You are all going to kill me for this, but Crystal Renee... SiretaInDisguise's mind works in strange ways!! So please, kill me later smile
I want to believe Kishimoto had Sasuke be on drugs for another reason (even though we all know it's speculative, I don't think he's using a jutsu-- I'm sure it's pills)-- Sakura!
What's better than to have Sakura train at medical jutsu and then have Sasuke taking pills that only she will find out about and be able to counter? That's just screaming 'Sasuke will be at the mercy of Sakura!'
But seriously, I doubt this will happen, but it could happen:
Sakura, while researching the pills, discovers a recipe by Orochimaru. A forbidden pill that draws on the life of the user in order to increase their present strength (like how Tsunade can heal herself completely during battle and never die, but it shaves years off her life). Although there are other options, she's worried that this-- since it was created by Orochimaru-- is the one that being used. And as such, she leaves to kick his a** gets permission from Tsunade to investigate the battleground and lair for this specific medicine, stating that most of the ANBU wouldn't know what to look for.
She gets there, stepping lightly through the cavern and splittng off toward the room where they battled Sasuke. She goes through, sifting through the rubble to see what she can find. All she needs, after all, is one pill or a couple of the ingredients to prove that is what he's using. If she's sure, she can counter it before it's too late. So she goes on a manhunt to find the pills.
NOw in my world, she would find the pills or some ingredients in the cave and leave it there. If this were to happen, that would be it. But, since I'm feeling fangirly and I have the heart to write a fic about this, I'm going to continue.
And, of course, our favorite Uchiha is hiding in the shadows, having returned upon Orochimaru's request to destroy any evidence of their work there. He spots Sakura, but instead of putting himself into the open, he waits, calculating her. After all, he only went to hurt her in the last fight because she went after him. He went on defensive. Why should he try to hurt her now if she wasn't attacking him, or wasn't aware he was there? Besides, he is curious as to why she's there.
"You can come out now, Sasuke-kun."
*squees to death* Okay. I'm done spoiling that. *goes to off to write a fan fiction*

I haven't thought about it in such an awesome way as you have, but I HAVE thought about it, and I DO think that the drug incident was done on purpose so we can get some SakuraPWNS!action. Seriously. There has to be a REASON she became a medic. I mean, sure, she always took care of her teammates, but why not just make her have some kick a** jutsu? NO, she became a MEDIC, and I think that Kishi did this for a bigger purpose. And yes, I think that purpose has something to do with Sasuke. <3

NO, she became a MEDIC, and I think that Kishi did this for a bigger purpose. And yes, I think that purpose has something to do with Sasuke. <3 I think so too. She didn't become a medic for nothing (unless Kishimoto just did it to complete his Future Sannin thing... since every Team 7 member was trained by a Sannin XD). Thanks Remedi!

It's because Sakura's going to kick major drug a** be the one working in the background, caring for Sasuke and of course, Naruto's well-being.
