I'm guessing there a quite a few mixed sentiments about the advanced format, with its ban list, and the traditional format, with its powerful vcards that were broken both in concept and creation. (*cough* CED *cough*)
Personally, I prefer advanced. Sure, the whole thing just leads the way to Cookie Cutter decks that people like to use that has absolutely no originality put into them, but you had those in Traditional as well, only with much larger values of cheapness and hurt.
With advanced rulings, you are able to hinder the ability of your opponent to tilt the game into a onesided match that there is no hope to win in any scenario. Like a CED/Yata combo...
Ah well, what are your opinions?

This is a place for people to debate. I didn't really think it necessary to state my own opinions when I was merely looking for those of others but I suppose if it's so important...

Which do you prefer, Traditional or advanced?
My opinion is that Advanced format os far and away superior due to the fact that some cards are simply way way way too powerful. The existance of such cards completly changes how the game works, and changes it from a game of stratagy to a game of dumb luck where a lucky draw on the part of you opponent (I.E. pot of greedXreigeki+harpie's feather duster) can completly undo the most perfect defence. A two card combo exists in traditional format that allows you to win in one turn: Butterfly dagger elma + woodland spirte, if you have both of those cards in your hand at any point during the duel, you win (pretty much).

I hate the traditional though I do beat them sometimes. Its a cheat format the way I see it. A card is band one of which, exoida and other combos that all you have to do is to destroy a equip magic and draw a card. and it repeats itself.

though I will admit it very very fun when people take my fox fire with change of heart and try to tribute him for a tribute summon. I point at them and laugh.
