Biography176BIZ (pronounced - bizu ichi nana roku) began in 2005 as Betty. The band, then, consisted of two members Yu (vo.) and Tara (ba.). Some of you may know them from their previous bands. Tara was the bassist of Panic Channel / PANIC*ch and Yu was originally the vocalist of Never Crazy. The duo's first and only maxi-single, Aka, was released on December 14, 2005. In early 2006, Betty added 3 new members and completed their transformation by changing the band's name to 176BIZ. These new members were Kasumi (dr. -of band Gimmick), Setsuki (gt. -of band Karen), and Toki (gt. -Ex-Tsubasa of band Panic Channel). With their new members in place, 176BIZ gained a fanbase quickly and were able to premier themselves at a sold-out one man live held on March 13, 2006. Shortly after, their much acclaimed maxi-single, Shinkai ni Oboreta Sakana, was released. The regular edition of the single is available to overseas fans on cdJapan. 176BIZ's first full album, [ATELIER], was released September 27th, 2006! Ayabie is an indie Japanese rock band of the visual kei variety. Dressed in a kinky combination of traditional Japanese garb with psychedelic colours and patterns. Ayabie makes a mind-boggling and unforgettable statement. Kinky, electronic, psychedelic, bizarre call them what you want, Ayabie has burst onto the rock music scene and is performing to sell-out crowds in Japan and fast-gathering audiences in Europe. =D Biography Ayabie was formed in the early spring of 2004 by ex-Hinawana members Ryouhei, Takehito and Intetsu. The fourth member to be brought into the band was ex-MASK and ex-Cynical Biscuit vocalist Aoi. Newest to the band is drummer Kenzo. Their music is addictive as it blends an almost playful combination of electronic sounds and often gives the impression of being a crazy combination of hard and soft sounds precisely the basic requirements for any great Visual Kei music. Together with Aoi´s soft yet strong voice, this music gets to young people and this is reflected in the sales of the group's CDs. Ayabie offers a very different kind of music which is gaining appeal to a wider audience, performed by a group with passion in their music and in their performance. Their debut album was released on March 21, 2005. 'Ayabie Sokuka Ongenshuu' and it was, unsurprisingly, an immediate hit. It also came with a bonus DVD which included a few of their PVs. In the summer of 2006, Ayabie announced that their lead-guitarist & group leader, Ryouhei, would leave the band perminantely. Reasons for his departure were not specifically explained, but simply that he and the group shared different idea's. Although sharing differences, the band as well as Ryouhei himself stated that they would remain good friends. On his leave, Ryouhei stated that he would indeed continue his musical career, and soon afterwards started a new band entitled "Megamaso" (メガマソ). Currently, Ayabie just released a new single, 'Kimi no koe to yakusoku' (君の声と約束). The single was released in A and B-TYPE form (each single containing a different b-side track). They are also apparently working on a new album which should be released very soon, and have found a temporary support guitarist, Yumehito (ex-Soroban). DUEL JEWEL History The first stirrings of the band date back to early 1997 when guitarist Shun and drummer Val first met and started making music together. Hayato (all the members use single names) joined up with them as vocalist in May, 1997, but quit the group in July, 1998. In August, 1998 Duel Jewel gave away a demo called “Kaze-The Winding Garden”. The group has since made a habit of giving away demos, or selling limited editions of items to their fans. The band has also appeared on a number of visual-kei compilations, including the titles Hysteric Media Zone and Spleen & Ideal. The group was still in a somewhat nebulous form when Ka-non joined on bass in January 1999. The group began gelling again when Hayato returned on vocals in May, 1999. In December of the same year, the group gave away the demo “Tsuki to Tawamure” (Flirting With the Moon), which has since become one of their signature songs. In 2000 they released two limited edition items “Kuro” (Black) and “Shiro” (White), or which just 200 were made. In October, 2000 Yuya joined on second guitar, after playing with the group for a few months as a “support member”. In December, 2000 they made that big step for an indie band, their first “one man” (headlining) show. August, 2001 saw Duel Jewel release their first album Lapidary. At the end of that year Ka-non left the group and Natsuki joined, bringing the band to its current and best known lineup. The first U.S. visit was a success as the band gained many new enthusiastic followers. Two concerts during the visit drew approximately 1500 fans and autograph sessions were quite popular as well. In June, 2002 Duel Jewel made their first international performance, playing at the anime event A-kon in Dallas, Texas. This success also spread to Japan, where Duel Jewel added more dates to their live schedule in the Tokyo area and began to hold more events in other major Japanese cities. Since then the group has appeared at a number of American anime festivals including Katsucon (Washington D.C.), Anime Central (Rosemont, Illinois) and Anime Expo (Anaheim, California). While at their U.S. shows they may play abbreviated sets, in Japan they play long and hard, sometimes up to three hours straight without intermission. In September, 2002 Duel Jewel released the seven song mini-album Noah. In 2003 they returned to the States to play anime conventions. In November of that year they released Vermillion. 2003 and 2004 continued this momentum as the band returned to the U.S. six times and held exciting shows in Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Anaheim, San Jose, and Houston. Each visit added more fans to the band's overseas support base and also exposed more people to Duel Jewel's infectious, happy style of visual music. The group also enjoyed meeting all of their overseas fans at each appearance, signing numerous autographs and posing for endless photos with the fans. These two years also saw the band increase their popularity in Japan with a full live show schedule, another CD titled "Vermilion", and more tracks on omnibus CDs. Duel Jewel also began receiving attention from Japanese media outlets with magazines like "SHOXX" and "Cure" featuring the band in interviews, photos and reports (a report of the band's Houston appearance was featured in 2 consecutive issues of "Cure"), and music TV shows began airing the group's videos. 2005 has seen Duel Jewel concentrate primarily on activities in Japan, with another CD release ("The Birth") in February, live events (including important tours during the summer with major indies groups like Phantasmagoria, ISABELLE and D'espairs Ray), more one-man live shows in April and September (both sold-out), and increased magazine attention. In September the band signed with a new management company, Zero Range Entertainment, which has taken an active role in promoting the group across Japan and fine-tuning the members' already strong musical talents. In February, 2006 they released Visions. Duel Jewel is scheduled to appear at Anime Expo, July 1-4 in Anaheim. Also, two members from Duel Jewel are scheduled to appear at Orlando's MegaCon convention on February 18th. Hayato and another (not yet announced) member from the band will be at the convention for photos, autographs, and a special video concert premiere. The past eight years have seen the boys mature immensely as a band and become a solid name in the Japanese indies scene. The members are very eager to make more overseas tours and meet more fans, both old and new. It looks like the future will be very bright indeed for Duel Jewel. Music Genre Musically, Duel Jewel covers a wide range with songs from soulful ballads to headthrashing hard rock. Each member contributes to every song in the band's repertoire, resulting in a strong sound that's sure to please even the most discriminating music fan. The group's live shows (especially one-man performances) are a must-see, as the band goes all out in their on-stage performance, encouraging the fans to respond in kind. And a one-man is usually not complete without a surprise or two, usually from Yuya. Style & Appearance As visual-kei groups go, Duel Jewel are moderate in their appearances; they do wear leather, flash clothes, and make-up, but no French period costumes or space alien get-ups. While their stage show is theatrical, the members are all accomplished players, and compared to most visual-kei bands they tend to play in more of a hard rock style. Another distinctive aspect of the band is their keen interest in perfume. Shun, the group’s leader, is said to be particularly knowledgeable and enamored with scent, and the group’s profile lists in addition to the usual questions about height, blood type and favorite food, also their favorite perfumes. Shun in facts list four of his favorites - Gucci’s Rush is top choice but he also likes Romance, Nightlight, and enjoys wearing Ultramarine when sleeping. Four of the five members also list their favorite cigarettes. Only drummer Baru (sometimes listed as “Val” on English materials) does not use perfume or smoke. AboutPhantasmagoria is a Japanese Visual Kei band. They formed in November of 2004 and their first single "Material Pain" was released in Shoxx Magazine on December 21,2004. The following day they also released their first Maxi-single, "Moonlight Revival". Phantasmagoria claimed the cover of a well-known Visual Kei magazine, Cure, only one month after officially forming( February issue; released December 18,2004), becoming one of the fastest indies bands to appear on the cover of a magazine. Their first ever one-man (according to Kisaki) and first American concerts were on October 21 and 22nd, 2005 at Oni-con in Houston, Texas. Months later, on March 26th, the band played their first Japanese one-man. Kisaki, bassist and leader of Phantasmagoria, is also the Executive of Under Code Production, a Visual Kei indies label located in Osaka, Japan. Previously, he was the Executive of the indies label Matina. Rame (bassist of Vidoll) teasingly began referring to the band as "Mago-Mago". (Mago means "grandchildren".) The name is now used by fans as well. As of February 23rd, 2007 Guitarist Iori and Drummer Matoi will be leaving the band. On that same day, Phantasmagoria will be pausing activities. However, they will not be disbanding. AboutRENTRER EN SOI (リエントールアンソイ, RENTRER EN SOI?) is a rock band from Japan, namely visual kei. In French the bands name can be translated as "To return in Oneself". The band is made up of Satsuki on vocals, Takumi and Shun on guitar, Ryo on bass, and Mika on drums. Through the years, RENTRER EN SOI has become more widely known and listened to, still staying as an indie band as of yet.♥ In the year 2001, RENTRER EN SOI started out as a four-member band consisting of Satsuki (vo.), Takumi (gr.), Ryo (ba.), and Ao (gr.). In March of 2003, Mika joins the band as the drummer. At the end of a tour in February of 2004, Ao leaves the group and is soon replaced by Shun within the month. Actually, I've recently downloaded some Phantasmagoria songs. They are very enjoyable. :3 I also heard that Wataru from 12012 was Ruki's brother, but...they don't seem to share the same family name. Although, they do look alike.

Hehe, where did you hear that? x3 Ohes! I still need all these songs from these bands (except for Sadie, have those!), but... I'm too poor to buy anymore. I just bought AnCafe's Magyna Carta or whatever. x3

I don't remember. I also heard that Aya from Psycho Le Cemu was Kai's twin. Some fangirls are weird. In a bad way.
Well, as far as the music thing, livejournal.com has an abundant amount of j-music rotation communities.
