The sounds were only imagined, but the light was still there, streaking across the sky and lighting it for one brief moment of vibrance as that star was released from the pain it had been holding. Kara watched it burn out of existence, the memories flickering in her eyes long after the spectacle had settled out of view.

This was like the river. Flowing so quickly, with such pain, anger, and heartbreak. This was like her life and the life of all wolves. Each star respresented a life, and that one streaming across to the end of the world was her won. So fatally close to death, but never quite getting there, and always running.

Except she could no longer run. The accident had left her back legs crippled. Her body was a living Shaman wonder. What Ran had managed to heal was amazing. Her ribs were still slighty indented, but she could breath, and she could move, with stunning grace to the near dead and paralyzed body that had so recently plagued the riverside. The one Pavati had discovered and so therein thought her dead. The shell that had been fed by the beady eyes of a fox and the malicious, greedy intentions of Voodoo.

It would be a long time before she returned home to reclaim the position of her land. Though she may never run with the strength and endurance that she had once possessed - for the muscle had been slowly eaten away - by traveling a short few hours at a time soon she'd be able to walk for whole days again. Perhaps after that she'd be blessed with short runs, but never again to lavish in the forever trends of hard breathing and sacrafice. That would be a longing in her heart to go with the one every present on her mind.

And she was sure Kaho had not said a word.

Light, the dreadful thing that rips her out of her peaceful night life. Cuts at her pale eyes, and eats away at her heart. The only thing the light of morning reminds her of is the last day she seen them. The last day she seen those now muddled images of her old family. She wouldn’t see them again, but she was too stupid to know that. How could one that forgets just about everything once a new day comes understand the reason she was really asked to leave?

It was when she walked out into the light that she felt it. The dizziness, the crazy tired, the ache for another to be by her side to comfort her. He father. Where was he now.. Why didn’t he come with her? She slumped over and collapsed onto the ground. It would be only a short amount of time before she would awaken. New, reborn in a sense with only the faintest of ideas as to what happened the night before. One could say she lead a peaceful life, not remembering her troubles. Others said it was the worst thing possible and that she needed to learn to face her conflict that caused her to be this way.

It was an hour later that cloudy blue eyes slowly opened. The white snow that pasted the ground was blinding, and she had to shut her eyes soon after opening them. Why in the world was it so bright out. The light never had that much affect on her. It made he almost dizzy to try and look around and try and get up. She had to though. She had to start hew day. She had to keep traveling until she found utopia for her family. Of course.. She didn’t understand it was all in vain.

“..Bright light, go down so my eyes will be able to work correctly.” she whispered to herself as she bent her head down low and started on her way, her feet crushing the snow below her. It was almost like it was singing to her. Why did it make the noise though? Normally… normally it didn’t. Did it?

Kara's ears rotated on their access as she watched the sun rise. She had stopped in her walking, and her brain had turned off for a remote moment to simply gaze at the wonderworld beyond. It was like this every morning now. She felt numb to life, not really caring what came and what went. Only knowing that she wanted the blood of Raja and of Tekka, and it always lingered on her mind. Never had she known such bloodlust except for the wolf Kiros, and even that premonition had begun to fade from the air. She could no longer hate him with such a passion. She'd seen them. Their family, resting among the rivers. Perhaps she'd grow to accept him like she once had.

A noise interrupted her thoughts, causing a gutteral growl to flow out of her maw. She knew sometimes she thought too deeply, but anything sneaking up on her was a distinct cause for worry. She turned her head around to see where the patter of feet came from.

It was there she spotted it - no she - trudging through the snow and blinking from time to time. Difficulty seemed to plague this one. Perhaps it was the light. Kara flicked her gaze from dawn to snow, her own eyes revolting from the sight. That must have been it, the sharp rays of the sun reflecting off the snow.

The red once alpha shivered, cold air never had been her forte. She lavished in the heat and the steam of her cooling rivers. Bathing in Etheopian suns with those brutal winds that took the sand from the earth and threw it to your face.

"Hey," she called, her eyes stilled upon that figure, showing no deep emotion, only slight curiosity hidden above something that was perhaps much more.

More crunching followed she moved about the snow, her eyes flinching from the harsh rays of light. If only her eyes were a darker color, and if only the light was less bright. She breathe a small sigh as she closed her eyes and focused on her moving. It was only then that she heard a low growl which caused an immediate flinch to ripple through the females body and cause her to freeze.

She heard a growl like that before. A female growl that said to back off. She couldn’t recall where though. It was so troublesome, she hated not being able to recall things that seemed to be partially remembered. Where did her memories go anyway? She knew they had to be there some place.. But where did they go?

Taking a small, shallow breath the female slowly opened her eyes and looked towards what ever was growling at her. She hadn’t done anything wrong had she? Was she doing something wrong right now? The female shook her head a few times to try and think of an idea as to why she had gotten such a response.

Tightening her jaw some as she thought hard on what she had just done her brows furrowed and she looked up at the red female and cocked her head. “I don’t.. did I… What did I do? I am sorry. Please..” She didn’t get it. Why did she look unthreatening after just growling. Was there another that growled?

Looking around the area the female didn’t make out any signs of other wolf. It had to be the red female. Now she seemed to be interested in her. Was it fine for her to take a step forward… “…I .. yes?” God this was so uncomfortable.

Kara didn't move an inch as the other wolf began to stutter. It was a common reaction for wolves to have to her, whether she had been growling or not. For Kara was not a normal wolf, she was ungainly tall, matching the biggest of males, but lacking the big-boned body of the opposite gender. She was simply tall, and lanky, perfect beauty for her type, but most certainly not in the eyes of any of the wolves that lived in these parts.

Kara chose not to answer right away, instead she settled back onto her haunches to take in the other. She seemed confused, uncertain, or insecure. Which, or any combination of these, Kara was not sure, but there was something amiss in the way this one carried herself, as though there were no definition she lived by.

It reminded her of herself when she was younger. The uncertain lone that was near starvation most of the time, but had worked back up into a position of power and was now well fed. . .

Well, not at this distinct moment. She hadn't eaten anything in a day or two, and her nutrition had not been high on the scale before that. Mostly she'd been living off of scraps. So yes, again, she was deemed to the life of a lone, her ribs clearly diplayed on one side, and on the other a sunken cavity where the ribs had been crushed inwards.

"You look. . . " she paused, narrowing her eyes at the figure and searching for something. There was really nothing to say, she hadn't intended to engage in serious conversation upon shouting hey, but the other had seemed so confused, it was only appropriate to snap them into reality. "Any reason your so nervous?" she finaly decided upon, quirking one brow. She supposed being an alpha all those years kept you a little more relaxed than whatever status this one held in her pack.
