Yes that's right, our Bari line has six people on it. and ALL six are girls.
We also have a girl who plays tuba, this is in drum corps opposed to high school marching though
Girls that play low brass, are pro.
Does your corps/band have girl bari and tuba players?
EDIT: As of 12/02/07 we now have seven girl baritone players. Holy shoot our hornline is stacked.

I play clarinet as my main, altosax, flute and tennor bass clarinet. So I went from those 5 woodwinds to a brass, it was all just a matter of finding the right brass, or you could always drum, do pit, or guard. Guard is always bitchy though.

Words Of Wisdom From Bagel... I can get most woodwinds except flute. Something with the shape of my mouth. I can get an instrument-like sound out of brass. I can play keyboards. But I'm very uncoordinated and can't do guard, I'd end up injuring half the corps. Drums are iffy. My drummer friend tried to teach me. On a window curtain and bookshelf... He ended up hitting me with the sticks, so I'm taking percussion methods the second semester of my senior year. {Next year, wewt!} Now Go Forth And Share Them...

I've got the dance aspect of guard, it's sad, our guard has ONE that can do a right leg splits, most of them are clutzy but can some how manage to spin. I'd be lethal as soon as you throw the flag/riffle/saber in.
My left hand is mentally challenged I Swear, my left hand has a mind of it's own, more stuborn than I am.
I was going to take the beginner music class and "learn to play bari" becasue it'd be an easy mark considering, I well, am already playing it outside of school, and the music is much harder. But I just teach clarinet in that classs now.

We had one girl that played Euphonium in Wind Ensemble the last couple years and marching Baritone the last three, and the best freaking tuba we've ever had was a girl by name of Kelly...I miss her >.<

The first year, screwed up my wrist. This year, I figured out just how much chains hurt my face, leg, back, arm, and saxophone. Oh, and head... xp Now Go Forth And Share Them...

Words Of Wisdom From Bagel... They were hidden inside our jacket, so they had to be chain flags. And I had to keep the chains away from my bass drumming friend... He likes to chain fight... Now Go Forth And Share Them...
