Aethelinda Type: Dragon Gender: Female Likes: Reading, swords, heros Dislikes: Embroidery, stitting still for a long time Birthday: 3rd Feb '03 Personality: A little to energetic, Aethe hasn't really learnt what it takes to be subservient. She knows little of personal boundries and will usually greet with a hug and a kiss. She is outspoken and will say exactly what is on her mind if provoked. Prone to dreaming and scheaming she would love to be part of a grand adventure, something that seems to happen to people ofhter then her type. While she is terrible at dancing and singing, she loves music and secretly in her heart would love to dance as well as her mother. History: Aethelinda did not do well in her studies or training and thus was rejected from the home she had grown up in. Her mother decided to take her to the shop to see if she could finally learn the proper skills needed in being a servant but that remains to be seen. Her new master is rather aloof and very tempermental and she doesn't really like to talk about him. He is pretty tough on her sometimes so there is a small battle of wills going on but he does not mistreat her so it's not all that bad. Posessions: A necklace she keeps hidden in a small locked chest. Mate: None...

Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Call it curiosity, but Nimlaurë returned again to the shop. It could be she was simply testing the limits of her bonds with her human "master" though as a master Trelweny seldom acted as such. She had been welcomed home that night like a sister or friend, possibly a child but certainly not a piece of property or a pet. It baffled Nimlaurë slightly. Made her wonder how others were with their keepers. Thomas certainly had jumped to defend his "master" the other night, but he called Kipestshin "master" still.
"How very odd..." She murmured aloud as she removed her coat & hung it in the closet. Nimlaurë was going through the motions with a smooth carefree grace, her eyes as usual never seeming to focus on anything.Bob Dobbs *Anotsu stayed by a window feeling the warmth of the sun filtered through the paned glass. He could never get enough of the sun nor the way it felt on his skin. He had so many thoughts running through his mind. Thoughts of the past that really wouldnt do him any good bringing them up. he was able to be with others and enjoy the light though it seemed to bear more than one meaning now. Lifting a hand to his parted lips he recalled the kiss that him and Viktor had shared. A kiss that burned still and caused a blush to spread over his fine cheekbones. He was glad that his mask would hide the telltale signs of actual emotion. No matter how much he had fought it he feared that he was losing this battle and falling in love. In many ways he still despised himself for this weakness and vowed to be stronger.* Malis Delnaria Aethelinda opened the door to the shop slowly. She peeked around the wooden frame before making her way inside the warm abode. Looking around she smiled to see a few others like herself and for a moment stayed by the door as if in thought. After making a decision she made her way to a bean bag in the corner. On her way there she knocked over a cup that had been sitting on the table near to her destination. It fell over with a c***k which startled her. Looking around quickly with pink running over her cheeks she replaced it and hoped that she had not disturbed anyone. Reaching the beanbag the dragon coiled around it and breathed a small sigh of relief before glancing around once more. She would wait to see if anyone would come up to greet her before poking her tail into something else. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The female that passed her in the hall looked oddly familiar. Like Chandre perhaps. Nimlaurë Casually Spotting the masked medusa Nimlaurë made her way to a spot between the two medusae, stopping within a range that would make for comfortable conversation but not to be particularly close to either of them. "Hello." She nodded politely to each, finding a couch to recline upon.
She paused wondering at the hand to his lips. "I don't believe I've properly met either of you. I am Nimlaurë. Bob Dobbs *Anotsu heard a sound like a cup had fallen or almost fell and turned his head toward the spare bedroom he had been lost in thought in. He slithered out and paused by the door for a few seconds before making a solid decision to come out. He flicked his tongue in and out to taste the air and find out if it was someone he knew. he did not speak just yet but focused more on finding out if someone was here. Turning his sightless head around during this form of "scanning". He heard a regal sounding voice speak a greeting and found the sound very pleasant. From his experience it sounded like a voice from someone with a priviledged upbringing hence the formal edge to the voice. He sensed a second Medusa also. . . . .another female. One who's scent he did not yet recognize. Kagehisa Anotsu *He introduced himself and felt around for a seat so he would be able to sit down. * Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The barest of smiles touched the corner of her lips to have a name to go with the -well, mask- at last. For some reason it bothered Nimlaurë not to know with whom she had spoken or otherwise interacted. "A pleasure to meet you, Kagehisa Anotsu. I hope your day has been pleasant so far." Bob Dobbs *The dulcet tone of the one called Nimlaure spoke again and inquired about his day so far. He answered as respectfully as he could wondering about her. he did not know much about his kind or if their was a hiarchy system in place however she did sound at the very least as if she were of a high station.* My day has been well, I thank you for asking. *Turning his head to where the other female was he was impressed by her silence. Twinges of curiosity about her rose up like vines in his chest.* Malis Delnaria Aethelinda turned to see the other female who came up to see her. "Hello, I am pleased to meet you," she uncoiled herself from around the beanbag for a moment before giving the female a hug and kissing each cheek. "I am Aethelinda, how are you this morning?" She noticed the other comming into the room and setteling down, this one was male and wore a mask. She smiled lightly and then made her way over to him. Embrasing him also and giving him a welcoming kiss on both cheeks she then turned back and smiled, "It's so nice to see you both, nice to be here..." She decided to coil around her the beanbag once more and settle herself back down for the moment. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf She coolly & politely returned the female's gesture, herself not quite accustomed to much physical contact but adhering to an inner sense of decorum. "Pleased to meet you, Aethelinda. My day so far has been uneventful but pleasing."
Then her gaze drifted, not quite certain what to do now that the protocol for greetings had been seen to. Nimlaurë did not know if there was royalty, or if there was whether she was part of their caste -but she did appreciate manners & courtesy. Bob Dobbs *Anotsu's entire body stiffened at the unwanted embrace. Despite his distaste for such activities he tolerated it for now, including the kiss on the cheek and patted her awkwardly on the head. He was trying to get past the betrayal and these females had nothing to do with that situation. He reminded himself not to take it out on them but to merely sit and observe. In time he could become more successful and gain a few "Social skills"* Malis Delnaria The dragon settled herself down and smiled again, she felt her mind drift slightly before comming back and then blurting out, "So what kind of things do you like doing?" She had been sent to the shop to hopefully learn a better way to hold herself as it was obvious she was a little on the cheerful and blunt side and not one to think about serving before being served. She figited a little with one of her sleves as she looked around again with bright eyes. This shop seemed quite eclectic and Aethelinda decided she liked the feel of the place. Bob Dobbs *Anotsu gave an almost rude uncomfortable moment before replying. He preffered others to talk before he would. It enabled him to learn however he felt inclined to give an answer so as to not portray himself as an a**. He was tired however despite his weariness he would put what he HAD learned to good use.* I like training. Malis Delnaria "Training? In what way?" She wasn't sure she could feel the same way as him. The training she had recieved so far had been sproadic at best in the respect of how much she actually listened. She had the habit of loosing interest and letting her mind wander off elsewhere. And then there was that other bit of training... she shuddered delicatly at the memory and then tucked it back away where it couldn't be found. "You mean like learning how to surve tea and such?" That was something else she never really mastered, she usually knocked something over being quite accident prone. Bob Dobbs Training with various weapons, sharpening the blades, training the four senses. Sound, touch, taste, and spirit. That kind of training. I am especially good *here he smirked* with blind fighting. *His whole life he had known nothing else. Since he had hatched out of an egg his previous master had training him in nothing else but the way of the bushido for underground medusa fighting. It was the perfect way to make money off the backs of those he had enslaved. He had perfect eyesight back then, would thinks have been different if he had not lost?. Anotsu focused on Bob, his current master. He was not cruel at all and he rather liked him. He wasnt bad for a human.* Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf What did she like doing? Conversation always seemed to tumble to that at one point or another. Her mind wandered as her light violet eyes looked off distantly. "Tea sounds wonderful."
Nimlaurë stretched slightly and rose from the couch. "Would either of you like some?" She asked lightly as she made her way towards the kitchen. They always had such nice tea blends in this place. "I will be back with some momentarily if you do."

Malis Delnaria "Uuuuh... sure that'd be great!" Aethelinda grinned at the other female before turning back. "Trainging with swords? That sounds like much more fun that what I had to learn." Being female and supposidly somewhat 'high birth' she had been given training at towards her station. While she did not have the patience with learning embroidery and tea ceremony she had picked up the basics. She liked the learning to read but the few book she had access too were mostly the 'hero saves the damsel in distress' types and she had much more fun identifying with the hero than the damsel. Bob Dobbs If you would not mind *he said, referring to Nimlaure. He wouldnt mind whatever tea she made. It was his drink of choice.* And what did you have to learn? *He replied, curious as to what her master had been or was training her in. He did not know much about what the others did and wished to gain the valuable knowledge.* Malis Delnaria She waved her hand aimlessly in the air. "Oh I had to learn the normal stuff, sewing, embroidery, table manners, the proper way to serve tea..." She made an expansive gesture towards Nimlaurë as she spoke. "Ummm... I was tought how to sketch and paint, how to read and how to dance." She paused for a moment, "I love to read but I am terrible at dancing. We had to learn it to entertain whomever came in, like guests and such." She made a slight face remembering some of the other things she had to learn to 'entertain' the guests but kept the disgust from showing in her voice. It was obvious to a discernent nagah that she had belonged to a boarding-home like enviroment before she was 'given' to her newer master. Bob Dobbs *Anotsu thought it sounded a lot like a courtesin (splg?) or a geisha. However since he had never actually been in the presence of either he only had what the books had said to go on. He did not pry what other entertainments he had be forced to learn. Basing this on the tone of her voice he surmised it had not been favorable. It was not his right to that privileged information though he was curious. He nodded in approval and replied.* it sounds as if you have been taught a lot, I hope it had not been . . . unpleasant. . . .all that much. *He had started to fall over his words already. He hoped he would not be as clumsy for the rest of the conversation* Kipestshin Thomas crawled out of his room with a yawn. Where had the day gone? ... Hruffled his hair and made his way to the bathroom. He could hear talking going on. "meeeeh...." He shut the door and tried to wake up. Bob Dobbs *Anotsu heard a door close and wondered who it was. There were so many people in the house at any given moment so he was not sure. He got up and went to the window craving the sunlight on his skin once more. He couldnt get enough of the warmth and brightness of it.* PestLone Thomas came out to join the world of the living. He wanted coffee Bad. He was alost at it when he caught Anotsu in the corner of his eye."oh hey.... morning." Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Nimlaurë half listened to the others as she set the pot with water to boil, waited for it to do so, then allowed the tea to seep sufficiently. The addition of Thomas' voice caught her attention, nothing more. She added a cup to the tray she had readied & carried it out of th kitchen to the sitting area.
Silently Nimlaurë poured tea for everyone, graciously handing the cups around. To a trained eye one could see she was perhaps not trained to the highest levels, but she did well enough. Malis Delnaria Aethelinda shook her head before responding. "It was not that bad but I'd much prefer learning sword fighting like you did." She smiled and then watched as he got up and moved to the sunlight. Giggling lightly to herself she considered joining him other then but then got distracted by the new medusae who wandered into the room. "Well hello!" She got up and slithered over, giving him a hug in greeting and kissing him on both cheeks before releasing him. "It is a pleasure to meet you." Wandering back to her beanbag she accepted the cup of tea and took a sip. Bob Dobbs *He took the cup gratefully from Nimlaure and thanked her. The warmth of the tea felt so good as he sipped the flavorful brew. The combination of the sunlight and the tea made him very relaxed but as he was tired he tried to keep himself somewhat tense if only to stay awake.* Kipestshin Thomas rubbed his eyes. "uh... and hi ladies." *he was so very much not awake. Taking his fresh coffee he went and sat next to Anotsu. In a softer but platonic tone he asked, "... how is Helena doing?" Bob Dobbs Helena is feeling much better today, I appreciate your inquiry. *his respect for Thomas grew at that point because of it.* Malis Delnaria Tea finished, Aethelinda looked around wondering where everyone had seemed to dissapear off to. The new males medusae seemed to be more interested in chatting with the other male. It didn't sound like they were talking about anything interesting though so she let her mind wander again. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf She had wondered off & on how Helena was doing herself though had not thought to ask Anotsu though the carny dragon female had left with him. Nimlaurë felt a relaxing in her at the masked one's response to Thomas' query... she had not expected to feel relieved over something so small.
She gazed into nowhere, quietly sipping her tea. Something told Nimlaurë that it was too quiet. Perhaps she should strike up a conversation. She exhaled perhaps more audibly than she usually would and turned her face to Aethelinda. "Forgive me, but did you travel with Chandre & the rest of us? I cannot recall." Malis Delnaria Aethelinda nodded, "I fell behind though because of... ummm... unforseen circumstances... so it took me a little longer." She wasn't quite sure she wanted to explain how she had wandered off after some trinket that someone had said granted wishes. She had hoped to wish for a good master, one who wouldn't mind that she 'had not fulfilled the testings to the utmost'. She also wasn't quite sure she wanted to mention that Chandre was her mother and so kept silent on that also. Gamely she changed the subject, "What do you think of the shop, it's pretty interesting hun?" Bob Dobbs *Anotsu goes to set his empty teacup into the sink and prepares to leave. On his way out he passes by a certain door and pauses recognizing that familiar scent. He lingers by it for a moment and reaches out as if to place his hand onto the smooth wood. Turning away he pulled back and continues toward the front door, letting himself out. He would need to be more reserved on these matters. His head should be making decisions, not his heart. The last thing he wanted was to be a burden. He wanted him to be happy with or without him.* Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf She nodded & lifted a hand in farewell at Thomas' & Anotsu's departures without looking. Nimlaurë blinked her eyes slowly at the other female's tale. "Yes that would make sense. You are fortunate to have found the way alone." Nimlaurë knew she likely would have, traveling over unknown territory as they had.
"Interesting? Yes. You could say it is that." Her pale violet gaze actually focused on the female for a moment. She certainly reminded her of Chandre in some ways. Maybe the markings or the colorings. Not to mention her way of greeting... a hug and kissing both cheeks.
"Actually, I prefer my new home but I have been cautioned against lethargy." She smirked ever so slightly as if finding some humor in that disclosure. Malis Delnaria "What kept me doesn't really matter, I wasn't on my own when I traveled the way here which was probably a good thing but that can keep for a fireside tail or something..." The dragon waved her arm as if brushing the story away for another day. "My new home is... interesting to say the least. He does have a lot of books though, I do like that." Aethelinda nodded a farewell to the exiting medusae before turning back. "Cautioned against lethargy? I wonder why?" Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Nimlaurë accepted that explanation with a bare nod of her head. To the question her gaze again became distant, looking off at nothing or perhaps seeing something in her head. "Hmm. Yes. It is curious to me as well. But there is a certain amount of logic to it, when my favorite thing to do is relax. It would be easy to fall into the monotony of repetition."

Thomas looked at the small musicbox one last time before setting it infront of Aethelinda's door to be found. Chandre had picked it out. He left quitely, glad it hadn't made a sound.
