It would be about 240 gallons (American). 48" tall, 48" in length, and 24" wide. I'm going to guess that it would end up in my bedroom, as there's no more room elsewhere in the house.

What I would like to know, is if everything is suitable with each other; how deep the sand should be (and where to find it cheap, but decent); how big of a rock (or rocks) the tank would need; overall cost to set it up; anything else that you may think of.

first off not shure about the cost.
sand bed should be 1-2 inches deep.
skip the seahourses becuse they dont belong in a community, neon gobys are hard at times, try to only go with one type of goby but in that size of a aquarium it might work, save the mandrain as the last fish and up both speices of carnal fish to about 6.

a sand shifting star fish might be a problem but agin in that size i dont think it will be, bring up the hermit crab's to about 1 for every 10 gallons oof water, Nerite snails will also have to come up, same as the turbo snails, you might decide to get more feather dusters as you go along. i am sorry i dont know much about the fighting conch snail.

you want about two pounds live rock per gallon any size and any peice that you like. um i allready covered the sand but i will do it agin about 1-2 inche layer over the bottom. and i am sorry i dont know much about the saltwater plant speices.

next on the list how are you going to be filltering the system and how much water movment you are going for.
Next on the list aswell what are you going to be lighting this aquarium with MH, T-5 What?
