As some of you may know, I have been staying far....far away from the dubbed Naruto. But, I recently got home to find it own the TV, and watched it.
Holy s**t.
Were they on CRACK?
All the Japanese they say sounds so horribly off because of the terrible voices they used. Haku says Zabuza's name, like he's Norma Desmund, only as a man. ( It's gross. )
And I cant tell if its the Translation thats bad, or if they changed the dialog completely. Like...some dubbed anime keeps the actual translation, but in Natuto its like they changed every single word they say except the 'cool phrases'. :/
And it really, took me forever to figure out it was Zabusa talking. His voice doesn't fit him. :<

Hehe, I don't like the anime anyway, the manga is about a thousand times better, but then again everyone prefers different things. I pray that they don't dub the fillers. Please, dear god do not let them make a dub of the fillers..

It's because they're doing it the 4Kids way: aim it at impressionable 9-year-olds and profit profit profit!
When I was at the London Expo last October, I was talking to Sasuke and Temari's VAs when somebody asked if they could take this video, and I cringed. Same as there was somebody who kept shouting "BELIEVE IT!" and talking about Pot Noodles...
Although I feel kinda bad for hating Sasuke's voice. His VA is really nice, he let me and Misha annoy him with yaoi questions and he got this pervy drunk guy away from me sweatdrop

From what I've been told they can't even pronounce words like "genin" and "hokage" right.
as in they say 'gee-nin' inseted of 'geh-nin'.

naruto's voice is too squeaky, sasuke's voice is to adultish, sakura's voice is too girly.... everyone's voice is horrible in the dub! I mean wtf! and have you ever heard temari's voice! it's ******** horrible! they change the lines, they pronounce names bad:

nah-rroo-to
te-ma-rri
hou-ka-gei
sal-ku-rrah
it's sad... especially that when u come to think about it, their going to ruin an anime's reputation even worse, just by making pokemon most ppl in the us think anime and manga stinks... not saying that pokemon was bad.. but since ppl really didnn't get the story they hated it... and that's what'srpobably gonna happen with naruto sadly.. it should just stay in toonamy, not 6days a week.... sigh

The voices don't seem to match with the characters. But ever since it's been on Toonami, Naruto's been really popular and I went to Epcot's Japan store and they have a lot of Naruto merchandise there. But the thing that really annoys me most is when there's kids there who say Naruto wrong so everytime I search for something, all I hear is "Hey mommy! It's Na-roo-to!" I was about to yell at the kids but that's not nice....

When they played it on the early morning kids cartoon show over here in Australia they even cut stuff out of it. Like any tiny bit of blood. When Kakashi had blood all over him they couldn't be bothered to edit it out so they just played those bits in greyscale... o.o wtf? And then there's the random shots of feet where blood it supposed to be dripping but isn't.
Also you know when Naruto and Sasuke are fighting Haku and they have all the needles things in them? They cut the needles out. Stupid stupid people. *shakes fist*
Oh and have you heard how they pronounce Shikamaru's name? They say something along the lines of Shika*pause*maahru.

Naruto's dub voice makes me want to scratch out my ear drums. Seriously. AND GOD THE MISPRONOUNCIATION KILLS ME!

Ca-KA-she... Ka-BOO-toe... *Cries* I saw a clip on youtube and curious so I clicked it and it was the scene where Kakashi comes in on Kabuto when he was near Sasuke with the scaple in the hospital room.... pure crap.
