Circle of Justice Headquarters [See next post for Faction Perk] Nestled in the shadow of Durem's Clocktower, a small, square building made of stone stands on its own. Like a brick from the gods, if it weren't there the most striking object on the street would be a single nearby manhole. Small square windows reveal a light within, shadows moving back and forth and hushed voices intermingle with determined commands. Welcome to the Circle of Justice.
Inside, there are three cramped rooms: a main room where the master of the house, Hiroshi Mumei, greets his guests and gives them the ability to utilize the marbles they bring him. Give him your word that you will snuff out any evil that you encounter, and he will give you the triangular mark of the Accessory. Those who receive his mark are healed freely by his servant mages. Behind the main room are cramped living quarters, where they sleep side-by-side on matted floors.

"The strength of evil rises."
Hiroshi slid his tea away from him. "We must be prepared. Are you ready to accept the power of the marbles?" he said to whomever was there.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever you say Chief."
Athan shrugged his shoulders, arms crossed in front of his chest. He didn't seem too concerned about the weight of the whole situation. But then again, when did he ever let the weight of the world fall on his shoulders?
His sword was propped up against the wall next to him, no real point in hefting the thing around while they were having this little boy scout meeting.
It was a quick look around the room that he noticed a few familiar faces. Owle among them.
Kind of ironic that he ended up being grouped with people that he had never met before in his life when so many of his former allies had shown interest in the same thing.
"But just so we're clear. What is the power of the marbles? And could we call them power orbs or something? Because marbles just sounds so...fruity."

"Do it," he said, not waiting for further response. A cleric burst from the other room, garbed in white, and tossed a pile of sand on the floor. Hushed mumbling--mumbling under his breath. The sands sifted in the floor, changing into the three-pronged figure with a hollow circle in the middle, sliding under the feet of Angel, Athan, and Tweak. It rotated around them, a bright light enveloped the room, and...
A burning pain on a patch of skin, different for each of the three. The figure materialized over that patch, and the marbles shot from their hands, finding its way to the hollowed circle and affixing itself to their bodies.
Suddenly, a wave of power swam through their veins. The power of the marbles belonged to them.
[Addendum]
"Well?" Hiroshi asked coldly. "What is the power of the marbles?"

"...anoooo..." Eileen Patterson glanced apprehensively up at the foreboding stone square building. It wasn't necessarily a tall structure, but the bangs over her left eye made it hard to see past sometimes. She snugged her doll close to her chest, the D-cell sized, nail polish-red cylinders on the shins and arms of the Angelic Layer toy clanking faintly before gliding over the sleek fabric of her black and white jumpsuit with a whispered rasping.
Her voice was very soft...soft enough that only someone extremely close to her could make out that she'd said anything. "...ano...is this the right place...?" she asked herself. And to answer herself, she unclipped her jPhone from her side, and used the touch screen to sort through the music section to her notepad. "...eto...hai....haaiiii...hai." Exactly where the little girl had told her it would be. She glanced back up at the building. It didn't look round. It also didn't look to be made of gleaming gold and ivory, with knights in shining armor cantering past on their magnificent heavy warhorses.
She sweatdropped. Then she tenatively reached for the door, rested one finger on it very lightly, then took her hand back, retreating to the doll once again. "....mou..."

Hiroshi's ear perked up at the sound of his native language--at long last!
"Ha, douka nazatta ka?" he asked in clumsy, antiquated Japanese. "How can I help you?"

His eyes locked upon the cleric that entered the room. And instantly, Athan's casual demeanor turned into one of hesitation. He didn't want anything to do with crazy magic rituals.
And just as he moved to grab his sword, the sand slid beneath his feet and a bright flash of light momentarily distracted him. His right hand which had gripped the hilt of his weapon suddenly had a very itchy, burning sensation on the top of it. So, out of reflex, he opened his left hand.
That marble launched itself out of his hand and stuck itself into the back of his right hand, leaving Athan to stare at the strange new tattoo and the round object stuck inside his hand.
If that wasn't enough, it felt like his muscles were on fire. And not just as if they were burning. He felt supercharged, like he could punch through a solid wall if he wanted to.
Well, he probably could anyway, but now he felt like he could do it with ease.
"I really want to punch something."
He looked around the room.
"Now."

Well that was nice and radically quick.
Athan asking a question, some weird guy in white rushing in, and then all of that magical s**t started. Tweak was just glad he was wearing shades or it might have actually been kind of painful for his eyes. Guy was not quite yet aware it would be painful in general.
He was not at all comfortable with having weird magical figures under him though. Got him all nervous and paranoid, as shown by him staring at the circle. Expecting some big and bad, all that good stuff.
Got what he wished for too as the burning sensation, not an STD kthx, started up around the navel area. For a moment he actually was kind of worried it was one, but then it got a bit more painful and inevitably made him yell about 'it ******** hurts!' in a really fast tone of voice. So much so that he did not even notice his marble jet to his navel as he pulled his shirt up to check it out.
He certainly noticed the red on white marble and the mark it was embedded in then though.
"What the ******** is this s**t?" Free hand, other holding his shirt up, pointing to it. "Where did the stuff that was there go? Did you curse me? Mayn I was cursed before, s**t sucks, I better not get pain when I-" Stopped with a sigh as he started poking at it.
...As for effects of it? Tweak just kind of felt pissed off y'know? But that was not really anything new and he was just kind of ignoring it for the moment.

"Yes, I can feel the power coming off of you in waves!" the samurai yelled. "And a little off you, too," he added to Tweak.
"Now you can smite evil with ease," Hiroshi continued, crossing his arms over his chest. "But do not become overconfident, or it may be you who is smited instead."

Japanese. Ooh. Well that made her a bit more comfortable at least... The small brunette took a deep breath, and pushed through the door quickly, closing her eyes and ducking her head as she did so. "...aaahhgomennasai~..." she apologized in a rushed, hushed voice. Then she opened her eyes to see a big man looking at his hand. Quote: "I really want to punch something." He looked around the room. "Now." The girl blinked up at him like a doe caught in headlights, then covered her head with her arms, ducked, and eep'd.

((Ah, this is why I never RP with three accounts at once.))
"There's nothing to be surprised at," he said to the girl, moving to get a better view of her. The room was getting pretty crowded...
"What brings you to this place?"

"People've been telling me that my entire life."
He gave Hiroshi a thumbs up, regardless, and snagged his sword with the recently tattooed and marbled right hand. With his left, he snagged Tweak, and jerked his head towards the door when he looked at Angel.
"Alright, let's go you two. Umm...hey, guy."
He looked back to Hiroshi as they started out.
"We're just sort of freelancing, right? No real sort of objective other than kil--get rid of the evil, right?"
It was at that moment that he noticed another person entering the room. She was small, even by normal standards. Not to mention she hadn't really done anything to deserve a punching. He paused, stared at her for a moment, then laughed a hearty laugh that men such as he could afford to do.
"Not you."

"Yes," Hiroshi said, grinning back at Athan. A true samurai walks the line between composure and cockiness. "Go, beat the hell out of evil!"
