So, in the thread "House for Six" I described all of my household horrors.
Well, one just decided to scare the crap out of me yet again.
I was walking out of the bathroom when I, just for a second, glanced down the hallway where I've seen the dark figure of a man twice before. Note, the hallway was completely empty, and dark, as it's 40 after 10pm.
Well, I glance down there because I heard this soft sound, a low voice making a sound similiar to a 'haha'. Leaning out of the doorway only about two feet up from the ground I saw the dark figure of a head, no details, just the shape of a head, stuck out the doorway. I assume it was peering in my direction, because there was only a door in the other direction.
Well, needless to say, I ran to turn the hallway light on. Now I have to walk back up that hallway and back to put my annoying hamster in the bathroom for the night, and the door I saw the figure from faces right into mine.
I could tell it was a head because it clearly had a neck, and had what appeared to be short hair. To me it looked like a child, though I've only seen the hallway Thing as a grown man.
(Also, because the Things in my house lack enough human characteristics to be termed as a "ghost" or "spirit", I have taken to calling them Things, or Thing. It seems only appropriate)

I've seen dark figures like that also!
A long time ago when I was around 11 or 12, I was visited by one late at night/early in the morning.
I had awoken from the sound of my door being opened, I thought it was my mom checking in on me like usual. Well instead of seeing my mother, I saw a tall black figure in the shape of a man. There was a bright light behind him, he was standing in the doorway. He had no detailed features either, just a shape of a man that I could tell. I didn't see eyes, or details of clothing. Nothing like that. Just an outline of a mans shape.
Well he took one step in the room still holding the doornob, he looked to the left and then to the right. Then he backstepped out of my room and closed the door... I was so terrified that during the whole time I had sank low into my bed, not even breathing. I was so afraid he would walk up to my bed. But he just left, like that.
I walked out about 10 minutes later after I calmed down. The strange light was gone and he was too. The whole house was dark and everyone was asleep.
To this day, I still remember everything vividly and I still don't understand who it was that visited me or what its purpose was.

dont be scared (what the hell am i saying? its a freaking ghost)
Either ignore it, look at it but dont pay any REAL attention to it, unless it wants attention.
Then gawd damn it, pay attention.

It is a stalker ghost. rofl
You should try to talk to it and find what it likes in you and then see if you can stop it. Most ghosts only go after one person trying to communicate with that person because they can't get any one else.

crazy quantum It is a stalker ghost. rofl You should try to talk to it and find what it likes in you and then see if you can stop it. Most ghosts only go after one person trying to communicate with that person because they can't get any one else. I'm told I attract these things. (Mind you, the person who told me this was a pathological liar when he was younger, so he was probably just being crazy.) I'm surrounded by people sensative to these things. The first night the mist made his appearance, everyone in the livingroom kept hearing noises coming up the staircase, and eventually we had to go outside (at midnight), because someone was starting to feel sick from the presence. I'm also the only one whose encountered the newest occupant of the house, a cat that turned up in a photo when my friend and I were completely alone downstairs (as in, absolutely no other people /or/ animals). We've spoken to Jimmy, technically. It was an Ouija board, and he made a point of telling us he didn't like us. He also confirmed that he's the one I call Jimmy. Everyone encounters the Shadow man. However, Im the only one to see him. No one can walk down that hall at night without getting seriously uncomfortable. I'm not the only one who turns on the hall light when walking down it at night. No one, absolutely no one else has seen him as far as I've been told. I don't much like having seen him.

Have you gone down to city hall or the library and tried to find the records regarding your address?
Usually you can pinpoint the person who the manifestation represents or what happened to them if you check the old newspaper articles and municipal reports. I highly recommend it.
