The black lioness was home. She had left Yua and was on her way to where Yua had suggested then she could look for her family. Oh it would be so good to see them again.

She trotted about, her head held high, she was happy, no she was happier then just happy she was delighted and excited to be where she belonged, once she had her family and friends everything would be perfect.

She stopped suddenly thinking that she had heard something then shaking her head she continued her prancing and trotting. She was a very happy female on this fine day that was for sure.

This troubled adolescent had been given much to think about and many fledgling responsibilities thrust upon his shoulders. Had he known that training to be a nvwati would involve witnessing the things he had done...then maybe he would have said no.

All about him he could feel and hear spirits going about their business, occasionally fending off a verbal taunt from one of the not so nice spirits. So engrossed was he that he wasn't paying attention to where he was walking.

BUMP!

Straight into something soft. So when Adi'sa saw a dark pelted lioness instead of a tree, he was quite taken aback and even shuffled backwards a bit.

Tailsin hadn't noticed him coming she was far too wrapped up in her own little world so it came as a shock to her but also as a delight.

"Oh hello!" She spoke cheerfully, her head tilted to one side a little looking the male up and down. She noticed his tattoos and smiled to herself. See she didn't get lost! Though she was slightly saddened at the fact that she probably wouldn't see Yua again.

"Erm.. are you from one of the clans?" She had to ask out of curiosity. If he was he could probably help her out alot!

Well it had a female voice, and a distinct lack of mane, so it was definitely female. But surely it was too dark to be a lion? Maybe it was a spirit that was playing tricks on him! Although...he'd yet to meet a spirit that could manifest itself like a lion yet, but there was always a first time for everything.

Despite Tailsin's cheerful greeting was met with a less than cheerful reply.

"A-are you a spirit? Or are you real?" he asked her nervously. Aside from the elder Tawa'di, Adi'sa had not seen another lion since his grandmother passed away.

She blinked a few times at the question and then nodded, "I am real, look!" She went over to him and hit him gently so not to hurt him. "Surely a spirit can't do that!" She chuckled a little bit.

"I am Tailsin, well I have my full name but it's really long so you can call me Tailsin. I just returned home from a very long trip and I am hoping to find my family, they should be around somewhere!" She smiled still in a very happy and cheerful mood.

Adi'sa stood in shock as she approached him...and then hit him! Well, sort of bopped him on the shoulder. Okay, so she was real enough, which made him feel a little silly. He slouched in a sheepish manner.

"Umm...sorry," he apologised, unable to lift his head to her yet. "I'm Adi'sa."

Getting some gumption back, he looked her over quickly. She was older than him, she had more tattoos and even though she was a girl, she was bigger. She was looking for her family? Well, it was possible they might have survived, since he had seen few others here yet.

"What do they look like?"

"They look like me mostly. Mother was more of a brown colour though but father was black, I had a brother as well, he looked like me, black with a golden mane. We were twins!" She smiled happily, she had missed her brother so much, they looked identical apart from the obvious differences such as gender.

"Have you seen them?" She could hope if nothing else she could at least hope, once she had found her family she could as after Yua's sister and then give her the message.

"Have you been here all your life?" She was full of questions, many of them. She had never been to this land and she hadn't seen her family or friends since she was a cub, oh so many questions.

Adi'sa mused over her family's description, but it wouldn't yield anything in his young mind as he hadn't seen anyone other than Tawa'di and couldn't recall who he'd seen on the journey here. Something told him that a golden maned lion seemed familiar, since it was quite a striking appearance. But if he had seen such a lion, it was a long while ago when his sisters and grandmother were still alive.

"Hmmm...I don't think I've seen them yet, but they could still be travelling if they didn't get sick," he replied, his voice a little more hopeful.

Adi'sa was not one to be bitter about the things that happened in life, but he was one to question them, and he was plagued by the 'why' in regards to his family. At least it was some morbi reassurance to know that he wasn't the only one to be lost ot have lost family.

"Umm...I came here a while ago, as a cub," he replied, his voice distinctly young sounding despite his age.

She listened and got a little confused, they weren't here? How could that be, they left with the pride, as did she but she was too adventerous for her own good and got lost.

"Sick? What do you mean sick? They were fine when I wandered off, perfectly fine." She got a little confused, well more then a little it just didn't make any sense, none at all.

"You came as a cub? So you know the lions around here." It was a statement, none of it meant to be answered. In her mind he would know whether her family were here and she guessed that they weren't.

The little piece of hope that Adi'sa had mustered quickly faded away as the prospect of having to explain the sickness to this lioness weighed heavily on him. He wondered how she had survived it, let alone come to know nothing of it. If she had wandered off, she must have wandered a long way!

"I only know one lion here, and have seen but shadows of others. I don't think I've seen your family yet, unless they are still travelling to get here," he answered her second statement first, his mind trying to think over a gentle response to her first.

"And yes, some lions got sick on the way here. A lot of lions," he said slowly and clearly, with stony sort of sadness. He was still upset at the loss of his sisters, but trying to force himself to be brave.

She looked confused, really confused. "How did they get so sick?" She needed to know so she had an idea of the prides state at the moment and because of her parents. She was refusing to believe they were ill or dead.

All of what Adi said seemed sad and nothing seemed in the slightest happy. "How many of the pride are left?" Her voice grew softer as she asked the question. It seemed so strange and odd that the pride would have died to the point where they may have even died out if it wasn't for a few who were left.

Adi'sa was visibly uncomfortable trying to recount the details of his past, moreso since Tailsin couldn't relate to the events. He was merely a cub when it all transpired, and all that had become strong in his mind was that a sickness had swept through the old lands.

"The sickness came with the Dark lions," he said, wavering a little. "Lots of lions are gone. I'm not sure how many have made it, you're the first I've seen in a long time."

"I know of the dark lions, its why we left our lands but I know nothing of this sickness." She was as honest as she knew how and it seemed odd even to her about the illness, maybe it was there while she was but she just didn't notice or remember? She shook her head.

"I don't know how I don't know about it then." She sighed and looked at her paws. Maybe her parents and brother were dead, though she wished not to believe it nothing else seemed to make much sense.

"I'm sorry. You might still find them. Elder Tawa'di survived the sickness, and you survived, and I survived. It can't just be the three of us in this whole place," he said, his tone somewhat unchanged but he was attempting optimism.

He saw that she was shuffling about, much like he did when he felt sad about something. So, she must be feeling low too. Adi'sa shuffled his paws also.

"Come, we can go for a walk and start looking for others," he suggested, his tone brightening up slightly. "I can show you some place for a drink too."

Tailsin smiled softly and nodded. He was right it was possible but inside she knew in her heart that they were dead.

"A walk? Yes that sounds good." She stretched her legs a little and shifted her weight about. Moving definatly seemed to be a good idea.

"Are there any left in your clan?" She had to ask, if she were the only left she didn't want to be alone. If her clan were dead she was not going to be the one to bring them back together.
