Her white paws dug into the ground as Khepri kept walking, her hunched shoulders rolling as her slightly higher hips bounced. The ex-firekin was still looking... still searching... still wandering. But the days were beginning to get harder.. to get longer. Khepri was no longer as happy as she'd once been.
In fact the once gruff female was gruff once more and her smile was gone and had morphed into a complete frown. It had almost been a year since she'd started looking for the Ela'wayidi. She was an adult now.... an adult and she'd left as a cub. There was just something wrong about that.
Stopping in the middle of the savannah, Khepri stared off into the distance and sighed heavily.
Go ahead and cry you big baby.
You know that you want to.
It's killing you NOT to cry isn't it?
"SHUT THE ******** UP!" A roar echoed around the area of the savannah that she was on, her shoulders shaking so bad that the scars on the left side of her body started to roll from the motions. Khepri's golden eyes flashed like fire and she held back tears of anger at the voices in her head. They were driving her insane, why hadn't she been able to find these damned Ela' YET? Did they not exist? ninja

Through the shadows of the darkest groves, ripping muscles under short fur. Scarred and ragged from unkept days. Mane, however, sleek and tamed into twin bangs before him. Crimson eyes as if drenched in blood, lusting wanting it. His slender, lean body moved from the calm protective shadows and into the sunlight. With a flicker, he rushed off to the nearby water hole that he had been eyeing all day. He waited for the animals to all leave before going otherwise he would have even more blood on his paws. But that was not the reason why he came to the Pride Lands. Stupid place....
War gave him a mission to do and he was a loyal lion to those he saw aas a good fighter, a warrior, and an equal...even more. Na-be was here in the Pride Lands to his knowledge, then again War gave him little to go with. Strong blood, wanted him dead. Simple, no? To Kinari, an assassinate the male should be eay, Kinari was quite good at it. Quick and fast, the amount of pain is entirely up to him.
He laid down beside the water hole and licked up a few gulps of water and looked around. He had to make sure no one suspected him of anything, he had to keep his cover. If that lion was at that big pointed rock, then he would have to act.... as much as he would regret it.... civil.

Another roar rippled across the air as Khepri rolled her shoulders and whirled. She didn't want to go in that direction anymore. She didn't want to go in ANY direction.
"Ah'm so sick o' this." Khepri growled out gruffly, flopping on her white belly before the watering hole that had appeared before her without warning. Her golden eyes shimmering angrily as she simply dunked her head under the water without any real qualms. Bubbles formed and erupted all around her crimson head, popping and making the rest of the fur on her neck damp as well.
Maybe it was better if she just never lifted her head up, would rid her of all the voices for the rest of time after all... but all the same the huge lioness lifted her head and sighed up to the clouds. Why were they doing this to her? Why was she the only one of her siblings that had to deal with this? Was she THAT alone in her life?
Growling as she rolled onto her back, ears sinking beneath the water as she rolled her shoulders to keep her head from sinking, Khepri sighed tiredly, angry at herself and angry at fate. ninja

Kinari watched as a flicker of red disappeared into the water. What was that? The unknown made the lion get to his feet and look on to try to see what i was. His crimson eyes narrowed and his body moved around carefully. What was in the water? It just seemed weird that there was something else here that was red. He had been sitting in the shadows all day and saw nothing but the common animals that anyone could find.
He put a paw in the water and then the other. Perhaps he could get a quick kill of whatever it was. Sure it would be bad, but he could use that stupid excuse. Now what was it again? The one that others used when they killed others to get away with little blame..... hmmm..... Oh yes, 'self-defense'.
Before long the dark lion lunged forth into the water as well. His crimson eyes opened and before him was a large red lioness. <******** bigger than me. He chuckled and smirked. That never stopped me.

Golden eyes snapped in the direction of the splash, catching sight of the small brown and black male but not really feeling the need to open her white jaws and say anything to him. At least not until she saw the look in his eyes.
"Go away." Khepri said, her thick and incredibly slurred voice sliding from her muzzle heavily as she rolled over onto her belly again, eyes staring straight into his. She knew how to focus when it appeared that there would be trouble. That was how a cub had been able to leave the Firekin and survive until adulthood.
Muscles moved beneath her dangerously short crimson coat and the female stood, walking towards him into the water. If he wanted to attack her she'd at least show him that she wasn't anything to mess with. If it meant giving him a show of just how large or just how many muscles she had then so be it.
As she walked into the water, the liquid clung to her fur but barely passed the center of her lower legs. She was much larger than this smaller than normal male. Her fur showed everything from her large ribs to her rippling muscles.
"Get tha' look from yo're eyes cousin." she warned him, standing before him on braced white paws that were dug into mud. ninja

"And what look is that, female?"
Kinari always, if not almost, called strangers by male or female. However, when it came to males, being called "male" was rare and so they were dubbed idiots, bastards, fools, weaklings, whelps, fillies, and well.... anything that was degrading to their manhood, pride, and masculinity. Only those that he saw worthy were called by their names and if lucky, shortened parts of it.
Kinari was a warrior, a lion of war, conflicts, and brawls. His body was riddled with scars from past encounters and wore them as if medals of his triumphs. The only one that wasn't, the only scar he was not proud of showing was the one over his eyes. From betrayal of his own comrades. His trust was broken and so he gave it rarely.
"What makes you think you can tell me what to do? Is it because I am smaller than you? Let me tell you, that has never stopped me before."

"Ah don' care to tell yo' wha' ta do, cousin. Ah jus' don' feel like 'avin' otha's aroun' meh righ' now." Khepri responded, watching him with the eyes of a firekin, letting the blood that she normally kept hidden, kept locked up tight within her own heart so it didn't get out.
The minute the door was unlocked her eyes flared sharper than they had before, her fur all stood on end and the once dull fur almost seemed to alight right before the eyes of any looking at her. Firekin... firekin once more.
There she is.
There's our girl.
The will to live was a strange thing, and to be called such a degrading thing as 'female' instead of miss or whatever... that irritated her. She might be a female but she wouldn't be marked by it. Khepri was the largest Firekin born in existance, stronger than any of her siblings, faster than both of her parents, more fiery deep down than any cub born. She had denied her blood for months, had hidden it and cried at night from how it howled deep in her veins.
She didn't wish to harm the other, but if he kept up his mouth, accused her of saying things that she'd never said. She might no have wanted to meet any other right now, but at that moment her blood was screaming, screaming for her to show him what a mistake he'd just made... but it had been so long. ninja

"Oh no, I am sorry, did I hit a nerve? Let me get this straight, I sat here, for a drink, stalking this water hole all day and you come here not wanting company? You are truely a smart, smart person, oh wise one. This is a water hole, a gathering place for animals."
His tone was sarcastic and at the same time serious. He growled and bounded backwards, into an offensive position. He was not gonna let a female get the best of him, that, to him, was as degrading as being beaten by a rabbit. He narrowed his eyes and crouched low, taking small steps in a circular path around her. The best strategy (and the most underhanded, but hey, it is Kinari) was to attack from behind.
"My, my, my, now that I look at you more, you are quite a pretty one, not very dainty and graceful. Either way, I am sure you would make a great....."
He smirk letting her own imagination finish the rest of his sentence. Kinari was very unpredictable even to those who think they know him well. He was, by foundation, a proud fighter and a lusting male. Nothing hindered him, gender when it came to mating, who's blood, or who was his foe. Everyone was indifferent to him. As long as he got what he wanted.

Glancing back at him, Khepri spit in his direction and bristled her short fur in spite. "Ah didn' ask yo' wha' yo' was doin' out 'ere. Ah just told ya tha' yo'd be wise ta leave meh alone."
Her eyes watched his every movement and took stock of where he walked, making sure that he didn't get too far behind her before she swished one leg to the side and keeping him at her side or at her front. She wasn't stupid, Khepri had been raised in the hardest place on the svannah, even as a cub a Firekin couldn't let their guard down long enough to breath even, they could be killed by an adult that didn't like their parents or by another cub that would end up as a rival one day. It was how life went.
"Well, an' not ta be rude, but yo' look ugly as all 'ell." Her frown was evident on her white muzzle as she took him in with one eye. Of course she knew what he was hinting at, she was female and she'd been smart enough to be raised to know what a hint was when it came at her. Now did that mean she had to take it laying down? Of course not. If the male wanted her he'd have to come at her with his claws extended, because he wouldn't get as close as a step if he wasn't smarter about it.

Kinari moved carefully around her, a smirk and a glance. His eyes watched her move so he could not reach her back. Step by step, he walked around her in an endless cirlce as she turned with him. With a smirk, he stopped.
"Well, at least you know to never turn your back to a foe. But did you know that Terror has no bounds...."
With a swaying step and then another, he sprinted full at her, lunging with claws extended. he didn't care if he hurt her or what, but he was intended to get what he wanted. His claws swing left and right before landing. A miss? His back was turned, quickly he bound off and turned back in a large curve coming at her again.
This wasn't gonna end easy or soon.

Blood splattered through the air and streaked the water and ground deep crimson. Khepri tightened her jaw as blood slid down her neck and dripped across her broad chest. The crimson colors blended almost perfectly with her fiery fur and her golden eyes tinged blood red in turn.
Around her neck a necklace of scars had suddenly appeared from his slashes, marking her deeply though thanks to her amazing size and incredible luck she was lucky enough to not have died on the spot. Her muzzle pulled back to bare snow white fangs and Khepri took a few steps towards him on her large white tipped paws, eyes flashing with the typical Firekin blood-lust.
"Yo' 'aven't seen terror yet." She said, fur standing on end before lunging. Her huge claws extended from her paws and struck out at him. Khepri didn't expect to give in, didn't expect to win, didn't expect this to end quickly at all. ninja

Kinari had planned to match this female's blow for blow as a defense and sneak in a few hits at her neck or legs to either kill her or just immoble her for a while. His paws were splattered with blood and he did not mind, he reveled in it and just smirked. The blood just made him want more, more fighting, more deaths. He grinned deviously and narrowed on her, maybe he hasn't but there was a way she could. Kinari had a plan, one that would make her hurt emotionally and physically but in order to do it, she must sit still.... just for a moment.
The dark lion bound across the grass at her, lunging with paw pulled back, ready for a strong swing.
Wait.....
He had to conserve all of his rage, lust, and needs to kill for Na-be, what was he doing? He had to stop this and find that stupid lion first, War's orders.... but this female..... she pissed him off. First deal with her then Na-be.
