He was hoping that she would be there by the time he arrived at the meeting place… but what was he to expect, those humans, they just could not help but take there time. Looking around, walking painfully slow, having to inspect every inch of this strange new land they had suddenly appeared in.
Qwert could not help a whine chuckle as he imagined a faceless human wandering about, completely lost, with its mouth hanging open.
But the thought only amused him for a short while, before he was back to waiting.

He had pulled his human in at the north outskirts of Operis, and had planned to ambush her as she entered the city. A whole grand introduction, a couple of laughs, perhaps some pranks. Who knew, maybe she was over her idiotic fear of laugher; they could have a grand time finding things to amuse them. Though, He certainly did not get his hopes up.

He heaved a heavily sigh, body hunched, tail sprawled out behind him. waiting was certainly not one of his more enjoyable activities, especially waiting for something he didn’t exactly care for.

Not too far away from the hysterical demon, the soft screeching of metal on metal could be heard.. Following after it a squeaking. Over and over.. a rythmic sound, sickening and fightening to be heard in Operis' dark dreary alleys. As the sound got closer.. it grew louder until it was evident the source was merely a few feet away- hidden by a ruined building's shadow.

"Laughing... always laughing... Do you not have anything better to do... Creations these days.. always lazing about..." The voice was hallow and wheezy, like an old man's who had trouble breathing.

Intent on not being caught with his back to something unpleasant, the beast pulled quickly to his feet, bounding forward and taking three long strides around, leaping up and latched himself to the side of a crumbling building. Twisting his head awkwardly around to try and spot the source of the Irritating screeching.

As it stopped, another noise arose in its absence... One that… well that Qwert would really not have expected. A feeble, weak and probably very, very aged voice.
Qwert responded, with a round of powerful laughs.
“Oh liven up old man,” he barked as his laugher died down, continuing only in small snickers. He attempted to locate the others position, but not being able to make out much at all.
“Though for you I don’t expect any miracles BAAAHAHAAAHAA”

The screaching and squeaking started again, and the owner of the old voice finally came into view.. slowly though, taking his time- as most ancients do. His form from the waist up was that of an old, wrinkled man, eyes sunk into his head, layers of drooping, spotted skin framing the dark sockets. He had long shagy white hair, the hair line having grown back to the top of his head. But in return he had a long bead, braided at the end as it dragged the ground. His bottom half, if he even had one, was burried under a layer of scrap metal of various sizes. Most of them were small sharp peices that he had picked up along his slow journeys.

It was obvious however that he had no legs. Under the pile of metal that he carried with him was a larger piece, rusted and cracked around the edges. It was suspended on four wobbily wheels, looking as if he had stollen them from a junked tricycle. They wobbled and squeaked as he went on... He used his hands to pull himself forward. They were longer then normal man's and the hands were fingerless. In their places were long metal claws that he had sewn and jabbed into place, so that he could dig them into the cement of the street and help himself along..

His shakey head turned up slowly, deep sockets observing the hyperactive hyena. "You mock me, child... But I was here before your creater's creater had even thought to take a breath... Had even thought of creating you..! You... you and all your... liveliness... All to waste... what a waste..." He turned back to his path and pulled himself along a few more feet- old tired hands working as they had always worked, creating the sickening screaching.

Qwert just watched the old creature, with an amused glint in his dark eye.
He was irked by this stubborn old comically inept pile of scrap metal.
Releasing the hold he had on the building, he kicked off of it. Hooves and nails screaming against the metal of a lamp post as he caught it, and situated himself awkwardly on its long neck, branched tails hanging lazy behind him.

Now back in front of the old creature, he opened his mouth wide, in a mock smile, streams of saliva still clinging to his teeth breaking only when they where stretched to thin to hand on any longer. “AAHAA” he barked, snapping his jaws shut again and staring almost annoyed at the old man.
“So then what have you done that’s so worth while?” he asked,

His head rolled back to observing him again, his skin sagging even more as he frowned. "Child... I have had more humans then you have teeth... Which you show off very nicely..." Now that the demon was in front of the old man, he would notice that when he spoke.. His mouth was hallow of teeth, blackened gums swollen around small pieces of metal that had been pushed there, like the pieces on his hands. They lined together in an uneven line, glinting lightly in the dim light.

"And you... What have you done...? I've seen you over time.. Only laughing and playing your jokes..." His eyes moved down, the dry orbs shifting around in their holes. His lips twitched up slightly and he dug into the ground, pulling him closer to some destination a few feet away.. A shakey spiked hand reached out and fumbled at a piece of metal, arms bending to raise the treasure up to his face. He brushed it over his wrist to wipe the dirt off till it gilstened.. Then he smiled, flashing the teeth again, then placed it tenderly amoung his collection.

"You should devout your life to something, child.."

Ears flattened back against the ungodly noise he made, Qwert’s muzzle wrinkled at the old man’s words. Though he could not find anything but the truth in what the metal nightmare said, apart from the man’s apparent disapproval for Qwert’s laugher. Qwert realized it was something that was not really worth fighting over. Poor deluded old beast, probably never laughed in his life.
“ahg, fine old man, you win”
Chin drawing in closer to his board chest he smoothed his muzzle out and presented the old Nightmare with a toothy grin.
“Can’t say much about your teeth though” he chuckled.
Tails flicking in amusement. “And learn to laugh it up a little. What good’s life if you can’t make fun of it” his grin died a little as his ears fanned forward. Softly cackling he dropped his head down below his body, looking back as the shadow of a tentative moving figure slowly formed in the dark distance. So she was finally here.
Shifting his head up just slight she smirked at the old man. “Give me a laugh old man.” He said slipping forward and landing roughing on the pavement in front of the metal nightmare, careful to keep his distance. “I wanna hear it is as creaky as the rest of you haa haa”

The old man just looked him over slowly, a disaproving look overcoming him. "Our kind are not for laughing and jokes! You child.. You dont even know what you were made for! Where is your purpose? Who are you scaring, who are you helping?" He raised a hand and waved it at him, metal claws glistening through the air. "Bah! At least laugh at the one you were meant to laugh at! If it was not for her you wouldnt even be around to laugh! Bah!" He shakily looked away, grumbling under his breath as he stretched out his hands to grip the ground and slowly pull him forward, screaching and squeaking on down the street, continuing her quest for treasured metal.

Qwert just sat, staring amused at the old man, a small chuckle starting in his chest, letting him ramble on like old fools obviously needed to. Slowly building up his snigger till the demon’s jaws where gaped open, laughing hysterically at the nightmares’ slowly retreating back.
Hands scooping up fist full of small rocks, he pelted them forward causing them to bounce off the old nightmares, back, head and metal body, this of course only caused Qwert to laugh even harder, screams emitting from his voice, as if this level of laughter pained him, though his expression showed no sign of Agony.
“Old fool”
He said though his laughs. Then turned to face the figure, that had long since stopped her advance. And seemed to be hunched over.
“ohhh good, didn’t frighten her away so soon.” He snickered “don’t wanna waist when little time I have trying to track her down again”
He turned back to the old man, smirking cruelly. Then with out a word, leaped up into the second story of a broken window and took off.

Ara glanced around her, looking for her human. She knew she had pulled the female in somewhere, but she hadn't been paying much attention to where. Ara had been plotting her 'introduction' to the human. She ws balanced carefully on a high window over looking the nightmarish city. She flapped her wing pathetically. She was bored. Bored was not good. She could go look for a victum to torment, but she really wasn't in the mood, how unlike her, and plus, who was there to bother? No one from the looks of it. She watched as a laughing Nightmare lept away from something. Loud and annoying. Then again, it might draw attention away from her if her human were to appear at this moment.
She scanned the dirty street below her again, then a scared looking form appeared walking around a building.
"Finally," The demon whispered. She lept off her tall, run down building, flapping her wing in the hopes to regain balance. Somehow she managed to land on the ground silently, looking down at the small, scared Ink standing in front of her.

This place was foreign to her; she had no idea, how she had gotten there, or why. She didn’t even know what to call the place, from what she could tell, the murky darkness made it hard to see any details or objects that where not within six feet of her. but there was, occasional, very dim glow in the distance, drawing her rather unwillingly towards it.

At first, she had dismissed this strange event as a dream, for what else could it be. But… she had to admit, she had never had a dream quite like this before. It was… different, there was so much to see, and in a constant detailed way, as she slowly passed then she could make out each chip of crumbled stone, laying on a cracked and littered concrete ground. She could feel the texture underneath her feet, and the cold.
Giving a small shudder she folded her arms in attempts to protect her chest from the chill.
But probably the most confusing thing about this Dream, if that what it was… was that she could think perfectly clear. Usually, when she decided something was a dream, she would wake up, or just feel herself sleeping, but that didn’t happen this time.

She grew frightened, the need to understand why this was happening continuing to more her feet forward. Soon she came upon something new. An enormous shadow loomed in from the darkness, tall, and solid, soon more joined it, then more, then more. All unmoving, with out life. Lights flickering feebly against the dark, but just enough to complete the image in her mind
“A city” she uttered under her breath.
A very sad excuse for a city, a dieing city… or more like a dead city, but at one point it must have been a bustling productive aria.
She could not see anything, and though she could not hear anything, she knew that there was still life in there, and something told her she didn’t really want to meet the inhabitance.
Before she could make up her mind to leave however, sounds, not belonging to her rose up slowly in the air, bouncing off the one great buildings, and filling the aria with its haunting and to her, terrifying sound.
Laughing. Someone was laughing.

Head pounding very quickly she let out a pathetic gasp, and staggered backwards, head turning desperately to try and find the source. Who was laughing? Who? Make it stop!
Clasping her hands desperately over her ears, muffling the sound, but she still knew it was there, she could feel it touching her body, and the echoes of it continued to bounce around in her head. Make it STOP!!

Ahh, there she was, as cowardly as he had hoped. Arms were clutching one another, eyes shifting uncomfortably as they scanned the surrounding of his home.
He could not help but let out a piercing cackle at this pathetic sight, though to his great displeasure, her reaction offended him, but as he had expected, she had not changed since she created him. Her desperate recoiling was a dead give away
“Bah” he grunted in mock imitation of the old man he had recently been acquainted to. Curling his lips to scowl at the small figure below him. For as much as he was looking forward to this. Something told him, it was not going to be as much fun as he would have hoped.
With out another sound. He leaped forward, concealing himself in the fog and darkness of the dead city.
Her hands plastered over her ears. She did not notice that there was anyone approaching her, till she squeezed her eyes open, to see a massive, fang lined face nearly touching her nose.
“Hello Haahaa” the beast chuckled, in a voice she could hear even though her hands.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 06, 2007 12:15 pm

Not even letting out a scream, her mouth clasped tightly shut, she flinched and launched herself backwards, staggering away from the beast. Her heart was beating so far it hurt; quite obviously it was this creature that was laughing before, but even if it wasn’t. She did not want to stick around to figure out what I could do.
Hands still over her ears. Ambur turned, and bolted as fast as she could from the beast, and the city. She had to find her way home, but how? She had no idea how she had even gotten here; she was supposed to be sleeping!
She didn’t get far however, something dark, with a lot of mass streaked by her, an unknown object clogging her painfully on the back of her head, causing her to stumble and trip, landing heavily and painfully to the ground, hands not daring to remove themselves from her ears, as she could hear more laughing picking up above her.
She curled up, nails digging into the side of her head to distract her
“STOOOP!” she shrieked.

He had hoped she would attempt to get away; it was classic monster vs. Human. Human run, monster gives chase, gosh how he had always wanted to be apart of that. With gleeful bounds he leaped after his fleeing victim. Easily passing her, and swinging a branch of his tail to knock her to the ground as he did so. Spinning sharply and taking a seat, smirking down at the human crumpled at his hands.
Haaa haa haa HAAHAAHAA, his shoulders shook, laughing coming out in screams, as he could not contain the humor with in him.
“awww, what’s the matter?” he cooed mockingly, reaching a claw out, grabbing the back neck of her clothing and easily peeling her from the shattered cement ground,
“It was only a joke. Lighten up” he chuckled, turning his face to the side, and downward. Gleaming dark eyes wide, as his jaw fell open in a grotesque smile
