Aleraya purred in her sleep, her long tail swishing back and forth. Her chest rose and fell with her breathing, her wing feathers fluttering every now and then. She was dreaming of a large juicy deer that had become her dinner not too long ago, clacking her beak together as she imagined the taste.

Asriel slept a couple feet away, curled up around Rain. His red feathers shone in the sunlight. His ears were perked, occasionally twitching when a bird flew by. He was dreaming of his chickhood, which had been a very exciting part of his long life.

Rain was drawing away at a sketch of the surrounding landscape. Her sketchbook was propped up against one knee and her eyes were constantly darting up to check on what to sketch. Her long silvery blue hair was tied in a long twisting braid. Her lips were pursed in concentration.

Torak was purring in Rain's lap, his tail swishing back and forth. He was the newest member of the group, and was content just to lay there.

Tynan flew through the air, dropping lower every now and then only to soar higher again. He clacked ihs beak, laughing, as he looked down at Mia.She had been on his back, untill he turned suddenly, now she clung unhappily to his front legs, his claws wrapped around her wrists so she didn't fall.

Mia watched the ground below move by, quit annoyed that Tynan was playing around."Come on, cut it out and land already!"She knew he was doing it on purpose, just to have some fun.she wasn't worried though, if she fell he would be sure to catch her.

Aleraya smelled them first. She let out a worried cluck, heaving herself onto her feet. She rose her wings, her ears perked. She smelled gryphon and human, but couldn't tell if they were friendly or not.

Asriel growled, raising his head. He rose to his feet, standing beside Aleraya. He rose into a back-foot rise, raking the air with his front claws. He let loose a volley of screeches, letting whoever was near that they were ready for any danger that confronted them.

Torak leaped up from Rain's arms, scurrying in between Asriel and Aleraya's legs, eager to see another of his kind. He had yet to understand what danger was.

Rain saw the gray gryphon and gasped. She had seen that gryphon before, when it had been a whole lot smaller. And the owner. Rain narrowed her eyes, trying to see the owner, but she couldn't get a good view.

Tynan turned his head at the sound of the screetches, ears twitching curiously. He turnned suddenly, making a turn before going into a shallow dive. When he was a bit closer he circled over the small group, looking from one gryph to the other.

Mia couldn't really do anything but hang there, though she was none too happy about it.At the sound of te screech she looked downward, spotting the group, though she couldnt quite tell who they were from this height. As if he had read her mind Tynan went into his turn and dive to move closer."Hallo there, nice day, huh?"Her voice had a hint of sarcasm as she called down to the woman.

Rain put a hand on Aleraya's neck to calm her. "Sure is," she yelled up, grinning broadly. Some human company would be a nice change.

Aleraya obediently settled down, folding her wings neatly. She followed the gray gryphon closely with her eyes, checking for any sudden movement that might prove dangerous for Rain.

Asriel knew the scent of the gray gryph. It was the scent of the first gryphon he had met, and he wasn't ever about to forget it. He looked up at the gray, wonder sparkling in his eyes.

Torak leaped up into Rain's arms, cheeping happily.

Tynan's wings jerked as he dropped a few more feet, letting go of Mia's wrists, as they were now much closer to the ground. He landed on the grass and looked over the other gryphs, tail twitching. He didn't remember 2 of them, the larger adn brown one, but the small red one seemed familiar. He took a couple of steps forward, shifting from foot to foot.He wanted to see the little brown chick, but he wasn't sure if he should get too close with the large female there.

Mia let out a yelp as she suddely fell, landing heavily on her rear."Owww, a little warning would have been nice.."He stood up brushing grass off her pants, and rubbing her now sore rear a bit."That hurt.."When she looked back at Rain she smiled."You have quite a little group there."

"Yep," said Rain, grinning, shoving her sketchbook into her bag. "I do believe we've met before. Do excuse me, I've forgotten your name," she said. Rain didn't have the best of memories, and she tended to forget names easily.

Aleraya yawned loudly, lowering her head again. She wasn't needed, might as well go back to sleep. Aleraya closed her eyes, falling into another nap.

Asriel rose to Rain's side, flicking his tail back and forth. He nuzzled Rain's cheek, purring loudly.

Torak wound through Rain's legs, clacking his beak together. He looked up innocently into Tynan's face, cheeping loudly.

Mia chuckled."I think we have to, though I am not the greatest at remembering naes either.Im Mia."She gave Tynan's shoulder a scratch."Your gryphons sure look great, and what a cute little chick."She waved at Torak, smiling.

Tynan inched closer and sat down, looking from Torak to Asriel. He let out a soft trill, ears twitching and tail swishing behind him.2 babies in one place, it was great!

Torak peeped, sniffing Tynan's paw before curling up beside him. Torak liked this large gray male.

Asriel chuckled at Torak, remembering when he was that little. He had first flown at Torak's age, but it had been a freak accident that had caused it. Asriel remembered that day, grimacing.

Rain nodded. "Yep. Torak's pretty cute, though he's a bid dangerous if you get on his bad side...." said Rain, giggling. When she had met Torak, he had been so scared he nearly bit her finger clean off.

"I see.Funny how they look too cute for one to think you could lose a finger by one."Mia chuckled.

Tynan poked the tiny brown chick lightly, ears twitching happily. He looked up at Asriel, and cocked his head tot he side.

"He's got a nice set of chompers," said Rain, smiling. She winced as she remembered the boy who had lost a finger to the chick. She shook her head, clearing the image. Torak had been an abused little chick, he hadn't known better.

Torak nipped playful at Tynan's tail, catching it in his mouth.

Asriel bobbed his head at Tynan, clacking his beak together.

"Heh, I bet."She smiled and looked down at the chick.

Tynan's tail twitched a bit as t was caught in Torak's beak, the tuft at the tip flicking upwards a couple times. He cocked his head to the other side and gave another soft trill, blinking a couple times as he watched Asriel.

Asriel yawned loudly, placing his head on his paws. He closed his eyes, only to be woken again by a little tug on the end of his tail. Asriel one eye to find Torak pulling on it.

Torak dropped the tail as Asriel looked at him, slinking away bewhind Tynan. He let out a frightened chirp, squealing with delight as he saw Asriel following him. Torak scampered away, a skip in his step. He loved this game of chase.

Aleraya glanced over at the gryphons chasing eachother, sighing deeply. She nuzzled Rain's chin, chirping happily. She was completely content to stay next to Rain.

Rain smiled, watching the gryphons chase eachother. Torak was getting pretty big, and would soon grow out of such games. At least that's what she thought. But looking at Asriel, a full-grown somewhat serious gryphon playing chase bended these thoughts.
