45 AM): He stood strait as she jumped back, mouth gaping a bit as he panted. He had several small bite marks on his shoulder and neck, not nothing too bad.. Though he could feel hot blood dripping down his chest, turning the white cresent moon to a deep red. Yes... He was indeed impressed. His grin returned, even if he was in a bit of pain. "Kearn... What's yours, doll...?" In a small way he was thankful she had backed down... Cause he sure wasnt. And he didnt really like murdering people.. Torturing was fine, but killing as a bit out of his taste. And he hated to admit that she might have even killed him... ..Maybe. Possibly. He.. had a headache tonight. Sure, that was it. kuro no kitsune (2:05:23 AM): Kearn. …Huh.
"My name is Ianthe," she replied. Eyes looked at him and watched his white markings become crimson.
"I got you, I think," she commented, thrusting her muzzle to his blood stained pelt. She was sure she didn't look all that nice now either, but whatever. Luv4kou (2:09:42 AM): He grunted a bit as she called attention to his fur. "Whatever... You look like raw meat turned over too.. Ianthe..." He grinned, then turned, flicking his tail a bit. "I'll see ya some other night.." It didnt sound like a suggestion or off hand comment.. He seemed sure as he trotted off into the tall grass again to head home and tend to his wound, once again only the whispy white markings showing.. and then nothing. He was gone like real smoke.. until another time. Ianthe only gave a little chuckle at Kearn's departing back. Oh, they would definitely run into each other some time, she was sure of that.
With a twitch of her tail, the sunset hued maluess turned around and made her way off towards the deeper parts of the river, limping slightly as she went.---------------------------------------------------------------------- A Dangerous Rose and The King of FearIanthe/azumiKearn/me ---------------- Deep in the dark hallways and turns of the lower temple, the loud echoing sound of hooves on stone could be heard, rushed and excited. Kearne's tail flicked back and forth excitedly as he drug a rotting corpse down into the depths of the temple, towards an empty room that he had apparently claimed for himself. A nice little nook to help him worship his God. Though he had just started coming to the temple, he knew that this was where he belonged... Where his God had influence. Everything about this place sceamed Nightmares! It made him so excited, his legs were shaking as he continued to move the lifeless body The scent of blood mixed itself with the musty air of the underground labyrinth and was carried heavily around rock and stone. So thick it was, in fact, that the smell tingled the female's nose some several hundred feet away, even when separated by walls and rooms.
Twitching a tall ear and lifting her head from white yellow paws, hair skewed her vision as she blinked around her “home”. Already she knew what the smell was, and she knew that someone had just dragged it in, but the question standing was “who?”
Well, curiosity… of perhaps the morbid sort… over took her and folding her wings over her back, she wiggled out through the tiny hole in her quarters that led into the maze of passages that made up the catacomb-like area under the temple.
Following her nose, she wound left and right, over rubble and whatever else lay in her path. It didn’t take long to cover the distance between her home and the blood-scented thing. Rounding a corner, she caught sight of a carcass being dragged by…him…
An annoyed look crossed her face as she just stood there, glaring at the male she had met a few days past.
The morbid malu didnt seem to notice her as she came around the corner, too involved in his precious work.. He turned into his room, dragging the poor dead thing into the center of the room, where there were a few others pilled there.. In truth, he hadn't killed any of them. They were the left overs from his new friend.. the Malu known as Aion. He had watched him kill and decorate his own shrine the past few days, so he had merely stole the decaying bodies from his pile outside the eviler malu's door. He then started to work of stripping the flesh from the bodies, only leaving the bones. After all, if he left all the wet parts... it'd stink too badly to even worship at all in here Watching Kearn move off with carcass in tow, Ianthe debated on whether or not to follow. She was curious, but if another brawl between them broke out, she wouldn’t be able to hold long. The gash from their last tiff had yet to fully heal and thus she was still moving with some sort of limp.
Oh to hell with it. If they fought, she’d give a few then break apart like last time.
In a silent, uneven creep, the sunset follower moved after the male. Ebon eyes caught the legs of the carcass disappear around a corner, but when she got there, she realized it wasn’t a corner into another hall at all. It was a room and sort of like her own. …Actually, no, scratch that, it was nothing like her’s. Her’s was BETTER.
Blonde haired skull peeked around the corner, though ears had already heard what the other was doing inside. She watched as flesh was stripped from bone, tendons and muscle snapping, as they were broken and fluids leaking out onto the floor. This…well, it didn’t do anything for her but add to some curiosity. She wasn’t into death as this one seemed to be…
Taking a gutsy move, Ianthe slinked around the corner and moved along the walls, black eyes glinting from some unknown light source. “Rrdecorrating?” She asked in that purring voice.
He almost jumped, looking up quickly with startled eyes.. Wow, he had really been into his work.. But when he recognized the female in the dim light he grinned widely, exactly as he had the other night, ears twitching back. "I suppose you could say that.." He snickered, tossing a clean leg bone over into the corner, a pile of green flesh forming in front of him. Yea, it was gross. But he didn't mind gross... And anything to create a nightmareish setting, where he could torture and scare victims in the name of his precious God. "He grabbed a skull, fur still clinging to it in some places, raising it and giving it a shake in her direaction, causing the jaw to move up and down.. A sick, morbid puppet. "This... doesnt scare you...?" Again, he was impressed that she hadn't screamed and ran away.. Or at least look sick. Ianthe only rolled black orbs at the jaw-flopping skull as she straightened herself and stepped away from the wall. Eyes looked to the pile of ageing flesh, as she moved as if half-heartedly circling the room, while she answered the asked question. “No. Blood, corpses, death; it brings no fear, that.”"Hmm..." He shrugged a bit and started picking the dried skin and fur from teh skull, then tossed it over to the other bones. "What does scare you then...?" His white, blind looking, eyes glanced up at her as she circled, watching her closely for any change in her reactions. This female truly was something else..."Perhaps something more cute? Would you scream at the sight of a mouse or spider?" The female had to give a chuckle to that. “What I fearr is something you will neverr find out about, I think; I will neverr tell you.” She glanced up at the male, a curled smirk on her muzzle.
Coming to the corner with the bones, their pile steadily growing, she pawed gingerly at one and sniffed at its pinkend surface. “And what is it that you fearr?” She asked as she poked around the pile a bit more.He watched her closely as she blew off the question.. Well, he wasn't expecting her to tell him anyway... He made a silent promise that someday... he would know what made her squirm late at night. Well, squirm in fear. The unrelated thought made him snicker for a moment, before he pushed the thoughts aside. "Hmm..." He pondered for a moment, turning back to his work, peeling, clawing, cleaning.. "Well.. I suppose the one thing that comes to mind... Is not being of any use. For some day, after all the work I've done... My god, my idol, will look upon me in anger, and turn his back on me. For all of my life and motives to be a waste." Ianthe looked up at him as he spoke. He actually gave her an answer? That alone surprised her.
Blinking, she pushed back a bone she had been fiddling with and moved closer to the pile of rotting flesh, head lowered as she smelled at it as she moved and spoke. “Fearr of being useless…” she raised her brows and nodded to herself in some personal agreement before going on, “a most likely outcome forr those who follow gods of…this.” Ianthe nodded towards the pile.He hid a grin, turned away from her as he heard her get closer.. Yes, right into his coils. He tossed another bone into the pile, looking over his shoulder at her as he did, his grin not looking as sinister. "Yes.. well... I try not to think about it too much. If I did, then every time I make someone scream.. I'd have doubts, and regrets. Noo way to live. Nope." He chuckled and pulled a rather wet piece away, sniffing it and tossing it away. "Not that I dont enjoy it..." Lanterns watched, or at least one did, for the other was now hidden behind her hair, as the male went around his business. He was… odd, and seemed to like to do these sinister things, but well, could one really live when they knew that what they were doing would only be smiled upon for only a certain period of time? That was something Ianthe never had to worry about. Her Goddess understood her and she understood her Goddess; they would be together as long as each of them was loyal.
Pondering her question, she started moving again so that his front side was what she was looking at rather than his backside. “I have no doubt… but, how arre you able to follow a god that will not forreverr be loyal to you as you arre to ‘im; one that will spit you out when the time is rright? You say you don’t think about it much, but yourr’rre still awarre of the whole thing, are you not?”
His sharpened front claws scrapped against the bone he was working on, his grin fading slightly, his lip twitching in slight annoyance. He regreted saying anything about that, even though it had sparked more interesting for her. He had hoped she would just drop it, but she was obviously too stubborn. He pondered whacking her across the head with the bone and tieing her up, never to be seen again. But then he'd never be able to scare her... His white florescent eyes moved up to her, looking face to face now. Eyelids fell, staring at her for a few moments coldly. "If I wasn't aware of it I wouldnt have said it, would I?" His voice seemed a bit.. tense. His muzzle tilted away, a slight frown crossing it. "This is just what I do. I can't do anything else." Ianthe tilted her head side to side in some sort of little shake as she gave an “hmmhmmhmm” chuckle with a half of a Cheshire smirk on her lips. She noted the last sentence he said though, but kept comments to herself.
“So easy to make you upset,” she commented and moved away from him and back to the pile of bones. Oh she had a feeling he’d probably throw something at her…oh well, she was close to that “ammunition” pile to quickly punt something back. His lip curled upwards a bit, a low grow echoing through the room. And of course, he did throw a curved rib bone at her, though it could have easily been aimed at the pile.. "I'm not upset. I'm... annoyed." He huffed and turned back to his work, his back once against to her. "What are you doing down here anyway..? Do you also worship in these depths?" Stupid question... The way she had talked.. as if she was better then him.. As if any god could be as entertaining. "Ah. Nevermind.. Let me guess... You prefer to dance around roses and perfume, yes? A rose would fit you. A person stares at it's beautify and perfection, but then they realize it's covered with thorns, nothing but a cruel weed with a magnificent mask." The maluess only laughed once more. “Touché (sp?),” she replied, before deciding to answer his earlier question even though he had dismissed it personally. “I am down herre because, yes, this is werre I worrship my own god, howeverr, I am right HERRE, because yourr bloody mess arroused my curiosity,” her words purred and trilled. She was definitely having fun with this one.
“But if you’d like me to, I could dance arround yours carrscasses and theirr rrancid scent. I’m surre the actions would only gain a stronger something forr me and my Goddess while whatever you do will only carry you so farr with yours.”
His teeth clenched a bit, not turning to look at her for a moment. "My God will be pleased once this shrine is decorated and frightening enough. I'm content in my work for now." The malu smirked and looked over to her. "You're more then welcome to dance if you like.. I certainly wouldn't mind the show... Even if a rose is too sharp to touch, it's still nice to stare at." His white orbs danced over her slender frame for a moment, pondering to himself what she would look like while dancing and prancing, muscles coiling and uncoiling quickly. Towards the comment, Ianthe gave only a smirk and an “hmph” on the outside, but inside she gave a quick snap. She allowed herself to be restrained and calm, while Kearn was the more annoyed one, this time around. He hadn’t invaded her work, but she had invaded his, and that made all the difference.
“Sorry, but I am not the dancerr. You’d like it too much, I think.” That and she couldn’t move properly at the time being, given her leg... not like she’d dance for him in the first place.
Flicking her tail, she added on a question that suddenly came to mind. “You’rre going to make this place look like that other shrine, are you not?”
"Yea... I would like that." He almost pouted, then chuckled and tossed a couple more clean bones into the pile. The bad thoughts that had danced through his mind had cheered him up a bit. A bit.. His ear twitched to the side as he blinked at her. "What other shrine?" Again she snapped inwardly, but only relayed another smug smirk for the outside world to see.
“Do not play dumb. It looks bad on your parrt.” She knew he knew.
"Aion's?" Again he tilted his head. "If so... no... His has blood paw prints all over the walls. Mine's going to be much more.. three-dimensional." “Same concept idea,” she replied. “I hope it has nothing to do with that foul flesh…”
He huffed again as she insulted his work. "It's not the same... Mine's going to be much more frightening... You'll just have to see.. I'll show you when it's done, and you'll think it's amazing." He tossed another bone and sighed softly, frowning at the pile of gore. "No, I'm not going to use it. Just the bones. Rotting flesh would just stink and eventually rot away... Too muchg work." “Will I now? We’ll see.” He would actually go find her and show her when it’s done? Interesting….Actually, it sort of confused her, since they seemed to dislike each other so. But, if he asked her to come, she would.
“You could always use the hides. Drry them outside? They would not smell afterr that.”
He was still as he blinked at the rotting pile. Well what do you know... That was actually a good idea.. He pondered for a moment if he would admit that.. But if he did use it, she'd know she was right anyway. The small nub of a tail flicked a bit and his head nodded a slowly. "I suppose I could do that..." A paw rose to rub against under his chin, thinking as he glanced around. A few new decorating ideas came to him, and his white eyes widdened a bit at the visual. It'd be positively lovely! A cruel grin played across his mouth as he imagined all the fun he could have in the name of his beloved God. Ianthe gave herself a self-satisfying smirk when her idea was taken into use. She could’ve sworn she watched a giddy air rise about the male as he grinned to himself, and so, she moved towards the entranceway in her slight hobbling gait.
“Seeing as I’ve sparrked something, I’ll finally leave you to yourr worrk,” she said as she moved, but when she was halfway out the doorway, she looked over her shoulder. “But do rrememberr, when you get rrid of those carcasses, make surre they’rre taken farr, farr, farr, away. I don’t like theirr scent.”
He watched her as she moved to leave, grinning a bit to himself. "I'll make sure it smells nice and rosey when you return..." Once again, another promise that he'd see her again.. He laughed softly then turned back to his work, stripping with a bit more giddyness. He'd have to scrub the floor, just to make sure none of the luid left a bad smell. “Just what I expect, that,” she replied and then turned the corner, her body melding with the shadows and blood laden air. She’d wait patiently for his calling and “open house”, and it had better be good when she got there, otherwise she’d be incredibly disappointed…---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fears Revealed After SunsetKearn/Me azumi/Ianthe It was that time again; the time when a hush seemed to fall over the majority of the temple when the sun was just about to disappear behind the horizon. Above, the clouds were shredded with pinks, oranges, and gold, and the blues and purples of night were quickly encroaching on them. A star could already be seen, and another, and another; like cells, they were increasing rapidly in numbers.
From the top of the stairs, ones that led into the desert beyond the oasis, sat the indigo and white yellow female. Her head was level with the setting sun as it threw out its last rays even though its body could no longer be seen. Her tufted tail and the markings along her back, as well as the ones that covered her forepaws and back hooves, seemed to glow lightly in the dying light.
All was calm. All was quite. All was…almost perfect. And of course, this peaceful view had to be broken! That was Kearn's job after all, to break peace. Kearn came into view from the side of the temple, walking backwards and dragging a long piece of skin, dried and sewn together in front of him. His tail wagged excitedly as he went, happy to have been working on his shrine the whole day. Something alerted Ianthe and made her ears twitch.
Breaking her gaze from the horizon, where the last of the sun's rays were practically out, she looked over her shoulder and noticed a growingly familiar being. "Kearrn?" She questioned loudly in her foreign voice. A brow rose as she watched his odd movements, not having seen the pelt yet.
"What arre you doing?"He blinked, pausing in his dragging to twitch his ears and glance over his shoulder at the female. Dried hide was still hanging from his mouth as his lips curled in a wide smirk. He let it drop to the desert sand then turned to her. "I'm just working, doll... Taking your advice. Arent you pleased?" His held tilted a bit, looking over her slowly.. and actually looking... His jaw fell open a tad, seeing how the setting sun seemed to make her glow.. she was radiant. Beautiful. Sure, he had noticed her slender curves and smooth fur before, but not this kind of beauty. It made him weak in the knees in a way that only scaring people had done before... "Depends on how it is carried out." She smirked, but as she watched him, it shrank a bit. A brow rose again and a smug look fell over her face.
"If you'rre going to look at me, look at my face and keep yourr mouth closed. You'rre drooling…" Black eyes blinked up at him with just a flicker of annoyance hidden behind them.If malu could blush, he'd be scarlet. His ears flattened and he glanced away, huffing. "I can't help it. You look nice..." He turned quickly and grabbed up his skin again, dragging it up the stairs. He was eager to get some distance between the two.. He didnt like it when she had so mcuh power over him... When he didnt know what to say or do. Looking slightly bewildered, Ianthe looked from the place where kearn had been, and then to where he was moving off too. Ooooooooooooooh, she hit something! That comment, that look, that reaction…was he…? The female took a second to ponder it, but well…naaaaaaaaaaaah. However, she couldn't let him just walk off.
The female quickly got to her feet and moved up the stairs after her. He was still totally in view since it seemed the pelt was greatly slowing him down.
"You idiot, werre arre you stalking off to now?" She called to him even though she was merely several feet behind and gaining ground quite quickly. He glared at her a bit, but only quickly, glancing away again. "I'm going to my shrine.." Though the words were a bit muffled and grumbled together, the skin still clenched between his teeth. This girl just didnt let up! He had been caught off guard, he didnt have a plan.. SO he just needed to get away. He walked backwards quicker, which ended up with him just cliding into a pillar, making him yelp slightly as his behind got a good whacking. Ianthe blinked…and then burst out laughing. Her head lowered almost to the floor, hair falling over her face, as she let out her purring laughter. "You just-! That was-!" she couldn't finish a sentence. It was just THAT good.He growled, the hide grinding between his sharp teeth. He was humiliated yet again! Gah! "Just.. shut up! Stop laughing at me!" He stepps forward enough to get his barings, then went on again, heading down the stair ways to the lower levels of the temple, grumbling under his breath and ears flattened against his head, embrassed. She lifted her head, hair all over, as he yelled at her. She was still laughing when she watched him stalk off. "Oooh hoo ooh." She gave a chuckling coo and tilted her head. Might as well follow!
"I've embarrassed the great follower of the un-loyal fear-wreaking god, I think." He voice echoed off the stone as she trailed a few feet behind. A small giggle was emitted now and then, but her laughter seemed to mainly hold itself on her wordsAt the last comment he quickly dropped the skin, turning to step up the steps to her, teeth bared. Dont know what to do? Do the default emotion. Anger. "What the hell do you know!? Stop judging me because my god isnt as pretty as yours! I do my best to be faithful, and I'm happy with that! Stop treating me like I'm wasting my life by doing what I think is right and best for me! Why dont you just go back to your pretty roses where you belong!" Ears flattened back against her skull and brows knitted themselves into something like a V. His yelling was unnecessary, this was only fun…however, his words did sting, and they hit a nerve that sent Ianthe into the anger emotion as well.
"What the hell do I know?! What the hell do YOU know?! You know nothing of me or my Goddess, ####, you don't even know what I follow! I judge you because I've been there; I've once followed a God that had the same lack of loyalty and mind set that didn't deserrve followers at all! It destrroyed my life and everrything that I knew. So don't you ever darre accuse me of judging you about something I know nothing about, because I surre as hell know morre about it than you EVERR will." She snarled and snapped, pain and rage burning strong behind her coal black eyes.He growled louder, razor teeth sparkling in the dim light. "So what!? Are you trying to save me?? Do I seem that pathetic to you!? I'm sorry I dont live up to your incredible expectations! I dont care if you hated your life before, but I like mine!" Her teeth glittered right back.
"That is exactly what I'm trying to do! You've asked me what I fearr most," she moved closer to him, her nose literally millimeters from his, "so here it is.
I fear having others fall into the same pit that my entire clan fell into. I fear watching them become deceived by their own GOD. I'm not trying to sound or be heroic. I don't carre if someone kills anotherr, tricks anotherr, scarres another; I wouldn't carre if you were murrderred or wounded, plagued by sickness orr grief. None of that matters to me JUST as long as it is malu to malu. But when a God, or goddess, is the one doing the deceiving and causing ones to stray down the rroad I've been down, I WILL go afterr them, even if it is some a** like yourrself."His lip fell back into place, and he just stared at her for several long moments, blinking slowly. He knew.. He knew her biggest fear. The malu always felt like someone's biggest fear was something personal... In a sick way he knew them, they were.. closer. Even if he was trying to hurt them. He was honestly suprised that she had just told him.. Usually with strong people such as herself you had to pretty much beat or manipulate it out of them. He held an odd expression on his face, not really a frown.. but not really happy either. "I'll be fine, doll... really. " Again he pushed his nose to her's, like the first time they had met.. It amused him. Made him feel better. "Let's not yell anymore. My ears hurt." At the nose touching, Ianthe stopped snarling and her face went almost placid for a second…a very SHORT second. She didn't snap at him this time, but she did pull away quickly and glare. She didn't believe he'd be "fine", but she agreed on the no more yelling part.
"Yourr earrs hurt, just from my yelling? Mine hurrt just frrom yourr talking…" she said, accusingly. She was of course joking, though she definitely wasn't showing humor at the moment. He chuckled lightly, stepping back to his skin. "Yet you still stick around to hear me talk.. Oh, wait.. it's just part of your grand mission..." He glanced over his shoulder at her and grinned. "It's nice to know you care about me. If you completely hated me you wouldnt try to save me, even if it was your biggest fear. I'm honored.. Do you think about me, late at night, pondering over how my life is so tragic..? You could comfort me.. if you want.." He laughed again, a bit louder, then scooped up the skin in his mouth and continued on his way. "I ponderr overr how farr yourr head is up yourr a**. Besides, you'd like it too much, that." The last bit was a comment on the latter.
Snorting, she turned to head towards her own "home", but like she seemed to have the habit of doing, she gave a parting word. "That damned shrrine of yourrs betterr be rready soon. I don't like waiting." With that she moved down the corridors, one hear flicked backwards to catch his reply, if any at all."Of course, doll... Of course." He mumbled, pausing and dropping the skin long enough to reply. "I'll fetch you tomarrow, after sunset." Again he laughed, then continued on his journey to his morbid home, tail flicking back and forth happily. All and all... a good night.

The eerie peace of the lower temple was broken as Kearn ran through it's hallways, hooves and claws clicking and clanking against stone as he rushed upwards. His tail twitched back and forth happily, his legs shaking with excitement. It was finally done! His masterpiece! It was wonderful... Frightening! And now was finally the time that he could show it off to the one female that made it all worth it. She'd love it. She'd be in awe and dote on how wonderful and creative he is.. Surely. Who wouldn’t?
Outside, away from the dark and stone of the catacombs below the temple, Ianthe was situated in her usually spot at the top of the stairs at the edge of the oasis where grass and rock met sand. To the west, stretched across the bumpy horizon of sand dunes, the sun stretched and shot out its dying rays. The sky above was already starting to twinkle with early stars and the very few clouds floating by were bleeding red and pink
The female let herself fall lazily onto her side, forelegs stretched out to the side. With ebon eyes, she watched the failing light, hair falling over her face and an ear twitching half-heartedly. Peace…so peaceful.
The excited male came bounding out of the temple and onto the stairs, sniffing and glancing around quickly, his ears perked for any sign of her. Aha! There she was, just over on the other side of the stairwell... He smirked then moved to walk over to her, but paused to look at his warped reflection on the polished marble wall. He licked his paw and smoothed it over his muzzle and head, making the fur sleek and flat. He grinned widely, and then headed over to her again. "Good evening.."
The maluess lifted her head a bit and looked over her shoulder, but she remained in her lounging position. Seeing who it was, she rose a brow beneath her golden hair and flicked her yellow and blush hued tail.
“Kearrn…” she replied in a rather calm purr. Black eyes looked over his dark form, a small, unseen shiver running up her spine. It was, however, cut short when she folded her wings close to her back.
“Something…wrrong?” she asked. He wasn’t even that close and she could see him shivering with some sort of…well, something.
"No no no.... Nothing at all.." His smirk merely widened as her trotted closer until he was rather close to her, head tilted to look down upon her, paws caressing stone, tail twitching. "Though I'm simply delighted to know that you're worried about me.. Ianthe.."
Heart sped up a few paces due to the distance now between them, but like the shiver, Ianthe didn’t let it be known to anyone but herself. Putting on her usual attitude, she rolled her eyes and let her head fall back down. She mumbled something, but the words were just mush to another’s ears.
"Mmm... You're looking ravishing, as always. The sunset makes you look simply... Stunning." He lowered his muzzle, his voice getting softer as it got closer to her ear. Why was he feeling so... bold? Perhaps it was the adrenaline he felt coursing through him. He knew his god was pleased with him by finishing the shrine.. He had even scared one or two people already. Even if the satisfaction was only temporary, it elevated his soul to a wonderful place, where he could do no wrong. Before the tip of his muzzle could touch her, her jerked back and stepped backwards, lowering his chest to the ground, hind legs strait in an amusing pose that most people only saw pups do, tail wagging. He grinned again. "But we can't waste time, it's finished!"
His breath and words still lingered in her ear even after he moved back. Ianthe dared not to move for a few seconds, even after the proclamation of Kearn’s shrine being complete. What he had just done was something that normally would’ve caused the female’s blood to boil, but this time it only made her heart flutter. What was this blasted feeling?!
Ianthe still didn’t move; didn't give any hint of even hearing what the other had just said.
A bit of disappointment fluttered across him. She hadn't even looked at all interested! Slowly his front legs coiled back up strait, looming over her again. He blinked slowly, almost looking mad for a few moments, then huffed impatiently. He moved closer again and tilted his head at her, ears flattening along his broad neck. "What? Are you ignoring me completely now? How mature.."
The female startled this time, a rare action for her body to complete. Lifting her head, she quirked a brow and narrowed her eyes and barked, “I’m coming. Lorrd, you’rre impatient.” She rolled onto her stomach and then lifted her body onto her feet, all before giving a good shake to rid her fur of sand and dirt.
“Well,” she started, looking at him, “lead the way, Mrr. Navigatorr who is so rrude.”
His eagerness quickly returned as she stood, tail wagging again and he chuckled. “Well then hurry up, babe." As he walked past her he smirked, letting the fur on his side brush against her's. And then he was off, trotting back to the entrance of the catacombs, then disappearing in it's depths without warning.
Ianthe froze for a second while he brushed against her and then bristled. She only began to move again when his form was swallowed by the shadows of the temple entrance.
Catching up was not a problem; she caught sight of him just as he rounded the first corner in the catacombs. “This betterr be good, Kearrn. You made me move beforre the sun was completely gone…” she stated bitterly as she followed close behind him.
He slowed down a tad, weaving around the isles of the maze. When she started up her conversation he paused and glanced over her, grinning. "Sorry.. But I think you'll like it.. And if you don't, we can run back up and watch the rest of the sun set together or something." He turned his head back in front of him, white eyes glowing in the darkness, almost like headlights, aluminatind the smokey markings on his torso, seeming like a ghost floating beside her. A happy ghost. Like Casper, but crazier.
She gave side-glance at him as he spoke… but the glance then turned to an all out, complete, side-stare. Ianthe hadn’t noticed the way his body seemed to melt away in the shadows, leaving only the ivory markings to float around. It was quite eerie, but evoked no fear, and only interest and that cursed flutter feeling that made her insides feel like they were going to fall out her mouth.
On silent paws, with hooves giving light clips, she continued to follow, she stare…candidly, of course.
The staring went unnoticed to him, only concerned with his precious work of art, and showing it off. After a few more minutes they arrived, pausing a few feet from the door. He turned to her with a grin. "Ready?" From the entry way in front of him came a soft eerie green glow, along with flickering shadows, as if there were things inside there.. things alive and moving.
Charcoal eyes broke from Kearn’s body and attached themselves to the room with the flicking green glow. After only a few seconds, she flared her nostrils and merely stated, “commence yourr magic, maestrro.”
He grinned, hooves clicking against the stone as he trotted in place for a moment, then on he went through the doorway, pausing just inside for her to come in.. So he could see her expression. He wanted to see if she was pleased after all... The doorway was lined with bleach cleaned skulls and bones, creating a marvelous gateway. The walls of the room were draped with the skins of victims; some pieces were obviously peeled from the heads of poor malu's, double holes morbidly staring at the two where their eyes would have been. At the far end of the room was an altar built up out of bones and stone, on the wall above it was a painting, the paint crudely made with glowing moss, so that it glowed eerily with that green florescent ness. In the center of the art was a crescent moon, with what looked like skeletons dancing around it, bowing to it. It looked like some cave man painting. Interesting in a way, but primitive
From the cracks in the ceiling hung various bones that had been tied together to create random limbs, or perhaps a skull tied to a set of ribs.. They dangled and swayed to the rhythm of some unheard music. Each piñata like corpse which held a skull had a crescent moon painted on it's forehead with the same glowing paint. But the most interesting thing in the room- and the thing that had obviously taken most time, were the dozens of dream catchers that hung along with the bodies. The frames were made from small, thin bones, the thread that weaved around them made from hide and hair. Teeth were used as beads, and each had a bit of moss as well, making it seem that they really did hold the nightmares of the victims that happened to stray inside.. And on the altar, propped against the wall under the painting sat a much large one that seemed to emit it's own light. It was like the others.. But... Darker. The hanging decorations draped sick, long shadows over the floor... Like demons themselves. Ianthe entered the room next to Kearn, but was gone from his side a second later. Carrying herself on light steps, she moved slowly, gingerly, along the nearest wall. Head moved up and down slowly as eyes flicked to each artifact. She studied the pelts, their eye sockets as dark as her own actual eyes; she studied the bleached bones and skulls, noting the crescent moons on their temples. From wall to wall she moved, her lithe body and folded wings being danced upon by the glowing emerald light.
When she came to the altar, she paused, and tilted back her head. A light snort was given to the shrine itself, for no matter how stunning the room looked, she would never let a flicker of “like” for Kearn’s God enter her body. But, aside from that, she silently grabbed hold of everything she saw and marveled at it.
On and on she went, never really casting a glance back at Kearn, and never looking up or to the center of the room until she was finished with the walls… and well, by the time she got there, it had already been many minutes.
Standing in the middle of the room, eyes reflecting the bouncing lights, Ianthe really looked up at the ceiling for the first time, and the hanging things she saw really did catch her breath. No, it wasn’t the hanging bones and body parts, but the dream catchers. They caught and roped her attention like a child when they first saw the vast outdoors after being in a den for so long.
Blinking, nostrils flared and ears perked forward as much as possible. Tail was raised and wings were erect as the female tilted her head. Her black lanterns were fixed on one catcher in particular, and out of a sudden impulse just to get closer (the larger dream catcher hadn’t caught her interest), the femme pushed the front half of her body off the ground and she stood their, balanced on her hind hooves, for a few seconds. Neck was stretched, and head was craned, as nostrils flared and sniffed. The item was just so…well, it was something, and that something fascinated the maluess so that even when she lowered herself, she continued to look up at it, almost unblinkingly.
He watched her silently, barely able to contain the excitement as she gazed around at the shrine.. He could tell she liked it, if even a little... His head tilted a bit as she stood to observe the small 'nightmare catcher', watching her for several moments before walking over to her, eyes flowing over her body slowly then up to the particular item. Had this one caught her fear? His white eyes drifted back to her, one ear tilted to the side as he awaited an audible response. "You like it?
The female spared him a flick of an ear and a quick glance before looking back up at the nightmare catcher. “Yes…” she replied, but her voice was hushed. She didn’t know why it was so, but she felt that she had to just talk quietly in here for a bit.
He smiled, not a grin or a smirk, but a happy smile. His voice hushed to match her's, and he moved a bit closer to her. "I can get that one, if you want.. You can keep it."
Ianthe looked at him suddenly. Her ears flicked back just slightly, and her eyes widened just so. “I couldn’t do that,” she said, her voice dry, but still containing that underlying purr. It wasn’t like she didn’t want the thing, because she really did, and it wasn’t because it was apart of a shrine to a God she hated, that had nothing to do with it, but the reason she replied the way she did was because well…it was his. Even though he was giving it to her, it didn’t feel right; she had never been able to really take or accept something that once belonged to someone else when it was offered to her. Stealing was totally different…
His smile drooped a bit, ears wilting. "Why not?" His expression suddenly turned sour, almost annoyed. "Oh, I get it. It's cause it was originally made for my God..? It's tainted to you.. Not good enough... Right?" His reasoning made perfect sense to him, he couldnt imagine it being anything else.. His eyes narrowed a bit as he awaited some form of explanation.
Ears flattened, and eyes narrowed, at him for at least the second time that day, but this time she didn’t bark or snap. She didn’t even raise her voice. No. Ianthe was in a…very calm being at the moment, and they were sometimes hard to come out of.. Believe it or not.
“That’s not it at all, Kearrn. If that was the rreason I wouldn’t have said I liked it.”
He hadn’t thought of that. He winced a bit and his posture slumped, legs bending slightly. "Then why wont you take it? I'd like for you to have it."
“Because you’rre offerring it to me…” she said, her features softening.
White orbs slid diagonal as he tilted his head at her, looking confused. "That doesn’t make any sense..."
“Does anything ever do? I can’t take things that arre offerred to me; when someone gives me a choice to rreject it or not.” She tilted her own head, hair falling partially over her face.
"...If... it would make you feel better... You could snatch it yourself while I turn away. I promise to pretend that I don’t know you took it."
Ianthe chuckled and purred, “perhaps I will one day, when you’rre rreally not expecting it.”
"Or perhaps I'll just sneak it into your shrine and hide it, so that you'll keep it without even realizing.." He grinned a bit, his previous mood slowly returning.
She laughed again, eyes becoming half-lidded. “Now therre’s an idea,” she replied, her usual self coming back slowly.
He smiled lopsidedly at her for a moment, and then glanced around slowly. "So... all and all... Does it meet your expectations?"
Ianthe gave another look around the room, her eyes quickly glancing here and there, and then up and down. “I believe it does… Betterr than I thought it would be. I wonderr how you got it all done without me hearing, or seeing, most of it.”
He blinked at her oddly. "Not hearing or seeing?"
“Both.” "Oh..." He shrugged a bit. "Guess I was just sneaky." He smirked widely, chest broadening as he puffed it out. "Just a couple long sleepless nights... Worth it though.." His eyes fell half lidded and he smiled at her. "When are you going to show me YOUR shrine now..? I think you owe it to me.."
An exhaled snort escaped her as she lifted her brows. “My shrrine? My shrrine is nothing but a whole in a wall; it’s nothing comparred to yourrs. This one puts it to shame, actually.”
He actually looked completely thrown back... For one, she had actually said his shrine was visually better than hers! And second.. well, he was surprised that she wouldn’t surround herself with greatness, things beautiful enough to match her. He couldn’t see her worshiping and living in something plain.. "I.. suppose there is more to you that I don't know. And here I thought I had finally figured you out." He snickered and watched her, slowly inching closer. "I'd still like to see it.."
She only smirked, and then shook her head. “You’ve just gotten to the firrst layerr with me…besides, if you saw it now it’d only be a black rroom with brroken glass.”
He leaned close to her, that vicious grin curling along his muzzle. "You're the only decoration I need, babe. You'd make it stunning. And what do ya know! I could look at your pretty reflection in all that glass."
Ears flicked back, but then forward as her heart sped up again. She let her smirk continue to play on her muzzle, the corners of her mouth slightly curling almost like his. “Such compliments,” she said, “too bad yourr prresence would darrken my home even more than it alrready is.” She was joking, of course, but he was still getting nowhere.
"I'm sure we could brighten up the place together.." His smirk widened, and the equivalent of a malu eyebrow wiggled a bit. It seemed jokingly... But he was actually sort of serious. Another soft chuckle. "Well either way... Thank you for coming."
“Always implying something, you.” She shook her head lightly. She knew what he meant…but…did she really? Not dwelling on the thought much longer, Ianthe nodded and focused on his last words. “Thank you forr showing me. One day you’ll see wherre I live…if you can find it.” "Hmm...I'll consider it an honor then, when the time comes.. To see where the angel sleeps." He paused for a moment, the skin on his nose wrinkling a bit. "Heh, never mind... You're not an angel. Wrong word."
This made Ianthe cackle, a cheshire grin curling over her muzzle afterwards. “No, I’m not, but I will give you a hint to my whereabouts: to the south of wherre I am at my time.”
He just blinked, looking quite confused. "Unn... Alright..." His ears twitched back and forth as he pondered the riddle.
Again, she chuckled. “Yourr confusion is unnecessarry; it’s quite easy to figurre out if you think about it…but it’ll still be harrd to find. Anways,” she said, and looked to the doorway, “I must be taking my leave. Good luck, Kearrn. I trrust you’ll be interrupting my sunsets soon…”
With that she began to move towards the decorated doorway. As she moved past him, she lightly dragged a wing tip along his side as she chuckled lightly to herself.
The light touch of her soft skin against his sent a shudder down his spine, making his eyes flutter closed for a moment, day dreaming. "Mmm... Sooner than you think, doll..." His shining white eyes opened again and he watched her leave, noting every movement of her body, grinning widely. "Goodnight... And Sweet dreams."
She heard his farewell from around the corner, and before she got too far away, she replied back with a, “I’m surre they’ll be my last ones.” Her voice was sent echoing off the stone, and then all was quite on her end.

Luv4kou (12:39:08 AM): The afternoon after their last meeting, when the sun was low on the horizion... Waiting for Ianthe at the top of the stairs was a dark rose, it's petals a deep, blood red, almost black in the dying light. And beside it, a new bone dreamcatcher, similar to the one she had liked. But it was obvious it was new, and specially made for her. kuro no kitsune (12:45:56 AM): It wasn't long before a dark nose carefully poked the flower's delicate petals, or a paw tracing gingerly around the rim of the nightmare catcher. The items reflected their images in the black eyes of the maluess and she tilted her head fondly at them.
Tucking the catcher closer to the rose, who's scent strongly floated and mingled in the warm air, Ianthe lowered herself to the stone floor and curled her body around her tiny treasure. It was a nice start to the evening, finding the gifts placed there to thoughtfully, and for now seemed to make both the sunset and her body glow a bit brighter in the dying day. Luv4kou (12:58:19 AM): Unknowing to the happy maluess, Kearn was watching from a hidding spot behind a pillar, nose barely peeking around, body still lilke it was a statue it's self. His lip curled upwards as she curled around the gifts. She liked them! He knew it. He knew she'd like them... He dared to peek out alittle further, his view being a bit blocked as she laid down. He wanted to see her face..kuro no kitsune (1:06:45 AM): Oh, but the "unknowing happy maluess" did know. She had known almost since the second she came out to her "spot." Little shadows told a lot of truths, believe it or not.
kuro no kitsune (1:06:55 AM): With a twitching ear, Ianthe flipped the hair out of her face, as she stared out at the horizon. No real emotions played on her face, but they did flick across behind her eyes every other second or so. kuro no kitsune (1:07:00 AM): Thoughts ran wild about her mind, and feelings to, but it wasn't her to convey them at this time. So, she kept her silent sunset vigil for a few more minutes, thus letting the shadowy male continue to play his hiding game… only a few minutes.
" kuro no kitsune (1:07:00 AM): Kearrn," she purred suddenly when those few minutes were up, but she didn't move her head to look in the direction he was in. "It's easier to watch - things - frrom overr herre, I think."kuro no kitsune (1:07:03 AM): stupid AIMLuv4kou (1:15:41 AM): He jumped almost strait in the air, the fur on his back standing strait up for a moment. He almost pouted.. Damn! He'd been caught! He almost considered just standing there, hiding and pretending that she was wrong about him being there.. Or running... but then he wouldnt be able to see if she really liked them.. With a bit of a grumble he stepped out from behind the pillar, ears tucked low against his neck. "Why do you have to be so observant..." kuro no kitsune (1:17:05 AM): A throaty chuckle was offered in a small apology before she spoke, "my goddess's fault, not mine. Besides… can't be fun hiding behind a pillarr, no?" She turned her head to look at him, ears perked, unlike his. Luv4kou (1:23:02 AM): He walked up to her slowly, standing over her with his ears still flat. He almost seemed nervious, now that he had been caught.. "I dunno, i was having alot of fun.. I was watching you, after all." He grinned slowly. kuro no kitsune (1:30:04 AM): Ianthe let a smirk fall over her features as she tilted her head to look up at him. "Again with the flirrting rremarrks," she stated, "why do you not just say what you trruly mean." kuro no kitsune (1:30:05 AM): Was she implying something? Perhaps. It was up to the listener. However…just seconds after she spoke, she began to feel some regret. Maybe she didn't want him to say everything he truly ment? But then, maybe she did? Ianthe's mind was suddenly racing with "what ifs" and a lump in her throat was starting to grow.Luv4kou (1:34:22 AM): His legs stiffened up and he frowned at her a tad. What DID he think? How did he feel..? About her? All these games and facination..? At first he'd jsut wanted to figure out how she ticked, maybe even have some fun.. But now he found himself wanting to do things for her, be with her. He swallowed roughly, neck pulsing as he glanced away for a moment. She probably just thought he was stupid. She'd tease him, like always. His legs buckled slowly and curled under him as he laid down beside her. "So, you like the gifts?"kuro no kitsune (1:40:21 AM): The lump in her throat began to subside when he changed the subject, but a shiver curled up her spine when he laid down. In a way, she was sort of glad he hadn't answered; she wasn't sure about everything yet…
kuro no kitsune (1:40:21 AM): Ebon lanterns looked away from him and down to her treasures. "I do," she replied and tilted her head at them. She then looked back at him and spoke again, "thank you." The words were genuine, and rare… rarely did one get those two words from her. Luv4kou (1:48:31 AM): His eyes had been centered on the slowly setting sun, flickering sneaky glances over to her. He was releaved when she didnt pressure him further.. And she thanked him! He felt his chest tense and stomach flutter, tail twitching back and forth quickly with the pent up emotions. He cocked his head to her and smiled. "I'm glad... Here I was expecting you to snub them and not take them.. THough if you did I would have just left them here every night. That way you'd at least see them at sunset.."kuro no kitsune (1:57:27 AM): Another chuckle, though smaller than the one before, tickled her throat. "Hmhmmmmmm, so thoughtful, that. …I can still snub them." kuro no kitsune (1:57:28 AM): Eyes trailed away from him and back out to the almost dead sunset, a mocking smirk flitting on her lips for a few seconds. Forepaws crossed themselves as Ianthe fell into a small silence, simply content with the company. It was something she had been pushing away for some time, but now that she had it for the moment, she remembered how… nice it was. Luv4kou (2:06:36 AM): He sighed softly and lowered his muzzle to sit on his front paws, watching the sun set. His silence matched hers, accept for the occasional contented sigh. He wouldnt admit it, but this was... heavenly. Beautiful background, beautiful female... Oooh yea. Only be better if there was someone waiting in the shrine, tied and gagged and waiting to be scared. Perhaps tomarrow... Right now he was content to just lay here with her. When the sky was almost compeltely dark he raised his head, eyes watching her closely as he shifted. Now for plan B... He yawned and stretched his front legs outwards, claws stroking stone for a moment before they recoiled, and he just haaappened to settle a few inches closer to her, his side brushing against her's. Peeerfect. kuro no kitsune (2:06:59 AM): (( xDD ))kuro no kitsune (2:07:06 AM): (( smoooooooooth ))Luv4kou (2:08:16 AM): ( x333 )Luv4kou (2:08:19 AM): (of course!)kuro no kitsune (2:15:37 AM): Eyes quickly darted to their corners, giving him a second's glance, as his body touched hers. Inside her stomach, a cage of butterflies had suddenly burst open and her toes went all tingly. But, no matter what she was feeling, she still conveyed that calm and almost unnoticing demeanor. Time for her to make HIM shiver.
Ianthe took a bold move; subtleties practically forgotten as she just let herself lean into him. Side brushing. HA. She won. Luv4kou (2:22:25 AM): He could feel himself melting. Yes. Forget breathing and living, his fur was just melting off him. His eyes fell half closed and he could feel an unconcious, lop-sided, goofy grin crossing over his face. Chest broadened as he inhaled slowly, then breathed it out in a contented sigh. He had expected her to bite at him, at least pull away.. Without really thinking he leaned back against her, his longer body able to curl around her slightly, nestling her against his side. Words couldnt really describe what he was thinking, so he just kept silent. kuro no kitsune (2:34:36 AM): Ooooooooooh yeah, she so won.
Everything inside Ianthe had been buzzing until he leaned back into her, and then everything moved into slow motion in a millisecond. Her heart went calmer than calm, her mind pretty much went clean, and the tingle in her paws became some soothing warmth. Never had she felt like this. Never had she wanted something to never stop… kuro no kitsune (2:34:43 AM): With a soft sigh, she let her smaller body completely fall into his. Eyes lazily, dazed, looked out to the now dark horizon, its tips painted silver from the moon's new glow.Luv4kou (2:47:08 AM): It could have been raining, snowing even! Kearn wouldnt have cared, or even really noticed.. His eyes and other senses were completely absorbed by her. He sighed again and settled against her, the nervious tension fading as he relaxed. He lowered his muzzle to nuzzle against the curve of her neck.. Lowered ears brushing over her shoulder blades. Her fur was softer and warmer then he could have ever imagined. kuro no kitsune (2:49:54 AM): x-x g2g bed soon, so I'mma "end" it on my half for the night.Luv4kou (2:51:29 AM): (ok ^^)Luv4kou (2:53:06 AM): (going now or posting one last time? o.o )kuro no kitsune (2:52:09 AM): (( posting! ))Luv4kou (2:53:30 AM): ((ok xDkuro no kitsune (2:54:03 AM): Another deep sigh was emitted and already half lidded eyes fell closed. "Wake me when it is morrning," she half purred, half mumbled, and before she could even get some sort of answer, she went out like a light and into a calm sleep. Luv4kou (2:57:27 AM): He grinned and nodded slowly, brushing his nose up her neck to the tender spot behind her ear, then nestled his head down beside her's, ears flattening and legs curling around her more. "Will do, doll..." And he certainly would. He wouldnt dare leave her side... He'd protect her dreams, for tonight anyway.
