This room has walls painted like a sunset (or perhaps a sunrise), with constellations spangled across the dark ceiling, and a sun/moon disk detailed in the center. The floor is coverd in soft blue carpet, and two comfortable beds covered in deep red spreads stand along one wall. The desk sits under the wide window, which opens onto the forest behind the house. A pair of comfortable chairs sit in a corner beside a bookcase.

This is a private room. The House requests you not enter unless you are Cain or his Parent.

Babies are the youngest inhabitants of the House. They cannot yet speak, and require near-constant care. They may be learning to crawl and babble. Even this young, their traits and disorders are beginning to manifest in their own small ways.

Toddlers are beginning to learn how to walk and talk. They are starting the task of learning how to function and communicate.

Children are in their formative years, learning the things they need to know to live in their world. By now, their traits and disorders are showing clearly.

Teenagers have the added confusion of the odd changes of puberty, as well as their own quirks. They may brood, become wildly outgoing and rebellious, or find themselves attracted to other children.

Adults have learned to harness their unusual abilities and to cope with the turmoil within them ... perhaps. Or perhaps the inner conflicts have simply made them stronger and stranger.

Daemons, said "day-mons" are one of the rarer species on Juridia. And for good reason. Pureblood daemons tend to be bloodthirsty in their later years, and thus eat many of their own offspring. There are the rare ones who share human beliefs, but those are few and far between, compared to the entire daemon nation - who believes that humans are creatures to be used as burden animals. Indeed, the daemons are the slave-trade's main source, and to be a slave to a daemon is considered something of a painful honor. It varies from family to family, but daemons generally tend to dote more on their yougest, seeing them as portals of unlocked potential. The gender roles are equal, as both parents look after the children, and both genders learn the same things, and upkeep the home. You will not find a better parent than a full-blood daemon. There are not many daemon halfbloods - as half-daemon children are ritually found, tortured, and sacrificed to various gods.

Bipolar Disorder -
This disorder is characterized by alternating periods of extreme moods. A person with Bipolar disorder experiences cycling of moods that usually swing from being overly elated or irritable (mania) to sad and hopeless (depression) and then back again, with periods of normal mood in between.

Bipolar disorder is characterized by an alternating pattern of emotional highs (mania) and lows (depression). The intensity of the signs and symptoms varies. Bipolar disorder can range from a mild condition to a severe condition.

For many people, signs and symptoms in the manic phase may include:

* Feelings of euphoria, extreme optimism and inflated self-esteem
* Rapid speech, racing thoughts, agitation and increased physical activity
* Poor judgment
* Recklessness or taking chances not normally taken
* Difficulty sleeping
* Tendency to be easily distracted
* Inability to concentrate
* Extreme irritability

In the depression phase, signs and symptoms include:

* Persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt or hopelessness
* Disturbances in sleep and appetite
* Fatigue and loss of interest in daily activities
* Difficulty in concentrating
* Recurring thoughts of suicide

User ImageName: Chaeval*
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Caring for: Cain

Chaeval is known to be a pseudonym for this woman. Her real name is not notated anywhere on her or her posessions, nor does she associate with anyone that knew her before her nickname surfaced.

Practical and often blunt to the point of rudeness, she makes little bones about her opinions. Sometimes she may attempt to soften the blow, but this is not all the time.

How and why she entered the house remains a mystery. She found Cain one night in the midst of a storm, and immediately began to care for him. Protective and defensive of him, she keeps a stern watch on any that approach.

The Bed
Cain's bed is his refuge. Whether above or below it, as his moods take him. Both are piled and overflowing with the comfort of his stuffed toys.

The Desk
Not exactly...a neat area. The desk is piled with various papers and half leafed through books. It is here that Chae spends many a headache attempting to keep track and make sense of the goings ons in the House. She is not what one might consider... "Successful" in her attempts...

People go into the Madhouse in Arin'dal, but they don't come out. No one knows what goes on inside that building. The building itself is maybe one-hundred-fifty or one-hundred-sixty years old, and has problems galore. The roof is sagging, the foundation is sinking, the roof is peeling... But no one seems to care. As a matter of fact, the building seems uninhabited from the outside. Any spells used to sense life do, however, reveal the fact that there ARE beings alive in that old building.

About a month ago, a paranormal investigator decided to take a look into what was up with the people inside the building. He was curious as to why people went in, never came out, and there were no bodies anywhere to suggest anyone had died. He was expecting to run into a drug-smuggling operation with an underground tunnel leading to wherever. What he actually found was much stranger. Children and teenagers, all throughout the building. No adults, no elderly. Babies, children, and teenagers. And they were all insane. The investigator never left the house - all we know of it was gleaned out of brief notes taken upon entry into the house, that mysteriously turned up at his study three days later.

The house itself is old. Looks old, smells old, must be old. The building itself is maybe one-hundred-fifty or one-hundred-sixty years old, and has problems galore. The roof is sagging, the foundation is sinking, the roof is peeling... But no one seems to care.

The floors are strong enough, however, for several herds of elephants, and a few hippos tagging along.

As a matter of fact, the building seems uninhabited from the outside. Any spells used to sense life do, however, reveal the fact that there ARE beings alive in that old building.

The house isn't what it seems. It is alive - though it may not be breathing. The House's desires and outward emotions are known to the children that have been there the longest. And the House is - as are they - insane.
